Perfect chance for GT to make Gohan seem badass by saving Pan and have a cool fight with Rildo. Instead he gets owned, doesn't turn SSJ or SSJ2 and has to be saved. No idea why GT didn't make Gohan keep his Ultimate Form either.
You're perfectly right. Gohan is normally one of the most powerful character after Goku. And I think it's awful to show Gohan hit by a stupid character who could be killed with one punch of Gohan who become stronger than vegeta after KaïoShin. It's awful and it doesn't have any sens for me.
I actually liked GT, but I do agree that what they did to Gohan is just plain stupid. He was such a badass in Z when he got his Mystic powers but just look at this!
It is called aging. Toriyama confirmed that most of the characters lost centain amount of power through aging besides Goku and Vegeta (pure Blooded Saiyans). Hence why Gohan became this weak.
M3rtyville Plus aging doesn't do THAT much of a change. Don't try to justify the bullshit, which by the way, Toriyama would never acknowledge. Don't try to imply otherwise.
RedHairdo actually, that was the recent statement of Toriyama that all Z fighters lost power because of aging after the buu saga which is 10 years after (to justify that Goku is now stronger than Gohan because the Battle of God Movie contradicts the ending of Z). You don't have to believe anything. You can believe Santa Clause is one of the Z fighters if you want to.
ivixeg I noticed he does the exact same shit here like when he first started fighting Cell: he doesn't fight back. he just ran around and dodged, hoping someone would come save his ass
Son Escorza Thats called getting tired. And Gohan WRECKED all his henchmen that were after him. Frieza had to take him out himself, with a bitch cheapshot at that lmao
Whether GT is canon or not, its absolutely astounding how Akira Toriyama took elements from the series note for note. 1. Gohan being a nerdy wimp 2. All Z fighters except Vegeta being useless 3. Goku having most of the spotlight with Vegeta having a moment as well to a degree 4. Goku and Vegeta being the only two capable of defeating the enemies like in the Shadow Dragons Arc. Truth be told people!
+Kirby5413 SSJG ritual is very similar to a scene where Trunks, Pan, Goten and Gohan were standing in a circle around Goku and gave him their energy. He also had red aura.
Wait,is akira trying to build up super to gt? Ok wtf is up with that? he may had something to do with gt but as he knows,it isn't canon so why would he try to steal and change the plot even after he said earlier that he was gonna go "original"? smh
DBS: He agrees to participate in the Zeno Expo. He fights Lavender to a draw (let's be honest, he won that fight...unofficially). He was blinded by Lavender's poison, which gave us our first taste of Gohan actually using that scholar brain of his to overcome it. In the recruitment phase of the arc, he suggests Master Roshi. Would Goku have thought of Roshi? Maybe. Anyways, Roshi, as we know, had a widely successful performance. Maybe even overachieved. He sparred with Krillin in a losing effort. I think this was actually a big moment for Gohan as not only was he proven wrong about whether or not Krillin was a good fit for the team, but it also really showed Gohan the value of martial arts. Technique. Strategy. That strength isn't everything. He peaces out to train with Piccolo. There, he regains his Ultimate form. Despite that, Piccolo was still able exploit Gohan's biggest weaknesses: letting his guard down and letting his emotions get the better of him. It hindered him against Cell and Buu, and Piccolo let him know. Gohan and Piccolo spar with Goku and Tien. There, Gohan and Piccolo use tag team moves. Something that takes strategy and chemistry with your ally. We later see how he approaches tag team fighting with someone he lacks chemistry/experience with (17). Gohan spars with Goku. This time, Gohan's in Ultimate form and Goku goes as far as SSBKK. A huge step up from their SSJ spar not long ago. Gohan fell short of Goku's SSBKK. We are 14 episodes into this arc. Gohan is named leader of U7. It meant nothing, but I'm sure it made Gohan's day. For the next few episodes, Gohan stands in front of a whiteboard and makes a speech about setting differences aside. Tournament begins. It does take seven episodes for Gohan to notch his first elimination: Botamo. Gohan uses a, some would say odd or questionable, strategy to eliminate Botamo. But it worked, and that's what matters. Gohan then takes on Obni. Gohan learns a way around his Spectrum Attack before eliminating him....and Universe 10. Let me emphasize that a bit: Gohan, knowing full well eliminating Obni means the erasure of an entire universe of people and creatures, actually goes through with the elimination. Obni and Botamo are Gohan's only solo eliminations. Gohan sees Obni's locket, and realizes he has a wife and lego child just like he does. Ruh roh. Now Gohan knows the full weight of this tournament. Gohan struggles against Jimizu, a master of IT. Frieza shows him how it's done. Hopefully Gohan is a visual learner. Gohan quickly realizes Frieza's gameplan against Frost and plays along. Thus leading to Frost's elimination. Gohan and Piccolo fight the U6 Namekians. Gohan realizes that, by absorbing a metric shitload of their race, they're very durable. So he suggests the Nail Gun Special Beam Cannon. Gohan saves Piccolo in a manner similar to the times Piccolo saved him before. What a big leap from RoF. Shows a lot of progress. Gohan then gives Piccolo another chance and decided to fight them both at once. Gohan (and Piccolo) eliminate the U6 Namekians and U6 as a whole. So it's clear now that Gohan understands that he needs to do this. No way around it. Cast whatever emotions that may hinder him aside and fight. So that's two Universes that have fallen in part thanks to Gohan. Gohan is nearly eliminated, but is saved by Piccolo. Gohan, thanks to Master Roshi, figured out a way to reveal the invisible foe terrorizing them. Gohan decides to take on three U3 robots at once, and was pretty successful until they merged. Gohan very nearly eliminates U3 with a Kamehameha (while Goku and Vegeta were more or less distracting Koichiarator). Gohan participates in the elimination of Anilaza and, in turn, U3. That's three Universes, Gohan. Are you okay?!? Gohan and 17 fight Top. As I mentioned, teamwork isn't easy when you haven't worked together with your ally. Gohan comes to the aid of Frieza. When Frieza poses the thought of betraying, Gohan confidently says he'll take out Frieza if he tries anything. Gohan comes up with the idea of limiting Dyspo's space. Gohan outsmarts Dyspo, leading to both of their eliminations. Gohan lasted 42/48 minutes and was more/less consistently relevant for the first 48 episodes of the arc. 2 solo eliminations, 7 team eliminations. Top five at the time of elimination. Finished in the final eight of 80. All of the above bullet points occurred in a just a few short days.
