@@dpcandra Thank you for putting those together in a way that hits me just right to piss me off at D and D (again).
S8 Bran is something of a mass murderer. If you take S8 seriously (I don't) there is evidence he planned this so Dany, Jon, and Cersei would knock each other out of the way. So he got the throne at the minor cost of getting thousands of innocents killed.
D and D may have been too dumb to realize this but a lot of the time Bran chooses to say something when Daenerys is around (or not say something he should) it hurts Dany in some way.
Bran picks when to tell Jon his linage. He doesn't wait till after Cersei is dethroned and Dany is done mourning for Jorah he makes sure the relationship she has with Jon is complicated just when Jon could be an alternative shoulder for her to lean on when she needs it.
And Bran knows sharing info at the wrong time can get people killed. That is why he pointedly doesn't mention Jamie pushed him out the window years ago. Now that could be Bran being nice but if he can see the future possibilities (and chances are he can) he also knows there is a chance Jamie being around in the future can put more stress on the trust Dany has with her hand Tyrion thus putting Dany is a more isolated position.
Bran pointedly does not warn Dany about Euron's ambush even though he can see things going on all over the world in the present tense-it took time to equip Euron's ships with scorpions so Bran should know. And it isn't like he doesn't know how to warn people either since he made sure everyone knew about the undead dragon.
Its like Bran wanted Dany to loose it and picked moments when he may have a window of opportunity to add stress to Dany's life to act (instead of acting to prevent it and sparing her and thousands of innocent people).
And if Bran can see the future or at least possible futures then he knows the only way for him to be king is for many people to die. So he pushes for that future. That kinda makes him a mass murderer, a manipulative one as he has to trick others into both doing it directly and taking blame openly, but a mass murderer through his plotting.
Now maybe Bran just didn't care and let all the deaths happen (also making him a terrible candidate to be king) but since he took an active role that may not be the case.
@@pplr1 Awesome analysis of Bran being more calculating than we thought. He could very well have told Jon about his lineage AFTER the battle for King's Landing, etc.....but the writers wanted to hurt, and undermine, and betray, and isolate Dany, and give her so many losses, that they figured she would just decide to KILL almost a million innocents, OUT OF THE BLUE!!

One of them was always going to die in the end...tragic. There was no way in hell the characters that represented Ice and Fire in the story would both survive. At least they're where they belong. Drogon probably took her body back to Valyria, she had no place in King's Landing. Jon's back in the real North where he met his first love and he's with the people who he saved and respected and fought for him in return, the wildlings. Ghost for company as well, Jon will find comfort.

Still not over it... my god. Dany really represents the ones with good intentions but after many heavy setbacks and hardships, she let the darkness take over her and she lost everything. But so did Jon. Never allowed to be with the woman he loved.

For 3 main reasons ; they have no idea they are related, they looks like to really be in love and we are in medevial time, not on 21st century ! Incest had a different degree than now...
And you can't deny this moment was not beautiful.
Plus, the name of the books are "A Song of Ice and Fire" they are Ice(Jon) and Fire(Dany), they are MEANT to be together!

