Wow. Just another awesome knife from civivi. I love my praxis but this mini praxis would surely be my new favourite edc knife. This something I would carry and use everyday.

I got a paraxis and loved it. Being bigger than knife I usually carry ,was surprised how easy it was to carry .used it a lot. For cutting food and everything else,every day. But the clip bent, I bent it back and in no time it bent again and was gone. Never felt the 2nd bend. I lost 3 & have a purple Damascus that’s MIA around the house or yard somewhere that might show back up eventually. The clip again. You think if I got some of the deep carry titanium clips that are purple & blue ect that they sell,that would help with the bending problem?the mini has less cutouts and might be better but I DONT WANT TO LOOSE any more knives ! What’s a good clip to use that doesn’t snag or bend easily. Please LMK. Thx.

It’s awesome for a little knife . Great to carry but larger version can do more things and that goes for all larger knives imo. The day when a person finds out is glorious

The D2 is the blade steel Civivi should’ve used to start with, honestly.
Thank you for the excellent review of the Mini Praxis! I may order one, but am wondering how robust the "relatively thin" blade would be in everyday use (no prying or batoning, etc.). Also, I've had only one other Civivi knife (the Ortis), and the flipper tab on that one was almost unusable, so I hope they dialed in this flipper tab a bit better. Thanks again!
It is only a D2 blade, it can be somewhat brittle if you put it under stress, but I dont think you'll have any issues with every day knife use ie. cutting tape, boxes, packaging, fruit
But if whatever your intended use is means youre concerned with the strength of this blade, i'd honestly just recomend you spend a bit more money on a knife with a better steel. I'd recommend something like the civivi nox if you want a similar profile/size to this one. Its in nitro v steel so its a significant upgrade.
Summary: mini praxis should be fine, just dont abuse it and youll be sweet :)
Thinner the blade, sharper the knife. I only want a thick blade on a fixed blade survival knife.
D2 is the best deal in knife steel, it’s awesome.

For D2 I’d actually want it around 58-59hrc so less chipping and easier sharpening. Not every steel works well at a high hardness.
Civivi makes lots of knives over 3.7 and up. Asticus, shredder, vexer, governor, full size bullmastiff and mastodon and the picaro. Im pretty sure thats all of them not including the OG praxis itself.

Doesnt change the fact you can still buy them in plenty of places.
Also, the incite…the incite is the greatest budget knife of all time, imo. I gobble them up whenever one appears on eBay for a reasonable price. Some people have gotten hip to how nice they are. That coupled with the fact that they’re discontinued…some postings are as ridiculous as ~$200.

Its a 30 dollar knife, enough said. I just bought one for work so I can abuse it and not care. That's the area this knife falls in. If you are critical or have certain "ways" you want your EDC to perform, go ahead and spend the extra money for a better built, better quality knife.
I was hesitant to get Chinese D2 because it is usually crap. I kept hearing Civivi does a good job with it so I pulled got a mini Praxis in D2. Nope, Civivi is Chinese crap steel that hides within a well designed exterior. It Won’t hold an edge. I Pretty much have to sharpen it every day if I use it.

Now I know why my comment was deleted 2x by you: you’re being paid by Civivi to promote their knives ( according to RUclips ). I went to their website and they are still charging FULL PRICE for the mini Praxis, there’s no sale price under $30. This is a totally BS review.
I haven't deleted any comments. RUclips deletes comments it deems inappropriate. They were $29.75 at BladeHQ before they sold out, and I think about that after the discount at White Mountain Knives. Civivi has them for MAP which is normal, as they can't undercut their dealers. I am an affiliate of Civivi and they sent me this knife to review.
If $5 difference in price makes you this upset, I genuinely feel sorry for you. I hope things get better.

It's actually cheaper to order from CIVIVI. They don't charge shipping or tax. If you order for 29.95 it will be more after tax and shipping.
Amazon sells it for $29.75. I just bought one. Great knife BTW