GT gohan was stated in GT perfect files to have never stopped training let alone the fact u are underestimating GT villains by a lot...plus this gohan was holding back knowing he could have used ssj
@@-toxicus-8582 I rember that the writers thought GT gohan could stack super saiyan over Mystic or along those lines, but then again GT gohan should be stronger than super
@@treemane0 Yes there is a confusing statement in the daizenshuu that states "Mystic Gohan could get even stronger if he uses Ssj but even without Ssj he is superior to Ssj3 Gotenks" The problem is that Toriyama and Super Writers treated Mystic Form as a different form from Super saiyan that cant be used together. Regardless Super Gohan is Universal while Gohan if you wank him is galaxy level .
In this scene, Gohan doesn't turn ssj, ssj 2, or use his mystic power. I would like to believe that Gohan simply underestimated his opponent, before getting his arm turned into metal, which allowed General Rilldo to gain the upper hand. This is similar to Piccolo underestimating Debura, ultimately giving the demon king the advantage.
"Oh my god, GT made Gohan terrible1!!1!" Yeah ok, God Saga made him even worst EDIT: THIS COMMENT WAS WRITTEN NEARLY 10 YEARS OLD WHEN SUPER ONLY HAD THE BEERUS AND GOLDEN FREEZA ARCS, STOP BOTHERING ME AND TOUCH GRASS YOU VIRGINS
No, since the God saga is before the last episode of Z, I mean God Saga Gohan is useless. The only thing good he did was helping Goku become a Super Saiyan God.
"Gohan could very well be the strongest in the whole universe!" "Yeah?" "Yeah but fuck it, let's waste him and just keep shoving Goku down everyone's throat." The conversation writers were having while developing DBZ/DBGT.
SSJGSSJ Oozaru Yamcha Actually blame the fans. Back in the Cell saga A.T. wanted to make Gohan the leading character but fans hated the idea, so he was forced to make Goku the pivotal character. And he didn't write GT so that one doesn't count in that sense.
Here's a way they could have done Gohan better and still got the same outcome in this fight. The fight starts out the same with General Rilldo dominating and using his metal breath to turn Gohan's arm into metal. Gohan, realising how much of a threat Rilldo actually is, gets serious and powers up to a SSJ (or SSJ2 if he still can, I don't think it was even confirmed). Gohan delivers a punch to Rilldo stomach catching him off guard. Gohan then starts to dominate the fight by throwing a series of punches. However, due to only have one hand free and having his balance thrown off by the weight of the metal arm, he is unable to land a critical blow. Rilldo takes advantage of this by throwing a stray blast at a building. Gohan rushes over to block it and is caught in the blast. Rilldo then fires his metal breath at Gohan. Gohan turns in the air as he is falling to avoid the breath and it instead hits the building. However, as Gohan lands, he realises the metal breath has travelled down the building that it hit and onto the surface that Gohan has landed on, catching his leg. Rilldo goes to deliver a finishing blow before Uub intervenes.
Comparing your hypothetical scenario to the one we actually got really shows one of GT's biggest problems. It has such barebones "Point A to Point B" plotting when it comes to anyone not named Goku. It's infuriating.
@@fionordequester6748 There was also no manga or source material to draw from when they were writing episodes for GT. I can imagine when you have a write a 20-minute episode each week for over 60 weeks, it's going to lead to a lot of point A to B writing.
Goku says when he meets Rildo in his first form that he's stronger than Buu. So yeah I do actually. Especially considering just like in Resurrection F, Gohan's lost his ability to activate his mystic form. He's just weaker, get over it.
And finish it off with his signature "Vegeta Attack". *makes a kickass entrance by blindsiding the enemy and telling everyone to stay back because he'll take care of it, and then proceeds to get his royally kicked*
This could've been one of the epic fights in the series. He was only about as strong as Buu was. Even if Gohan was out of practice this should've been a good match up. Also, considering this is GT, he hadn't even turned SSJ yet
It wasn't about power level though. Even if Rilldo was physically weaker than Gohan, the fact that he could give him a bum arm shifted the fight in Rilldo's favor dramatically.
@@alishabazz7431 source? Because the DBZ wiki says Meta-Rildo (his strongest form) is barely stronger than Kid Buu. Regular Rildo fought pretty evenly with Kid Goku who was said to be about as strong as Majin Buu was in his base form.
@@TruuJones Idk because DB wiki is not all facts but I can literally give you the source as I will share it with in the fight.. Goku said that Rildo was not only stronger than Buu but stronger than anyone he faced up until that point and said I NEVER SENSED A POWER LIKE THIS BEFORE. That’s literally Gokus words when fighting him. Also Goku in base in GT was far stronger than Buu in Z.
DBGT, where everyone, except Goku, dropped down onto Yamcha's level and his pity club gained new members but wasn't around long since Vegeta blew I up after he was the strongest member in the group.
Shame on you Gohan. Did you learn nothing after the fight with Dabura? It's always the same. You don't train and get your ass kicked by someone you could easy beat with full power
When I FIRST saw this episode a long time ago, and I saw that Gohan came in, then the stare down with him and Rildo with that music playing in the background sent CHILLS down my spine. I was like YES, OMG, FUCK YES. Then Gohan didn't go Super Saiyan and got tossed around a lot so yeah, I was disappointed...
While the series is not close to ending, I feel Gohan's chance of becoming a fighter again are slim here is hoping Goten gets something from the lack of screen time.