The way Jon and Dany are looking each other when he opened the door in the boat.... A scene that i've never forgotten.
A pure masterpiece, one of the best GOT music ever made.
Jexone also, the look she shot him when he volunteered to lead the expedition north of the wall. You could see the desperation & heartache in her eyes, you can even see her shorten and hold her breath before she attempts to get him to stay by saying, “I haven’t given you permission to leave...”.
I’ve watched quite a few series if I do say so myself, and I can say one thing for sure when it comes to love and couples, this show NAILED it. Idk if that’s just how great the actors are or what, but you can see in the show how practically as soon as they clap eyes on each other, they’re hooked. After Drogo, all through the seasons she grew more & more, becoming stronger and more stoic as she climbed the ladder of power, never showing her tender side again, except a scene or two with her scaled, fire breathing chilluns.
Then Jon came, and I was taken aback at how her steadfast, stoic, ruthless and queenly attitude became quickly destabilized whenever she was in Jon’s presence. I’m not calling her weak, it has nothing to do with weakness, but I just wanted to point that out. I mean it like she is experiencing a feeling for this man, Jon Snow, that she hasn’t felt since she was the wife of Khal Drogo. That’s why I don’t get the group of fans who complain about Jon & Dany being rushed or forced... well what about Drogo? She was arranged, basically forced to be his wife and lover, and she STILL fell for him. Does it really need to be pointed out to said fans that in real life, love knows no bounds? It’s just there, you don’t think it, you FEEL it, as if your heart is within her chest, and every time she is away from you your soul aches to its core for her to return to your arms. That’s why the love between Daenerys & Jon didn’t seem forced to me at all. It seemed just right, in fact. I felt like the whole show lead up to that moment, because both of their characters were focused on by the show in such a similar way.
It wasn’t just poetic, it was practically meant to be in my eyes, I thought to myself many times that if Dany made it across the sea back to Westeros, the only true love for her would be good ‘ol, honorable Jon Snow. The tension was good too, the whole time I thought one of them was gonna just lose control and haul off for a kiss lol. But I sure wish they could have fleshed out the ending scene more, like instead of the soap opera type scene where no words are said and he simply walks into here room and shuts the door, and it immediately cuts to them mid-whoopie on that comfy fur bead. Sure it was a good scene, the way they looked into each other’s eyes said it all... but I think it would have paralyzed the audience with Jonerys ship-fever if there were some words said before any action took place. Like maybe he knocks and she lets him in, her eyes already yearning for his warmth, and his returning the same look, and instead of giving into her passion which is almost overflowing because they are so close to each other, Dany makes one last futile attempt to postpone the inevitable( just like the scene where he tells her she does deserve to rule the Kingdoms and her heart almost melts, and she realizes she’s squeezin’ his hand a lil too intimately so she pulls away and leaves him with a “get some rest..”) by looking away and changing whatever subject they might’ve been on to one of business instead... so Jon being the cool under pressure, awkward as hell around women type of fella he is, gives into her little game and talks business as well, or tries to at least... for the tension becomes too much to bear, and Daenerys realizes she stopped talking midway through her plans for the coming war, and had just been looking into Jon’s eyes, as his gaze was upon her eyes and nothing else mattered to him in that moment, for he hadn’t heard a word she said.
They stand there, gazing into each other’s eyes, and they both notice how oddly uncomfortable it feels to be so far away from one another, even though they are a few mere feet apart, barely halfway across the cabin from each other. Her breath begins to quiver, her exhales & inhales short and shaky, and to her own amazement she cannot meet his gaze, she’s never felt this way before, not even for Drogo. She feels for the first in a long while, vulnerable, and weakened. Overpowered by such a divine feeling of love, she cannot keep her walls up any longer, and she turns away from his gaze and faces her back to him. Just as she does this, Jon can think of neither family nor friends, nor war or peace. All worldly things leaves his mind in this moment, and the only thing that is in his mind and heart is a burning, unimaginable love for the woman in front of him, and though she is close she seems so very far away, and he knows he cannot stand it any longer... he closes the distance quickly, like the sly and silent dire wolf he is, giving her only enough time to turn her head around towards him, and at that point he is close enough that her face is buried in the leather over his armored leather chest, the top of her head and forehead fitting just so in the crook of his chin & neck. They don’t lock lips right off the bat like so many predictable shows do...it needs to be as close to the real thing as possible.
So then they stand in each other’s embrace for maybe a minute, leaning into each other’s bodies and Jon burying his nose into her hair as he takes in her scent, Dany pressing her still cold cheeks against his warm neck, pressing her lips on his collarbone, taking in his smells as well. In that small moment they seem as one, inseparably desperate for one another and wanting nothing else but to stay like that, intertwined in each other’s arms with no space between their bodies, and never leave that cabin(just as Jon & Ygritte were in the Cave of Popped Cherries), or their embrace. Finally after like a minute of the most intimate, affectionate standing nuzzling session you’ve ever seen, Dany finally lifts her head to look into Jon’s eyes, and she can barely keep them open for the raw, intimate emotions she is feeling is too much to control, her passion burns so strong for Jon that she truly melts in his arms, barely able to hold her gaze up into his eyes for a second before her eyelids collapse and a tear or two of pure passionate love squeezes out from every heavy blink of her lilac eyes, and try as she does she cannot open them again except for a mere half a second, she cannot take being this close to his face without kissing him, but all she can muster for a kiss is a couple small, rapid upward twitches of her head, which only reaches his scruffy chin.
She tries to lift her face to attempt a third time, but again all she can muster is a few rapid upward chin movements and a small whimper when she realizes she has to breath... and as she begins to take in her breath in shaky inhales after holding it, Jon finally presses his forehead against hers and holds her lips with his own and releases, over & over again within the span of a few seconds, rapid but deep and intimate kisses, and between every one he feels and hears her shaky inhales and exhalees, still catching her breath even though it shortens with every passing minute. She almost faints from the raw passion and almost disregards the need to breath entirely. she is experiencing from him the same unrelenting passion she gives him in return, all these pure, powerful emotions & feelings wrapped up into one moment, and words aren’t enough for them, it’s only through touch and breath and warmth of each other that they can express their feelings, and even then it’s not enough. She groans mid-kiss, an immensely satisfied, affectionate groan that sends vibrations down his throat and into his very lungs. THEN, is when the scene that’s already there should kick in, when their full Monty and makin’ whoopie, rolling around in that fur bed.
@@WhaleofDreams What a comment. That was so deep man. The fact that they are just looking at each other's eyes and dont say any word makes the scene even more powerful, it is a masterpiece. And as a fan of the series, even if it felt wrong cause we know that Jon is also a Targaryan, i wanted them to flirt, cause strangely the tension between them overcame the incest itself, even more than between Jaime and Cersey. As u said, I think the actors were just too good for us, and from the first episode they met you could already feel they were attracted by one another. Sometimes love doesn't need time, you can't escape it you can't deny it even to yourself because her charm makes you capsize every time . When a man loves a woman, he can't keep his mind on nothing else...

