She's not that good at it. I hear her English accent pop up every so often. She clearly needed to get a few more movies done when playing an American. She finally got it nailed perfectly in The Circle, where she plays a naive girl taken in by a billionaire to work for a company that is based on Facebook.

I love how different this role is from Hermione. It's actually really impressive how Emma can pull off two completely different roles.

As an actress, I know it's actually pretty hard to play a part completely different to your personality. I had to play this bitchy mean girl in a play- and it was super hard as I'm used to playing shy characters. I know it's not the same as Emma's in award winning movies, but she usually plays the innocent brainy characters like Hermione Granger

she hated the character but respected the script and the director, she felt that this story needed to be shared because of the message just like the message behind perks of being a wallflower, I love that she really picks movies that have some sort of message instead of just picking a movie because it'll make her richer, she puts her heart and soul in every character she plays :)

best part about "the story" is the one girl that Emma plays, got her own show AS they are robbing everyone. She literally killed her own career for a few free dresses and some jewelery.
She is pretty to boot. Prettier than Emma and that says a lot.

I really liked this movie, it's told with great taste and it really reflects the reality of what happened. Of course, Emma is the absolute star of this flick, no wonder the critics gave her rave reviews! She is a wonderful, A list actress.

THIS IS a movie about worst teens who don't see nothing in live except from clothes, chills, cigarettes, drugs, celebrities and other kind of "cool" stuffs. THINK PEOPLE! That guy has low self-esteem started to steal just because he wanted to be friends with girls and belong somewhere. Otherwise he would be bullied in school for sure. But by pleasing those girls wishes he just ruined his live. The people that actually did this broke into my friend Anna's house just outside of Beverly Hills (or at least 2 of them did). I don't get why it's okay to glamorize this... Anna's Mom was home at the time and now has serious post traumatic anxiety and depression problems. They left her terrified. Of course that's left out of the move and press since Anna's Dad is 'just an executive producer' so he doesn't have paparazzi following him 24/7 so it doesn't make a good enough story. Agh! Makes me SO mad!
Sorry to hear that. The Verfumdungseffekt in really stylised film often, kinda, flattens the real life situation into stereotypes, and reduces it to a broader social commentary. The intention in this case seems to have been to make a real situation look false. Because the mindset of the perpetrators is false. Reality TV contestants Thinking they will get a feel for the life of a Hollywood star by breaking into their home and hanging out. the rest of the world (who wasn't involved) can't help but read it as fiction it is so uncanny. Even though it actually happened , and is in fact quite common,it makes the world look a little less familiar when presented in this glamourised way.