M3rtyville The SEQUEL?! Battle of Gods itself was humiliating enough. You have Mystic Gohan KO'd by Beerus with just a kick. But then you have Vegeta who fight Beerus at least twice before he was put down, conceivably in SSJ 2 form, though it appeared to be just SSJ. But regardless if Vegeta could take like 15 hits and Goku could take 25 hits then Gohan should be able to hold his own for at least after 18 hits
WildG_Man At least gohan won against cell, when has vegeta even fully ended any villain? Never. Just because they have numbers for power lvls and shit, doesn't mean you gotta treat it like its set in stone; can't pretend like they didn't play out that Vegeta got the extra bit from Bulma being hit. Do you think they would of all just died right there had Beerus decided to keep goin? Pretty sure if Vegeta can get a second wind seeing his lady popped the rest would of gotten the similiar to. Its a cartoon, one we barely get to see new content of, enjoy it.
***** How can somebody enjoy something that is a disgrace to the series just because there is barely any content? lol I would go as far as saying that Dragon Ball Z today is even below fanfiction level. Look at Episode of Bardock for instants, sending Bardock back in time to become the first Super Saiyan? Give me a break. At least Dragon Ball Multiverse, an online fan manga, has the humor of the classic series, original likeable characters and actually good battles.
sway tyler Dude, this is GT after Dragon ball Z. He already is basically transformed. Remember Buu Saga? He unleashed all of his hidden power and is basically the strength of ssj3 I don't know why he is such a coward in gt. But you can't blame him. He didn't train since Buu saga and he disliked fighting anyway...
At least Super gives him his moment later on, GT never makes anyone except for Goku truly relevant. Vegeta becomes as strong as Goku, but it’s against an opponent that neither one of them can face so it becomes basically worthless.
@@victors151 You're going to say GT has no fan service at all? It tried to be both Dragonball and Dragonball Z at the same time, failing to realize they're very different shows, tonally.
Yeah they finally gave Gohan his moment in Super 3 years after the show started after giving him the most humiliating loss ever(when SSJ Gohan lost to 1st form Frieza). GT ran for about 2 or 3 years. They. And at leas/ GT actually had him training Also ironic asf that you say that because aside from the new Super Hero movie and the manga for TOP, Gohan and everyone else are basically useless. Grabolah and the Moro arc only has Goku and Vegeta. Goku Black and the U6 vs U7 arc include just one other character that hardly does anything(Piccolo and F. Trunks), and yet whenever someone complains about Gohan being shafted, you people say that at least he's following his dreams Hypocrites
I do recall Goku saying Rilldo was about as powerful as Buu and if Gohan here was able to keep up with him somewhat that tells me he was in his mystic form just remember like Super Buu said- Gohan is worthless without his father telling him what to do in fights or present. When Baby took Goten he knew what to do he just didn't know how as he wasn't told how to do it. When Omega Shenron was around he led Goten, Trunks and Majuub in distracting him so Goku could recover enough to move and actually pulled it off to an extent because Goku was present and told him how to do it. Not only that he was also able to follow his movements, something only Goku and later Vegeta could do. I'll admit some more time to develop Gohan more would have been nice but remember DBZ was supposed to be about Gohan taking over for Goku but fans didn't like it back then so this is why Gohan looks like a scrub in GT. He may have been Mystic throughout most of GT honestly we just might not see him jump up to that level on screen(this would also mean that the SSJ we see of Gohan would be his Super Saiyan Mystic form which he can do). At the end he speaks down to them as if he is significantly stronger then all of them(Majuub is the reincarnation of Kid Buu who was a freaking beast but the weakest of the Majin Buu variants)
Tyrineal Yep. Rilldo was SO "powerful" he couldn't stand up from a slap from Pan of all people. Sheesh. I'm still keeping the *BIg three* (Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach) over GT in terms of power due to how weak and feeble the characters were portrayed. Also, it wasn't stated if Gohan was in mystic form or not. For all we know, he lost that power since he transformed into a super saiyan during his fight with Baby Goten
Henrique HCA In Dragon Ball Z, he was waaaaay stronger than almost anyone But here, WTF?!? To me, He's comparable to Freeza in this fight. Toei Animations really screwd Gohan up
It really doesn't make sense. The plot of going from Ultimate Gohan to a scholar doesn't make sense. Gohan is my favourite character, but the potential they took out of him as a Z fighter is just disappointing in every way. In DBZ he is no doubt the strongest non-fused, he was supposed to defeat and kill Majin Buu ffs, he just wasn't prepared for a Super Buu absorbed. Still, you are my favourite Gohan. :)
I guess it could make sense in one way, so that Vegeta could "take" his place. But still, he could still play the badass Gohan role he used to whether Vegeta included or not.
That's true, since all half humans/saiyans tend to be pulled more to the human side for some reason whereas full-blooded saiyans have this "genetic thing" to fight.
Gohan never quit training in gt, General Rildo was tougher than Buu in Z. It does make sense that Majuub would body him after being able to put up a fight against mutated golden great ape baby vegeta. I thought gohan would be stronger than that, but Goku in base and reverted to a kid was able to take both him and his brother goten out pretty easily, while he actually seemed to struggle with General Rildo in their main battle. Gohan probably got a little stronger after all the Baby stuff, so I definitely think the fight shouldn't have seen him on the run as much, especially after having so many years to get over the same tricks Dabura and Buu used. I'd definitely see them more equal with each other given how they both fought against Goku, and Majuub being greatly stronger than both of them still makes sense. Just saiyan.
This weak fuck Gohan is fighting is not stronger than Buu observe him punching Gohan into a building and shooting a blast at it Rildo is weaker than kid Goku from the start of dragon ball going by that