@@zade7284 The lack of episode time was the biggest problem in my opinion. It led to a lot of potential interactions between characters and moments that should have been but were cut out because there was no time for them.
The mainframe of the story ; Jon killing Daenerys, Bran becoming King don't completly satisfy me obviously but I did see it coming since I have read the books and the books do highlight Daenerys's way of ''Fire and Blood'' far more than the show does.
Although, the freaking Night King and white walkers not being the final threat was really dissapointed to me, and for them to be dealt with in one episode was complete garbage but yet again victim of lack of time, not poor writing.
I just hope people realise that the main frame of the story will be the same in the books, although a lot more content will be surrounding it and more time will be invested too so things won't be as rushed.
But Daenerys will turn mad and Jon will kill her, and doing this will furfill the prophecy of Azor Ahai by defeating the ''darkness'. Darkness that we misstook for the White walkers when it was actually representing the ''Wheel'' that Daenerys spoke of all this time ; The system of Tyrany that has been in place for far too long.
@@insid3rkill3r Book fans tell me that dany destroying city still comes at even a bigger suprise,because in books she has even more compassion towards the people,for example when the disease struck Mereen. She helped all those people when she didint needed to. Tells you a lot about her character. She is ruthless but to her ENEMIES. And how does "breaking the wheel" help in this ending? There is still a king,only difference is that king is chosen by lords which actually can bring even more wars in future than it did before. Atleast with old system u had stability.

Did you all notice their last words to one another... Daenerys - *Together..* Jon - *Always...* Feels. Definitely a tragedy. This music alone nararrates their whole story. It sounds romantic, sad, full of passion and a dangerous love.

The ultimate good guy. He put everything aside in the form of human needs for the greater good.
The way they build the Jon and Dany soundtrack up towards the end of the season is pure class, first glimpse that we get is during the cave scene where it's subtle, after that the boat scene when Dany speaks with injured Jon where is gets more intense, and then finally the boat sex scene with the climax of the build up.. Bravo Ramin Djawadi

Just realized how this may literally be the Song of Ice and Fire:
Whenever Jon and Daenerys are together, this plays as a leitmotif. A version of this plays when they're both in the Dragonglass cave, when Jon touches Drogon, when Daenerys reaches out to Jon beyond the Wall, when Jon "bends" the knee to her, and, of course, during this scene in the finale. And it even sounds like a mix of the Targaryen and Stark themes.

The reason I love this track so much is because it's hinted at very slightly throughout the entire season, almost every time Jon and Daenerys look at each other (besides their first meeting) and you hear more and more of it as the season progresses
This is the song it has been leading up to and it definitely shows
From about 2:14 onwards, it just keeps getting better and more intense up until the big reveal where it calms down before fading out

DasFritzchen I heard 2019 as well. The production got delayed because they wanted to set it in Winter. And we're talking about 1.5 hour long episodes and wars. Yes, i can see 2019 being a huge possibility.

