Lest Mercenary NATO cold war advisor
Many East Germany generals were WW2 veterans under Hitler too sooo
"I fought for the Kingdom, not for the King"

He earned the title of Veteran of Germany of all times.
Dude would’ve fought with the Vandals and helped sacked Rome if they had let him
Imagine living through like 2 or 3 different total collapses of your nation in your lifetime. Also being a key player in all of them.
“So you took part in abhorrent war crimes?”
“…”
“Welcome aboard! You’re now in charge!”
Bro took "Für Volk und Vaterland!" veeeeery serious.

No wonder NATO did alot of funny shit in the middle east lmao
How are these two things related? Someone had to keep muzzies under control
least nationalist german ever
now you know exactly what kind of people fled from East Germany to West Germany.
Do some Research on Generaloberst Willi Stoph. He was Wehrmacht officer and later National Minister of defense in the DDR
Funnily enough they stereotype of German Neonazis IS that they are all in the east
Our political police STB (version of KGB) literally hired a German officer who hunted down partysans because he was useful. Soviets also changed agreement with Germany when Thalmann should be changed for another prisoner. But Thalmann was favourite among the people so they changed it to put Ulbricht instead who was more controable by Soviets. Thats how they stand for ideals lol
Bro better be grateful he wasn’t captured by the Red Army, he should be glad he switch fronts fr.
His dedication to his country no matter the government is very commendable.
True careerist.
Nah look at Marshal Paulus the guy went from working with the Kaiser to the communists
Based Paulus. He warned high command that invading the USSR would fail, it failed, was put in charge of a new doomed offensive, it failed again, got captured with an entire army. Him going "fighting the Soviets again ? Fuck this" was perfectly understandable.
Least based German General:
Based? Didn't know that nazi were based.