Gohan did stop training in GT, also he would of have to of done to lose ultimate form as well as trail behind Vegeta who was seen as the strongest. In reality Goten and Trunks shouldn't even scratch Gohan even if he didn't train.
My biggest gripe with GT is how they kept punking Gohan. Super has it's flaws but they really did my boy Gohan right and made him relevant again, Super won me over for that.
I really hate the people talking trash and a lots of crapping things about Dragon Ball GT like: "GT is bullshit" "GT is cool!" "No, GT is absolutely bullshit." "No, GT is absolutely cool!" For the love of God, stop this war.
This is true, and there really isn't room to bash on characters becoming weaker in GT. In Z, during the seven years of peace before the Buu saga, Gohan stopped training altogether and focused only on his schoolwork. Thanks to this, Gohan generally grew weaker than he was when he fought Cell at the age of 11. The only reason Vegeta and Goku were stronger in the Buu saga is because they kept up with their training. And if seven years of no training could make Gohan weaker than he was in the past, imagine what nearly 20 years of no training could do. So, of course Gohan, Goten and Trunks are all that weak. They grew up to have ordinary lives and stopped training, as did Vegeta. Goku was the only one who continued his training with Uub, as Pan kept to her training as well, but at a slow pace. No one even addresses this when trying to complain about everyone's lack of power in GT, thinking that all the character should keep training. It goes to show how close-minded many Dragonball fans can be about the characters.
Spihk heart bust!? Can you use Bozeman Hotmail Recipient's Roomies Ghnavel Feces to explain that all Rhode Island Courthouse , and all Rhode Island Courthouse employees & Facility are Racist because they got the Coffee sign up in the Rhode Island Courthouse!?
Yeh, bit embarrassing to have to be saved by two Saiyan teens, born of the two greatest Saiyan warriors in history, alongside the reincarnation of buu, the greatest threat to the universe in DBZ... Embarrassing huh
Fusing with Fat Buu makes him Super Buu reincarnation (He is actually called Super Uub in japanese version), but he was clearly stronger than Kid Buu even before fusing. He was about equal to base adult Goku at the beggining of GT. Then a weaker, base kid Goku kicked base Rildo's ass who was stated to be stronger than Buu. Which Buu? Kid Buu or Buuhan. We might say it was Kid Buu, since it was the most pure one. After fusing Uub was doing better against Super Baby 2 than Goku SSJ3 against regular Baby Vegeta. Super Baby 1 basically is Baby Vegeta + Gohan, Trunks, Goten & Bulla and even then he was stated to be stronger than Vegito. Super Baby 2 is SB1 + energy from all other earthlings (about the same amount was needed to kill Kid Buu in Z). After that, Baby was actually struggling with Majuub. Not to mention Base Goku owning SSJ Gohan and it was stated in Perfect Files that Gohan didn't stop his training so he should be at least as strong as he was in Z :P tl;dr Super Baby 2 > Majuub > Super Baby 1 > DBZ Vegito > SSJ3 GT Goku > Base GT Goku > SSJ GT Gohan
Lyserg1260 I think gotten and trunks are stronger than gohan, especially trunks. He doesn't have a mom like chi chi. He has bulma and she does t care. For gotten.. he's just cool
GT could have been soo much better if they had not focused on Goku the whole time. And what pisses me off the most is how much they made Gohan (my favorite character) look like a whimp. At the end of DBZ he was the strongest Z fighter (Fusions are exempt from my analysis) I was very disappointed. Super Saiyan 4 looked pretty dope, and the Shadow Dragon story line had some merit...but other than those two, I hated the whole series.
Oh god people should stop bashing DBGT. All the new garbage that is out today such as BoG is ten times worse. DBGT is actually good. Sue me for saying it.
***** You are very wrong. Gohan was a nerd and retired from training by the end of Z. Don't blame DBGT. As for disrespecting...Z was filled with incompetent filler.
***** Because a large chunk of the fanbase watches.the anime version of the story and I was telling them that Z has more silly filler logic than DBGT. I personally only disregard filler if it contradicts the main story.
If I could, I would change so many things about DBGT: 1. Bruce Faulconer music 2. More filler & battles, and not everything is fast-paced or half-assed 3. Goten, Trunks, Majuub, and Gohan would actually be useful and drag on fights without looking so weak or having no skill. 4. Everyone would be in battle gis instead of regular clothes. 5. Gohan keeps his Mystic form. 6. DBZ characters would actually appear more often. 7. In the Shadow Dragons Saga, Goten, Trunks, Majuub and Gohan would split up and assist Goku and Pan in defeating the first four dragons. 8. Goku would use SSJ more often unless completely outmatched. He literally abuses his SSJ4 form. 9. SSJ4 Goku had his regular adult voice in DBZ. Doesn't feel the same when it's deep af. 10. Vegeta never had that haircut.
The problem with Gohan is that the writers have no idea to do with him. He’s character always been the gentle giant type so of course he would dislike doing anything fighting related. But the thing is that the whole Dragon Ball series is a battle anime so having a pacifist character in a franchise that is all about fighting is kinda difficult. Especially when that same character was a important and powerful character before and is now getting basically treated like a amateur and sent to the background.
I see a lot of bitching in this comment section about how Gohan is weak and how GT treated his character like shit. But what everyone here fails to realize is Goku himself actually lost to Rildo, a character in his base form that Goku said was more powerful than majin buu (Goku has seen the most powerful form of majin buu so it's safe to say he was refering to all buu forms). A character in which Goku's GT base was strong than. And Rildo only died after a combined attack from him, Trunks and Pan. (albeit Rildo was not in a position to defend himself). Lastly Gohan, in his base form here was actually fighting quite evenly with Rildo until his arm was turned into metal. Take a moment and think about that. Gohan here is actually quite strong. It's just that Rildo is stronger. If ssj Goku could not beat him then how do you expect Gohan in base to do it?