Surely this must be what love sounds like. The love Rhaegar and Lyanna had for each other. Lyanna's desperate love for her newborn son. Ned's love and compassion for his sister, that led him to a fateful promise. His love for Jon, who he raised like a son. Jon and Dany's love for each other.... masterfully put together in this song. Over the years, Jon has grown into a strong man and a fierce warrior. But it was unconditional love that saved him when he came into the world. That's why he lived.
I still can't get over the fact that the theme of House Stark and House Targaryen were fused together to make this masterpiece.
I'm laughing at all the people thinking this is just Jon's theme song. This song has played and ONLY played during Jon and Dany's big moments. Its their theme. Not just his.

Actually this is the theme that plays during scenes relevant to jon being a targaryan hince the name "Truth" also a variation of it plays while he is touching drogon and a few other scenes

Their eyes said more than they ever could've spoken. They looked into the eyes of their one true love and knew it in that moment. This track only furthers that feeling for the audience.

Because many people expected the show to subvert and upset fan expectations. Now many of the major plot points are unraveling in the way most people, even casual viewers, had forseen years ago. There's no bite or surprise anymore.
The show has abandoned the political drama genre ( and temporal continuity ) in favor of more mind-numbing action.
There's something amazing about this soundtrack, Djawadi is able to capture something which sounds beautiful but at the same time you can also get the undertones that there is something dark looming in the background.

@Jason Yuen there's a difference between going our way and paying off something. This just doesn't feels like game of thrones anymore. What happens when the spectacle takes over the screenplay? This disaster. The Penultimate episode of Game of Thrones is now officially rated as the lowest one in the series.
What bothered me the most was how this season is paced. This could've easily been a 10 episode season. I just couldn't feel where all these impulsive decisions from the characters were coming from. We've known Dany for 7 seasons and we know that she would not have done this. Two or three subtle hints of her becoming the 'Mad Queen' just couldn't compensate with what she did right in these 7 seasons. The one thing that just went into the Dustbin was Jamie's character development.
Why did he care about the long night at all then? Why did the writers place him back in Winterfell? Oh because they wanted Bran to give him a smart ass remark? Because we needed to see him knight and then bang Brienne for no reason? By the way, if Dany truly is the psycopath half the people on here are claiming she always was then why didnt she execute Jaime for killing her father? Oh thats right cause literally nothing makes any sense at this point anymore. We just put people in scenes. I just couldn't feel the characters anymore. A shocking twist just for the sake of shocking fans is plain stupidity. It should come organically. We've waited two years for this garbage.
@Jason Yuen You sir think I dislike the show because of the love story didn't end well? No, it's because this was the last moment I had goosebumbs while I was watching Game of Thrones. Even though Season 7 wasn't the best, it still had some cool and epic moments, whereas Season 8 is just a hollow shell of what Game of Thrones used to be.

Ramin is a bloody genius! The way he makes you feel emotion when you listen to a song, makes you think of the characters and their stories and how this song will tie into the show....ahhh i'm excited but sad at the same time!
The great thing about Ramin's music is you don't even have to watch the scene to guess what's going on.. my guess: 0:00-0:45 strings are static to build tension, probably a talking scene. 0:45 sounds like it transports us somewhere else. 1:00 sounds like Pachelbel Canon, could be a wedding scene at this part, probably R&L. 1:20 and 2:45 are both Jon and Dany theme, so I'm guessing their scenes will be intercut during those parts. 1:20 is split ear, high strings on left ear, bass on right ear, so Jon and Dany are probably meeting here, but still separate. 2:00-2:45 music quiets (more talking) and then starts to swell until probably THE big reveal at the climax, 2:45. Then Jon and Dany union finally at 2:45 to end.

This music sums up Jon Snow's life. The revelation of his legitimacy, full parentage, consummation of his relationship with Daenerys and his real identity as Aegon Targaryen. He's truly the Promised Prince, and his story is the Song of Ice and Fire.
PhoenixFlamesify New Rockstar did a video on this and their theory which I think is VERY plausible is that the kid of Jon/Danny will be the prince that was promised, resonating with the idea of "a song of ice and fire".
Dank oh nah. The whole story of a song of fire & ice, is about the prince that was promise. Which is Jon Snow. There is an interview with Martin braking about it. They asked him about Jon being resurrected & he replied that he thought it would be cool to add Resurrection to Jon's storyline to make it even more like a prophecy, & that by now his fans of the books should know that Jon is the main character/protagonist.
There is also an interview with the director of the last episode talking about how George RR Martin told him A Song of Ice and Fire is literally Jon and Dany and that they are both the point of the entire story.
How can the two most boring characters be the point of the whole story? Really disappointing, but the music is very good.

