Border View Farms is a mid-sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. My name is Nathan. I make and edit all of the videos posted here. I farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. Our part-time employee, Brock, also helps with the filming. 1980 was our first year in Waldron where our main farm is now. Since then we have grown the operation from just a couple hundred acres to over 3,000. Watch my 500th video for a history of our farm I filmed with my dad.
I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. Agriculture is different from any other industry and I believe the more people that are showing their small piece of agriculture, helps to build our story. We face unique challenges and stressful situations but have some of the most rewarding payoffs in the end. I get to spend everyday doing what I love, raising my kids on the farm, and trying to push our farm to be better every year. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture.
I hope you enjoy my content and ask questions as you have them. I do my best to answer anything I can. Thanks for watching!
I appreciate you subscribing to my channel and liking my videos. You can also find me on Facebook borderviewfarms and on Instagram @borderviewfarms

The water being pushed out by grease was a great moment to capture Brock. Good job!
Some times hard surface welding requires the part be heated to a certain temperature
From a toolmaker, most hard steel needs to be pre-heated before weld and post heated to let it come down slowly to not crack or put stress in the part.
Happy birthday Anna. Looking forward to seeing the light project completed.
You should let Brock be a taste tester 😊
It popped at 5:13 right after you completed your weld!
Good morning, Happy Birthday Anna!
Good job Brock!!

Man that new stuff is so nice when it works but such a pain and expensive when it don’t! Just weld them solid when they are down 😂

Good morning
17:30 well there is no directions where these go....
my mind instantly reply'ed ''I wonder if taking them out one by one and replacein from the ''box'' was a ''better idea'' ;) hehehe eh... you STILL have them all lined up in groups right??
Please share what you do with your steps my wife’s steps are doing the same thing.
Also an idea to grease b4 u wash, and then maybe again afterwards... has its advantages.
Yes it’s true on manifolds. You should hear a tick tha sounds like a Spark plug wire arcing .. There Aldo known for bad lifters that wipes out cam shaft and bearings use 5-30 instead of 5/20 to help prevent it..
LED fixture listed as Amber.
See if there is a way on this fixture to tune the Kelvin on it.
Drop this down toward 1700 for an amber effect. Higher would go toward white.
Those rams crack manifolds all the time. They're pretty easy to do. U can hear the exhaust ticking. I've seen guys sand the manifolds down flat since they warp. Theory is since they've already warped u should be good after sanding them flat
Hard surface needs to be preheat and postheat to avoid cracking.
My cousin owns a ram dealership up here in Ontario. I can probably help you out with the parts .
try preheating ...
build up below hardface ...
19:19 use CABELS to ''hold'' the same thing you din to the roof of the seedhouse... make xables er CABLES X's x3 ((three x's in a row CAPPED there... the AI will snag that as not cool words... but Make X's in the WALLS :) for the ''WALLS'' don't have to build up drywall....
so like X's wit CABLE in the wall to hold up the backin bord?
Your Ram pickup is out of warranty already? Seems you’ve not had it long enough to be out of warranty for the exhaust manifolds at the least.
It's a 2020 over 5 years old
Didn’t realize you’ve had it that long, guess time flies. How many miles do you have on it, had 14 with Hemi & had exhaust studs breaking between 110-125K miles. Have the Eco-Diesel now, hopefully I’ll trade it when warranty expires, I’ve put 17K this year, so it won’t be as long as hoped before warranty expires.
Bonjour, je pense qu'il faut chauffer la piece avec le chalumeau et souder en meme temps
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Decent job of filming welding. Which is hard to do.
Maybe try preheating before you weld.
You just leave the bolt in the bottom of bracket loose
Sounds like manufacturer design flaws and should be FREE.
Well, you tried. You wouldn’t have known if you hadn’t.
How about putting the Farmall in queue for work? Poor thing just sitting around not getting any attention.
Nice lights, but you know idiot drivers wi) still pull out in front of you and swear they didn't see you .We really need a stupidity vaccine.😂
Happy Birthday Anna
Happy Birthday Anna!

If it’s cast Iron I think you put it in an oven and get up to 400 degrees 1st.
Good morning
Happy Birthday Anna!