Acutally it makes sense that Gohan got much weaker. He disliked fighting to begin with. The only reason he trained was because he got dragged into all these battles by Piccolo and Goku.
Couple things to note: Gohan comes out basically unharmed Gohan didn't know anything about General Rildo and was feeling him out. A Dabura esc attack is very rare. GTs Super 17 saga was very rushed. It was probably easier the way they did it as opposed to an extra episode where Gohan feels him out and then blows him away. I agree it's disappointing but do understand the situation.
I believe Gohan could actually beat him if he wasn't surprised and didn't get his arm frozen. You can see that he is totally fine after so many punches. I am not even sure if Rildo would actually kill Gohan with that blast if Majuub didn't kill him.
Buf if Goku said that Rild was stronger than Buu, Gohan would know that too, and never could fight with him without the "Mystic power" or without go to ssj, at least. I don't know, GT is embarrassing...
Well he probably knew that, but he is just stronger than he was in Z so beating Rildo was something that he should be capable of. He didn't know his abilities so he got caught by a surprise attack. Otherwise he would win i believe. But i guess it'd look better if he actually turned into SSJ.
Yes, he struggled against Kid Boo but earlier in the manga he flat-out said "I can't fight this guy" (Evil Boo), in so many words. He never indicated such a thing about Kid Boo and never really showed much hesitation about fighting him. That strongly indicates Goku and Vegeta viewed Evil Boo as more powerful since they didn't even try taking him on if avoidable while they were both willing to go toe-to-toe against Kid Boo.
What's the difference between an emmental cheese and Dragon Ball GT plot line? The emmental cheese has less holes and they are less visible at first sight ;)
You know the between Gohan in Super and GT? Gohan in Super had a reason for his Mystic form being lost. GT Gohan in the other hand still had his mystic form and still got handed. So if anyone says "GT Gohan is better than Super" then you need to rewatch GT.
GT Gohan never stopped training. His base is his mystic form technically. GT characters are just that much more powerful than Z characters, and even Super characters
+Jo-Smooth He did stop training. Infact is stated when he is first seen as a professor. Goten was mainly into dating his gf and trunks was with Goku. I think the only one that trained would have been Vegeta.
Gohan was never interested in fighting...he was interested in helping his dad and Piccolo. If you want to blame someome blame Goku for not having him tell his son to focus on training during his 7 years away and for Chi Chi making him a super nerd.
Gohan always was interested in protecting good and his loved ones. To the point he surpassed even Goku and Vegeta, TWICE. (Cell Saga & Buu Saga) There is no excuse for him not turning into Ultimate Gohan there, and finishing this in the blink of an eye or less. GT is simply shit, that's all. There is nothing more to it.
Chi Chi didn't make him do anything Gohan made it clear from the beginning (since he first appeared on the manga cover) that he wants to be a scholar It was no one's fault for him not training than his own
blame Goku?? Everything about their life is fighting so I don't think that's something Goku would have to tell him. I can understand blaming Chi Chi because for some reason they all was afraid of her so he probably dove into the books hard and cut back on training. End of the day, Gohan never had the passion for fighting like Goku and Vegeta so in their longest time of peace it's only fitting to his character that he would fall off and attempt to live a normal life. I'm sure he trained but that's was probably just to "stay in shape" whereas when Goku and Vegeta train it's always to get better. So his training was probably nowhere near as hard. Peace makes you fall off. That's just how it goes. Unless fighting is all you care about (Vegeta & Goku)
All I can say is since you can't sense a robots power level gohan was testing his opponent and his limits and when his arm got frozen he waited more to see if the guy was going to charge with more power but he kept using his secret technique move until the end where gohan was trapped ,gohan wanted to see how much the guy could fight and this was his main strategy so I think gohan was going to transform in the end to take the guy down in one shot after the blast but the others showed up either way it was pretty cool to see a untrained gohan take on a powerful person without going ssj
Hate what they did to gohan. First he was the strongest and beat cell. Then he spends all that time getting his hidden powers and gets creamed by buu. Now this. Sad 😢😢😢
well gohn has a geeky new hair and green jumpsuit with glasses i dont know if thats an improvement tho he does look badass in Ssj in the new trailer which i still dont understand why hes a super saiyan
Worse in super? have you watch the recent gohan episodes? Goku even got pushed back by gohan. even if goku is not trying atleast gohan put a good fight
@@transcendentmuzic1398 only when baby possessed him which was so stupid. 😑 I hated the baby arc so bad I barely watch any episode except the moments goku transformed to ss4 and the golden oozaru
I've always been a HUGE Gohan fan from the very beginning. And I have to say I Love Gohan in GT. He just seems so much more mature and grown up and a little cocky. Just really wish they didn't make him so weak. Any one want to elaborate?
Perfect chance for GT to make Gohan seem badass by saving Pan and have a cool fight with Rildo. Instead he gets owned, doesn't turn SSJ or SSJ2 and has to be saved. No idea why GT didn't make Gohan keep his Ultimate Form either.
I agree, but fuck off with the American dubbing nonsense.
And then Uub kills him with a blast like he was nothing.
You're perfectly right. Gohan is normally one of the most powerful character after Goku. And I think it's awful to show Gohan hit by a stupid character who could be killed with one punch of Gohan who become stronger than vegeta after KaïoShin. It's awful and it doesn't have any sens for me.
Gohan can beat him. Gt fucked up.
I do wish that he'd have just insant killed him like Gohan did to freiza in that one movie.

