@@jayjaytv_4226we've seen more than enough upsets in recent times not to count anyone out but man Khalil hasn't proved anything to be given such an opportunity.
Bisping has started doing that 'American TV Expert' thing where the conversation gets thrown to him, and he sort puts on an excited voice and talks a bit too quickly for 20 seconds, ending it with "and I cant wait!" I'm sure that's exactly what ESPN wants. It's a bit cheesy for British people, though. We're not really into that. Slow it down by 10% and let the conversation be a bit more natural. Thanks very much.
We all know what this fight is, an appreciation "fight" for Alex from the UFC, but ever since it was made, the UFC & some media (as Bisping is doing) have been overhyping Khalil bc everybody likes Alex & nobody wants to point out the avoidance or protection from the real #1 contender.
Unfair to say ankalaev puts a glass eye to sleep in his recent performances when his last performance was a quick KO win and the time before was stopped due to a dodgy doctor
@@Darkstarsovereign Same Jan that arguably beat your Poatard. Ank nearly ended him in the last round and should have go the win. He knocked out Johnny Walker who knocked out Khalil but Rountree is getting the title shot over him cause the UFC want to protect their golden goose. But your boy can't run forever. Eventually he'll have to face Ankalaev and we'll see how it ends for him.
They're coping bc everybody likes Alex so nobody wants to say it's avoidance or protection. Ankalaev has been #1 contender since Poatan won the belt, yet Poatan is now on his 3rd title defense against the #8 ranked striker & he still hasn't fought Ankalaev, we even got the unnecessary rematch with Jiri.
8:40 -Pereira: 8 UFC wins, 1 loss, 1 split decision, 4 UFC wins streak, was fast tracked to UFC title shot. -Makhachev: 15 UFC wins, 1 loss, 0 split decision, 14 UFC wins streak, wasn't fast tracked to UFC title shot. Its not even close Makhachev is P4P no.1.
Mack has only fought in one weight class, defended twice to a fighter in weight division below. Pereira never in a boring fight, fights at quick turn around. Mack is brilliant but don't make it so obvious a decision there is an argument for both.
@@velosoul7395 That fighter from a division below was also the former P4P #1 by the way. Volk, Charles and Dustin are way better wins than Jiri, Hill and a split decision over Jan. Also got knocked out by Izzy before that. Islam is clearly the P4P #1 right now. Pereira is second.
@velosoul7395 , that one weight class is the most competitive and toughest weight class in MMA. There are around 100 Lightweights in UFC but there are around only 40 lightheavyweights compete in UFC, competition level is not even close. If Pereira was a Lightweight competing in Lightweight division, he wouldn't even be a top 10 fighter, let alone being a champion.
@@areebsiddiqui758 Islam lost to Adriano Martins, not really an Izzy level fighter to lose to and Pereira has a win over the fighter he lost to. Doesn't matter how good a fighter is in a weight class below, it's still a smaller fighter, weight classes for a reason
@@velosoul7395 That was in 2015. He's a completely different fighter now and has been on a win streak since then. If we're using your logic then Pereira lost to some guy called Quemmel Ottoni in 2015. He's not even Adriano Martins level. Pereira was literally a weight bully at 185 fighting guys 30 pounds smaller than him. Islam had maybe 10-15 pounds on Volk.

I remember seeing that ko Buckley did with the jump of one leg spinning bk kick but only till recently i never knew it was him who did it. Pretty cool 5o land that at the start of ur ufc career. Bisping never fail to look an absolute casual when he speak about poatan … he keep underestimate that monster , poatan fought at least 10 striker better than him and striking wise khalil is an amateur compared to Alex pereira… will be another brutal ko . And still
There's no doubt Rountree will be attempting to sling haymakers and crack legs. Alex has to be careful and not underestimate him, especially because Alex holds his hands at about chest height to protect both head and body. That being said, I still believe Alex gets it done, mixes it up well on the feet and gets the KO in the 3rd Round if not sooner. Chama! I want to see Alex become double champion and 3-weight division champion!
Rountree might be the best striker Alex has faced at 205 in the UFC, but Alex spent his career as a kickboxer in Glory. I don’t really see Bispings point here…
A little surprised they keep going back to Utah when there’s so many places starving for a UFC event. Hope the altitude doesn’t take away from the fighters performances. Alex looked like he was feeling it against Jan
After the peak cards of 299 and 300, UFC seems to be struggling to put on good cards and have to rely on Alex to save every alternate card. No one cares about Khalil or Pena-Pennington to be honest.
Jiri Kos Rowntree jr 10 times out of 10. U lads forget what he did to rakic less than 6 months ago? I reckon Evan Jan at 42 y/o would find rowntrees chin.

Its the exact opposite. Do research to see how p4p term created first by the media. It was a marketing tool for the smaller divisions, since Heavyweight boxing was more popular, but there was also a Welterweight like Sugar Ray Robinson who was a very dominant champion from smaller weight classes, they created the p4p term to show how skilled smaller divisions are than heavyweights, who usually rely on power rather than skill.
@@timurjack8773 None of that matters though does it, p4p means nothing because it doesn't matter how skillful the lower weight fighter are they would still get smashed by the heavyweight on pure size.
