Tears when Patrick emotionally talking about Merlin Olson being for him when his Father was dying..a Father figure to Patrick. What a wonderful man Merlin was. ❤

Loved Merlin Olson. And loved hearing that his private persona matched the public one as well.

Thank you! Patrick is awesome. My favorites from him are Andy Garvey on Little House on the Prairie and the film Summer School. Harriett's Happenings, the barn burning, Nellie's tutoring, his parents almost divorcing, he and Jonathan moving to Sleepy Eye (A New Beginning) are all personal favorites. He seems like a very cool person. He and Matthew are the best.

I just wish to personally thank Mr. Patrick Labyorteaux and his wife Tina for their excellent work as series creators and producers of the Nick at Nite family sitcom SEE DAD RUN because they accomplished
    2 very important things.
    1. They brought back SCOTT BAIO to series television to the immense delight of millions of TV fans.
    2. They provided a crucial stepping stone for neophyte comedian RAMY YOUSSEF who would move on to become the award winning star of his own critically acclaimed comedy series.

    • @kobrakitsch877
      @kobrakitsch877 2 года назад +1

SEE DAD RUN should have garnered
      at least 2 EMMY nominations.
Best Lead Actor In A Comedy Series
      for SCOTT BAIO.
Best Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series for RAMY YOUSSEF.

My absolute favorite LHOTP episode with Patrick is when Nellie teaches Andy how to cheat on tests in school..I think the episode was called "The Cheaters." Great interview! Thank u!

Great interview as always, guys. I really enjoyed this and Matthew’s interview last year. Future suggestion: Molly Ringwald. She would be great and she’s an author like both of you and a fellow child actor who transitioned into adulthood with great success.

I hope Matthew Labyorteaux comes back. I don’t think he realises the huge following he has in Yu-Gi-Oh! He doesn’t attend conventions or interviews about it unlike the other voice actors. I hope he knows he’s loved and appreciate for his role as Jaden Yuki! A Yu-Gi-Oh character that is still receiving promotion and new ‘HERO’ cards in the irl trading card game almost annually.

I respectfully disagree about LHOTP as compared to “Mork & Mindy.’
I’d much rather watch a Robin Williams’ comedy routine than an episode of LHOTP.

@@PopCultureRetro after i started watching the show in childhood, i was given one of the books.
I was interested enough that i kept reading the series.
I became VERY confused, because the series wasn’t ‘matching’ what i was reading.
I didn’t know until many years later, Michael took *much* creative license with the show, and that the books themselves were not completely accurate.
      Disappointing.