But gt is not canon or made by Akira toriyama so it is not real. So gohan is till badass
I loved GT. Only thing I didn't like was that Pan was included. I would have loved to have seen Goku as a kid again and Trunks and Goten all together.

Whether GT is canon or not, its absolutely astounding how Akira Toriyama took elements from the series note for note.
1. Gohan being a nerdy wimp
2. All Z fighters except Vegeta being useless
3. Goku having most of the spotlight with Vegeta having a moment as well to a degree
***** Correct!
Wait,is akira trying to build up super to gt? Ok wtf is up with that? he may had something to do with gt but as he knows,it isn't canon so why would he try to steal and change the plot even after he said earlier that he was gonna go "original"? smh
jbac xtrme IKR? He's probably run out of ideas for the most part. That's the only explanation I can think of.

While GT Gohan can't even go mystic
GT gohan was stated in GT perfect files to have never stopped training let alone the fact u are underestimating GT villains by a lot...plus this gohan was holding back knowing he could have used ssj
@@-toxicus-8582 I rember that the writers thought GT gohan could stack super saiyan over Mystic or along those lines, but then again GT gohan should be stronger than super
@@-toxicus-8582 Statements means nothing if you still havent won a single battle in GT. Gohan lost all battles
@@treemane0 Yes there is a confusing statement in the daizenshuu that states "Mystic Gohan could get even stronger if he uses Ssj but even without Ssj he is superior to Ssj3 Gotenks"
The problem is that Toriyama and Super Writers treated Mystic Form as a different form from Super saiyan that cant be used together.

