I am a North Indian and I feel Telugu people should be proud of how someone from their clan who has set standards which no other Female Actress has ever done in this male dominated society. How many 50 plus actresses have had commercial movies made as, Female protagonists? Moreover, the movies have been successful which is again a benchmark and gives ample confidence to new generation of actresses to aim higher. Her body of work is immense. How many successful South Indian actors/actresses have made it in North Indian cinema and vice-versa? How many actors in general have been at the top in 3 biggest Indian film Industries(Hindi, Tamil & Telugu)? The answer is hardly any except for Sridevi. One of the main reasons of this is her versatility. In such a long career she has been very dignified and has never said anything derogatory about any actor/director/technician. Rajamouli has been very unprofessional speaking about her in Public forum. Sridevi's whole acting career of 50 years has spanned across decades which in sheer magnanimity is more than Rajamouli's age. But what is amusing is seeing many Telugu people being so unreasonable and trying to abuse her on public platform. She decided not to do the movie and thats where it should "End'. There should be no public shaming just because others think that Bahubaali was an amazing movie and she did a heinous crime by refusing it.
Lets face it Bahubali is not a great cinema but is an amazing story telling with above average performances. All the leading critics who are pioneers in their field have commended Rajamouli's story telling but labelled performances as Average. Its not going to get its actors any National Award accolades because it lacks the nuances of great histrionics and is more theatrics.

Rajamouli just mentioned that they did not take her because the remuneration details weren't acceptable to both parties. It is the media which is blowing this out of proportion. Go watch any of the Hindi videos about Sridevi, you'll see PLENTY of North Indians also trolling her and saying it was good she didn't act in Bahubali. Everyone is doing that- not just the Telugu people. Stop generalising one particular linguistic group.

He is a very decent actor. And don't ever forget the writer behind this. It is Rajamouli's father who wrote it from scratch to the details of shooting and demanding larger than life sets. In my view, he is the most deserving person for this success. Others just met his expectations and worked heard to achieve his dream project.
