I feel sorry for those who have missed Messi and not watched him play. I have been watching him since his debut for Barcelona. Here is why: I will take Ronaldo for example because he is the closest one to Messi and second best player of all time... Messi on individual level has 894 matches, 719 goals, 335 assists, 6 golden balls(most in history) and 6 golden shoes(most in history) so he has like 1054 goal contributions (= goals + assists) in 894 matches(first player ever to reach over 1000 goal contributions). Ronaldo in the other hand has 1037 matches, 759 goals, 254 assists, 5 golden balls and 4 golden shoes. If you want to judge them properly you have to go by the ratio because Messi has much less matches than Ronaldo. Both of them are in Top 10 players with most goals in history BUT Ronaldo has most matches than any other player in Top 20 players with most goals(pretty bad).