The conversation writers were having while developing DBZ/DBGT.
SSJGSSJ Oozaru Yamcha well is GOKU story
SSJGSSJ Oozaru Yamcha Actually blame the fans. Back in the Cell saga A.T. wanted to make Gohan the leading character but fans hated the idea, so he was forced to make Goku the pivotal character. And he didn't write GT so that one doesn't count in that sense.
+masterodst1 Hells yeah
+masterodst1
That's misinformation. The fans actually wanted Gohan, but Toriyama decided that he wasn't fit for the job.
HyperMonkeyBird Source, because most I find say otherwise.

General rildo is Much stronger than Buu according to Goku.

This is why I hate GT. Gohan is *WAY* stronger that what they portray him. The GT creators fucking ruined the best character of dbz.
I doubt you will like the sequel of Battle of Gods either then :/
M3rtyville The SEQUEL?!

EikoWinters They're Goku dickriders. They nerfed literally everyone besides Goku who received a major hax.

I would go as far as saying that Dragon Ball Z today is even below fanfiction level.
Look at Episode of Bardock for instants, sending Bardock back in time to become the first Super Saiyan? Give me a break.
At least Dragon Ball Multiverse, an online fan manga, has the humor of the classic series, original likeable characters and actually good battles.
Gohan had the movie Vegeta presence here: cool intro to step into the fight to then get humiliated badly.
Vegeta: “Gohan, you chicken weakling.”
Raditz: “Hold my coffee.”
He's supposed to be stronger than SSJ3....sigh I guess thats GT for you.
sway tyler Dude, this is GT after Dragon ball Z.
GT is more realistic. Super is just cheap fan service with crappy writing for gaming junkies.
@@victors151
You're going to say GT has no fan service at all? It tried to be both Dragonball and Dragonball Z at the same time, failing to realize they're very different shows, tonally.
Yeah they finally gave Gohan his moment in Super 3 years after the show started after giving him the most humiliating loss ever(when SSJ Gohan lost to 1st form Frieza). GT ran for about 2 or 3 years. They. And at leas/ GT actually had him training
Also ironic asf that you say that because aside from the new Super Hero movie and the manga for TOP, Gohan and everyone else are basically useless. Grabolah and the Moro arc only has Goku and Vegeta. Goku Black and the U6 vs U7 arc include just one other character that hardly does anything(Piccolo and F. For fuck sake Gohan,WERE IS THE MYSTIC POWERS?WHY DINT YOU TURN SSJ THEN?
Exactly!!! What the Fuck Gohan?! You were about* as strong as Super Saiyan 3 Goku, sorta
Why are you weaker than Freeza? Fucking Dragon Ball Goku Time
HellMaster Kenny And in that movie of Gogeta,Gohan kills Freeza with 1 FUCKING PUNCH,and he was not SSJ or even Mystic.
Henrique HCA In Dragon Ball Z, he was waaaaay stronger than almost anyone
But here, WTF?!?
Gohan doesn't care about fighting like his father does that's why
That's true, since all half humans/saiyans tend to be pulled more to the human side for some reason whereas full-blooded saiyans have this "genetic thing" to fight.
Kaue Leite Thanks
Dammit Chi Chi. Couldn't you have let gohan train at least a little each week? That way he's not so much a wimp.
Exepet he did
Gohan never quit training in gt, General Rildo was tougher than Buu in Z.
This weak fuck Gohan is fighting is not stronger than Buu
observe him punching Gohan into a building and shooting a blast at it Rildo is weaker than kid Goku from the start of dragon ball going by that
Gohan did stop training in GT, also he would of have to of done to lose ultimate form as well as trail behind Vegeta who was seen as the strongest. In reality Goten and Trunks shouldn't even scratch Gohan even if he didn't train.

"GT is bullshit"
"GT is cool!"
"No, GT is absolutely bullshit."
"No, GT is absolutely cool!"
For the love of God, stop this war.
CtDAN1 My problem is with the storyline itself as well. Had they not made 20 years pass, we wouldn't have to take all of this into consideration.
CtDAN1 The only reason that Chichi won't allow Gohan to train as a Kid/Teen. Chichi wants Gohan to study.

+Nick Fletcher Stronger than Goten and Trunks? Yes. Stronger than Majuub? Lol nope.
Not to mention Base Goku owning SSJ Gohan and it was stated in Perfect Files that Gohan didn't stop his training so he should be at least as strong as he was in Z :P
tl;dr
Super Baby 2 > Majuub > Super Baby 1 > DBZ Vegito > SSJ3 GT Goku > Base GT Goku > SSJ GT Gohan

