Thank you for taking the time to listen to them and making this video, if I could just suggest something: GOT7 has 2 Sub Units, "JJPROJECT" (with Jay B and Jinyoung) and "JUS2" (with Jay B and Yugyeom) and I highly highly recommend listening to the albums "Verse 2" and "Focus": the members were heavily involved in the creative process and the fans praise these albums to this day. You don't have to make a video out of it, it's just that the GOT7 experience is incomplete without these albums, as they show different facets of the members' range and capabilities. I hope in the future you find more joy in their music, whether it be as a group or soloists, they all have something to give 💚

But yeh got7 are incredibly talented they went through a lot during that company whether it was jyp being incredibly harsh on youngjae to stopping promo to not pushing them further when they were at their best. I feel like the members have their own unique colour which makes them so unique a fun and a talented group, each member composes and they have their own style to their separate talents, their one of those rare groups who truly care for their fans and truly love their group, Jaebeom truly worked hard to get those rights. So like after stanning so many groups but I have a very big soft spot for got7 😭
Thanks for going through their discography! Not sure if you have listened to them already but there were a few albums you didn’t talk about also with songs that I really like. But all in all I would say since fly and turbulence many of the side tracks are written and composed by the members. But 7 for 7 is when they started truly having more says to their music, at least from a side track perspective. The later songs/lyrics you liked a lot of them are written/composer by the members and whenever they can, the members that composed the song make sure the rappers can sing in those parts. For their Japanese albums I LOVE love loop but I would say I won’t let you go/ Shinning on you + the unit songs like Hmmm are great too. And yes - GOT7 by GOT7 is after they left JYPE. But overall the song that really can speak about who GOT7 is would be something like Page, Come On, Teenager. Airy, playful, and they are more with R&B, dance, House influenced than the earlier louder musics. They do cringe over the lyrics a lot, they actually changed the choreography for Girls Girls Girls in 2018-2019 😂 First members are getting older and injured over those moves but also the choreography was pretty childish so they had to change some parts. Me personally love their later sounds while I still enjoy their fun earlier music as well. But Drive me to the moon, Run Away, Come On are the types of songs I really love about GOT7. For their new album coming in 2 days, for fans like us who followed their songs in their side tracks + solo projects after leaving JYP, we can close our eyes and see who composed the new album songs 😂 they are so distinctly the members’ colors and we are almost like listening to got6 (the other members) singing to a member’s solo song. (Youngjae and Jayb’s more like they wrote for got7 but still very strong personal color) such as Smooth is so much like Jackson’s magic man music. So curious to how Got6 will sound in that. GOT7 likes to refer themselves to rainbow, because they are like 7 colors each has very unique and distinct music tastes and styles but when they come together it becomes a rainbow. I am so excited for the new album!
Oh and one more thing about the GOT7 album, they said it’s their first EP after leaving so they didn’t want to completely change their sound they want to first tell people GOT7 is owned by GOT7 now lol

I love it in concert cause it's fun, but other than that, Ahgases are pretty sick of it !! They have other and better song (and not a fan of EDM either). From 7for7 onward they have a heavy hand in the writing and composing of the songs. JayB writes under Def, and Youngjae under ARS. The other use their names. I like that all their album give different clear vibe and yet, it's still GOT7 ! I loooove their vocals and it's often difficult for me to say which i prefer because they all have their distinct tone. All their solo are very different in style and all very good ! But yeah, JayB has a very unique voice and hearing it live is truly insane ! I agree that a lot of GOT7 song bring out nostalgia for some reason (even though i got into them over 2years ago). And their earlier album sound very of their time in a good way which is nice. A lot of early stuff they cring at but tey also recognize that it's a part of their history and how they built their identity as a group so.... Jackson likes to say that people getting into them during Stop Stop it era are the real ones and really love them (because the looks were not it even for that period) 🤣😂

Hi! Aghase here since 2015, GOT7 is my ult group!! I agree with so much of what you said.. I also loved Fly but not so much Hard Carry (personal preference) but I loved the rest of the album! Got7 slowly was able to be more involved in making their music as time went on, and in the last few years, MOST of their songs are produced/lyrics/arranged by them. That's why it's more cohesive (like what you said about Spinning top: Between Security & Insecurity album), members are singing more (they distribute lines to each other where their voices fit the most, not just by their "roles"), the lyrics are more mature and more meaningful imo. On another note, you said you like some loud music or something, it popped into my head that you might like SB19, they're not Kpop, they are a PPop group (Filipino pop). But they make their own music, choreography and even visual creatives, etc. They have that kind of intense music but also some ballads if you're interested haha. Their lyrics are very meaningful and about their journey as the first PPop group (back then they received a LOT of hate, media calling them wannabes, copycats, and other terrible things). Also songs about the haters (haha), being authentic, being proud of yourself, about family, etc.. I know PPop is totally different from Kpop, the culture is different, there are no rules in ppop (unlike all the restrictions in Kpop that you've spoken about before), it's new and totally open for the artists to make it to whatever they want. so it's quite an exciting time for ppop community.. anyway, I just thought you might like it.. give it a listen, I hope you also enjoy it :) for some "loud music", I recommend "Crimzone" (about their dedication to succeed, shedding blood, sweat, and tears), "What?" (you mentioned you like experimental sounds hehe lyrics are about being proud of one's self), "Gento" (their most recent viral song! a play on the word 'ginto' meaning gold and also means "like this".. chorus line translates to "you won't easily find gold/something like this") . They performed in AAA 2023 and are so good LIVE! Sorry for that long comment. Growing up the kids is so real. They also have the opposite problem in Kpop where they infantilize the adults. Some songs have people in their mid-late 20s acting like teenagers.
What drew me to this group was in the 7for7 era how they started with doing their own music, I honestly prefer their own music than what jyp did so i was happy with the time passing by and bit by bit they getting the control, also good for them to quit and do their own music 🎉

Growing up the kids is so real. They also have the opposite problem in Kpop where they infantilize the adults. Some songs have people in their mid-late 20s acting like teenagers.
What drew me to this group was in the 7for7 era how they started with doing their own music, I honestly prefer their own music than what jyp did so i was happy with the time passing by and bit by bit they getting the control, also good for them to quit and do their own music 🎉
