Do you even know the age difference between them? It is 40 YEARS!! Her Majesty was born in 1819, the Lord was born in 1779. The Lord was much older than Her Majesty's father
Lord Melbourne seemed to really respect and appreciate her as a person and had a great sense of humor. Albert seems to constantly to scold her and tries to control her. His character is very unlikeable.
Eleesia's Portraits maybe a little stiffish......But how else could a BBC production deal with a German princeling!?!.....But you can't say he doesn't get easy on the eyes as things go along.....Which is very lucky since the dishy Lord M has gone to hunk heaven.......And it's a long time till Mr Brown.
linda eckles looks-wise Albert isn't really my type. And I still can't stand him as a character. The most I could stomach him was when they were in Scotland at that elderly couple's house. but I'll openly admit to clearly being biased against him from the beginning. When I saw his face reveal I was like 'meh' and as we got to see more and more of his personality, I usually just wanted to smack him. My only hope is the show strays into sci-fi and they bring back Lord M in some ludicrous 'that wasn't me that died, it was my clone' type plot. 😂😂😂😂
GOD do I know that feeling so bloody well. I'm sort of stuck in a very similar situation myself and, my goodness the reality of it sucks and hurts like hell. I have NEVER related to Victoria so much before.
There’s only so much stock I can put into Daisy Goodwin’s description because she says Lord M is 30 years older when he was actually 40 years older. I don’t think there was anything romantic at all in real life. But with two attractive actors who are closer in age? Absolutely. And it was written to be romantic.
Does anyone know where I could buy the Victoria Masterpiece Collection....I live in Canada and I would love to give my mother your Beautiful Collection... Thankyou
The way I see this is that.. she was locked away with no one but mother, her mothers lover/"councilor" and her governess. She was only free when se became Queen at the age of 18 of course she is going to fall for the first real man she sees... there is also the thought the Lord Melbourne took advantage of her youth and the way she was brought up to get her do do what he wanted... until be may or may have not fallen for her as well.
It is for this reason that during the discussions, Albert reproaches Victoria for her "defects" being the result of Baroness Lehzen's bad upbringing, while Lord Melbourne hid the reality of his country in order to continue spoiling her.
However attractive the two actors are, the fact remains that Melbourne was FORTY years older than Victoria. Who would want their 18 year old daughter married to a 58 year old man? ...
This is the type of older man to wish for - kind, strong, honorable, sad, funny, selfless. What a man
Oh, my, yes! He's the perfect man! If I could meet a modern Lord M kind of man, I would rethink my commitment to being single!

Agreed 😭🎩🌹
There was something so intense and at the same time so pure about their relationship. It's actually one of the best I have seen on t.v
I love their relationship, their kindred spirits
They're
Even though I love Victoria and Albert together, I will always ship Victoria and Melbourne together

I love him! I also think that she loves him still because she said at the finale “you were ALMOST right
This is way better than fiction.
They were really soulmates. He made her smile in a way and happier than Albert seems to
Debbie Blackman no
NO.

Beautifully innocent part of the relationship.

Please tell us more. What happened in the end? Could you and your love be together?
@nachi picas Unfortunately not. He moved out of the country to support his mother, and I haven't seen him since. I miss him terribly though. 😔
Oh… no good. You could contact your lord M though and tell him your feelings. You already have a no, you just need the yes. You have nothing to lose
And Victoria ( State ) has Melbourne ( Capital City ) in Australia. Says it all.

Isn’t there a Melbourne, Victoria in Australia 🇦🇺
What?
Yes, there is.
@@Ana-mf1cz Yup. Capital City. It's safe to say it's the very heart of Victoria 😉
@@Qvotes Well isn't that poetic?
Wow!
So perfect 😍😍😍
Very well expressed, Ms. Goodwin.

His actual name was William Lamb, but he probably got fed up of people making sheep noises around him