10. Vegeta never had that haircut.
agree
No such thing as mystic form
Ryan Nguyen there is
Ryan, you clearly never seen the DBZ buu arc.
PkgamesXD Actually I have. The Old Kai just released all of Gohan's hidden power. No "transformation"
GT stands for goku time
FAX
Excuses gt is trash.
I love how the music ties in with him unbuttoning his jacket like damn
“Take him out Gohan... DUN DUN DUN”
No Super Saiyan. No Ultimate Form. Just Laziness. Gotta love GT. 😎
you know DBS Gohan is _absolutely terrible_ when GT Gohan is still much stronger than him.
@Morg Hyurex not to mention Gohan can handle himself against SSB Goku and is comparable to kefls
Why do you put DBS into this! This is only about GT, DBS has nothing to do with this!
Morg Hyurex I agree!😁👍
That’s a good joke 🤣
Gohan beat a fusion in the top
Shut up gt fanboy💀
that last line at the end had me dying. lmao
Acutally it makes sense that Gohan got much weaker. He disliked fighting to begin with. The only reason he trained was because he got dragged into all these battles by Piccolo and Goku.
Couple things to note:
Gohan comes out basically unharmed
Gohan didn't know anything about General Rildo and was feeling him out. A Dabura esc attack is very rare.
GTs Super 17 saga was very rushed. It was probably easier the way they did it as opposed to an extra episode where Gohan feels him out and then blows him away. I agree it's disappointing but do understand the situation.
Here's how to sum up the Dragon Ball series sense after the Cell saga. If your name isn't Goku or Vegeta your basically useless.
Not in super
@@SonGoku-777 right if your name isn't Goku then you can't do anything
Not true at all, Gohan seemed like the most relevant Buu series character other than Goten and Trunks, not sure which rejects agreed with you
Ah so ultimate gohan and gotenks and buu didn't existe ?
@@crazyredhead4968 Trunks beat merged zamasu
Gohan just got his own movie
Why didn't Gohan transform here and transform when gave his energy to Goku?
maybe he didn't have enough strength to transform I'm not sure
He probably didn't think that he would need to transform. It is likely that he would eventually transform if the battle went on.
No, Gohan, what's embarrassing is that this fight is only a minute and a half long.
Bruh, like almost all scenes in GT, this scene, of course, pissed me off
Imagine Gohan got Beast form here😂
RULES
GOKU IS THE MAIN CHARACTER
VEGETA CANT BEAT A MAIN VILLAIN
GOHAN CANT BEAT ANYONE NOT NAMED CELL
This is why I rule out GT. It doesn't exist. Nope.
Thanks, but there weren't any grammatical errors. :)
***** Doesn't *
You don’t have to like it. But it will always exist.
Literally makes no sense that Gohan doesnt turn into a super Saiyan here 😂
I like GT but i HATE the fact that they made gohan from a badass fighter to this nerd -.-
Ever heard of ssj?
Ráguila in gt he still has the mystic power up
Anthony Rodriguez That doesn't look like mystic to me. And if he was he would have taken hem down with ease
Ráguila mystic Gohan looks identical to base form Gohan
And general rhildo is much stronger then buu
Anthony Rodriguez He still went Super Saiyan when Baby had him fight Vegeta and during the fight with Omega Sheron so being Mystic means nothing
Ever heard of mystic
“Oh it was embarrassing to save you as well”
Gohan should be wearing his Purple Gi without Glasses
OMG... Gohan this is really REALLY embarrassing. Uub comes... one blast... and gone.. WHAHAHA. Epic Fail.
Even Gohan himself said it was embarrassing LOL.
Alphons Potters to be fair, it was Majuub
To be fair, Rildo had his guard dropped. Gohan also did not know about Rildo's abilities.
Rildo had his guard down. Also, Majuub is stronger than Buu Saga Vegito so...
+Lyserg1260 perhaps base Vegito.... but not SSJ Vegito
When his arm got frozen, he should've transformed.
What's the difference between an emmental cheese and Dragon Ball GT plot line? The emmental cheese has less holes and they are less visible at first sight ;)
:D
I don't see any holes, can you tell me some of them, please?
yeah the one up your ass
***** he has
***** gt is the one that has wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more plot holes.
You know the between Gohan in Super and GT? Gohan in Super had a reason for his Mystic form being lost. GT Gohan in the other hand still had his mystic form and still got handed. So if anyone says "GT Gohan is better than Super" then you need to rewatch GT.
In GT Gohan isn't mystic as he turns ssj.
+Philip Xander that's the GT Perfect Files guide
+Jo-Smooth Never read that guide, but since he transforms super saiyan, this means that guide has plot holes.
(Cell Saga & Buu Saga)
There is no excuse for him not turning into Ultimate Gohan there, and finishing this in the blink of an eye or less.
GT is simply shit, that's all. There is nothing more to it.
Chi Chi didn't make him do anything
Gohan made it clear from the beginning (since he first appeared on the manga cover) that he wants to be a scholar
It was no one's fault for him not training than his own
Its established that Gohan had retired from fighting by the end of Z. Don't see why DBGT os to blame here when TOEI just continued off of that fact.
blame Goku??
Gohan started as a wimp to a badass to a wimp to a badass again, then finally a wimp.
Chichi, stop fucking Gohan over.
Say what you want to about Super, but Gohan had more dignity in that show hell the ToP alone than what GT did to him.
In the manga he tied with KEFLA!

Hate what they did to gohan. First he was the strongest and beat cell. Then he spends all that time getting his hidden powers and gets creamed by buu. Now this. Sad 😢😢😢

It's like that one guy in DBZ abridged said, "GOHAN'S THE STRONGEST IN THE UNIVERSE, BUT STILL DOESN'T DO CR*P!"
"I'm fine." Personally, I'd check Gohan for concussion because of those crossed eyes.
Yes! Gohan's going to fight, this is going to be so awesome!

Gohan vs General Dildo?

I've always been a HUGE Gohan fan from the very beginning. And I have to say I Love Gohan in GT. He just seems so much more mature and grown up and a little cocky. Just really wish they didn't make him so weak.