Ramin Djawadi does it again. I am a fan of all his works from games to tv shows to movies, i love it all. However his work on G.O.T is his greatest accomplishment to date. With all due respect to his Ramin's great mentor, Hans Zimmer has not made pieces that move me like Ramin's. Bravo, Ser. Bravo. 22 out of 10 for this track.

It's written on Wikipedia that this song is a "grand variation of Jon & Daenerys Theme". So it is not the new Aegon (Jon) Targaryen Theme, nor Rhaegar and Lyanna love theme, it's only Jon and Dany love theme.
Can't wait, but it will happen in season 8. For now, Jon will be revealed as Aegon Targaryen, the rightful heir to the Iron Throne and the Prince that was promised to us, the audience.

Maester Aemon Targaryen was the rightful king by law and he didn't want it but that didn't matter because the law is the law so he joined the nights watch to remove himself from the line of succession because they can't have any lands or titles etc. That is what made his younger Brother Aegon the 5th King.

I'm a book reader and I still think George will try to come up with somewhat of a happy ending. After all the struggles and horrors our favourite characters had to go through, they deserve some hapiness. It's not about cliches or predictable things, it's about what makes sense in this beautiful story. George loved LOTR's ending and said in many interviews that is the kind of ending he wants to implement in ASOIAF.

This track is one of my favourites because you can actually feel the emotions- love, loss, pain, acceptance of the inevitable. Truth tells the love story- Jon and Daenerys- perfectly.

May want to sleep for 2 days afterwards too to process the feelings. I am still dead after watching
it's not a battle scene, but this moment is one of the biggest in the show.

This was supposed to be a celebration of the whole truth behind Jon Snow's real identity and the flourishing forbidden love between him and Daenerys. But after the tragic ending that befell them, all I wanted to do is curl up in a ball and cry all the while listening to this. It's just so sad how power and sudden isolation blended together can descend a person into madness, even those with so strong a will. "A Targaryen alone in the world is a terrible thing." I know the writers have messed up with the story, but given the chance to rewrite it and deliver the most satisfying ending whilst adhering to the philosophy of the series, it will always boil down to tragedy. There was never a happy ending, 'cause "if you think this has a happy ending, then you haven't been paying attention."
This is Jon/Aegon and Dany's love theme. I heard it was a combination of both their love themes from their first loves. Along with Stark and Targaryen themes as well. There is a good reason for his true name to be Aegon. The first Aegon unified all of the 7 Kingdoms and established the Targaryen dynasty. Now it has been destroyed and it will get worse. It will take another Aegon to save it, unify it again and reestablish that dynasty. But this time, because of both Dany and Jon/Aegon's values it will be a bigger and better dynasty for the whole Kingdom. Not just those on top. And both will instill these values in their children and their childrens children and so on. A dynasty that will last for a 1000 yrs. Just like Cercei said to Jamie in the first episode.
I never thought about it like that I just knew Jon would make a better king because of the fact out of all characters but Ned was the most honorable. He had no desires but to be happy
This makes my heart sad. I was in eighth grade recovering from a deep depression when season 3 ended and I decided to watch the show. Catching up to the red wedding and reading the lore of the show lifted up my spirits. I am in a much better place now but it pains me like a thorn in my heart when I see what the show became. Such wasted potential.

Djawadi is truly an inspiration, the main melody is absolutely beautiful.
Without saying much, I think this is the bet soundtrack I've everheard. I've never felt the kind of urge to search for a background track the way I felt for this one. It was just that beautiful, it adds so much depth and emotion into that one scene. That "scene" was te most emotional and befitting intimate scene i've ever seen in a show/movie. It was really moving to see Jon, as the true hero, the one that suffered, the one that had nothing in his hands, no life of his own, no claims for anything, the one who only believed in doing the right thing. And in the end, the one who found a purpose, who finally got what he deserved, the one who rightfully deserves to win, the true rightful heir to the throne, a kind, noble hearted king!
This particular scene was less described by visuals and more by this captivating soundtrack!
