Awesome review!! I just picked up a 2020 450 xcf, coming off my 4th 300xc. I absolutely love this bike and you are correct it’s a monster! Best ktm I’ve ever owned and I’ve had lots. And I thought I was a 2T for life. Not sure I’ll ever buy a smoker again. Love this bike!
Nice test. Def PRO rider. I've been in love with KTM since Dan Salamone, regional honcho, asked me to tell the range in 2001. I ride then all including John Dowd's factory 250. That was a burly bike, could pull 3rd great starts with ease. Only my previous KX500s could do that. Dan hooked me up 2 years later with ridiculous deal on a 2003 250SX 2T. That bike was a factory bike replica of what Pit "Pitbull" Beirer was racing in the Grands Prix. It was FASTER than every 450F at the time, including KTMs own 450F. Imagine a bike that on a day straight would be wheelieing at the to of 4th great and even 5th in some cases. If you never ride one you can't imagine it. As for me, I ended up with a Pro Circuit pipe which made the transition from you're more end to mid-range Moore for us normal humans. A 6 oz. Stealy flywheel weight made it a perfect 2T motor. KTM spent the last 15 years talking down that factory replica. Remember, Jeremy McGrath only added a PC pipe and silencer... That's factory level HP out of the crate. My buddy Gerard has a 2019 Husky 250, can't wait to ride both and see how the engines compare. Obviously the chassis is worlds better than mine but Factory Connection revalved mine a few weeks into ownership. BRAAAAP on my Bros.
I really enjoyed the honesty and education of the review. Thank you!

Great and enjoyable as usual Pat and showing a bit off flesh as well Dam! My wife enjoyed that bit Ha!
I want to buy new KTM or Husky. Still no sure of the AER fork. Pat brings up a good point. They are inconsistent. Would CONE VALVE fork be better?
No people are paying thousands for them for no reason lol
Awesome, keep up the good work. We are tired of seeing the Japanese bikes dominate here in America.
