This is absolutely Elder Millennial catnip 😂 I deeply enjoyed it and hope it gets all the retrofetish views it deserves

This was informative and entertaining. LOVE that Canon camcorder, and I agree with you about the Quicksilver: best-looking Mac G4 tower. Happy festivities, Mr Gear Head! Keep up the good work, and all the best for you and your channel in 2023! Cheers - //Rick

Thanks. :) The canon is a really cool camera, and I’d like to figure out a cool project to put it to use on.
Happy holidays! All the best in 2023.

Glad your channel fell in my recommendations. You defintely have the capacity to blow up quick on RUclips! Keep up the originality and consitsency and I'm sure you'll hit 100k, 250k, and even more subs in no time at all!

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Right when this stuff was new I was in art school learning to use it. Those quicksilver macs looked futuristic back then, through the mirror door that came later was quite a bit more powerful. The software was even more basic though... CS3 didn't come out till 2007 or so? Pretty sure it was the time period of Aftereffects 4.

Ughhhh.... The image quality.😈Sweet video! Fun experience to watch you go through. The real-time, firewire transfer was always a drag.

It isn’t in the video, but for the last batch of clips I transferred I ended up using iMovie. Way less hassle than FCP. It was fun tho.

That was awesome. Careful with the early 2000's dslr's and digicams... I've fallen down that rabbit hole and it's dangerous how fun it is 😂🤓 Those CCD sensors have really cool vibes... Thanks for the great video, it looked so rad!

Thanks. I’m glad you liked it. I think you’re right, hunting down older DSLRs looks like it can become an addiction. Fortunately they’re pretty inexpensive.

@@gearheadchannel Totally! I might have snatched up 3 digicams last week for under $100 US. I love seeing how they progressed stylistically in the early 2000s

Dude the problem with your videos is that they are so well done that people coming through to watch are just left speechless and just move on to the next one. Your channel is easy to binge. That's why these videos barely have comments at the time I'm writing this. Needless to say your channel is like a RUclips viewer's dream honestly.

Thanks. :) people quietly shuffling off questioning what they just saw is, as the kids say these days… a vibe.

I’ve been a little quiet on this channel lately, but I’ll hopefully have some new stuff up in the coming few weeks.
