Just moved to Singapore from Taiwan a year back, trying to get used to Singapore mahjong after playing Taiwanese mahjong all my life. Your videos have been a great help
@@bestrobber97 wow, thank you. i’m glad to hear that my videos have helped you understand sg mahjong. how’s it going so far? have you played with anybody here already?
some decent dmg recovery at the end haha, enjoyed the vlog as not every session is gonna be winning! got once i entire round win one 1tai only 😅 some hands i feel can play differently but everyone got their own style + after you shoot special, mind cfm not the clearest. Hope to see more in the future :)
@@icynism wah shag, whole round win one 1 tai only, must be v dry. and yeah you’re right, my mind was still fixated on that special hand i shoot, so i wasn’t fully focused alr. don’t worry, feel free to give me feedback on the hands that you feel i could have done better. that’s the reason why i show you guys the hand and how i played it mah right hahaha. anyway, thanks for your support! 🙏🏼

@@Jade-ur5wh hi jade, thanks for asking! i discarded 3 tong because i had x2 4ban along with x1 5 ban, as well as x2 7 tong. there’s a chance of drawing 3 & 6 ban to call card, or even the third 4 ban & 7 tong to call card also. so i felt the sensible decision would be to discard 3 tong since i already have 4, 5 & 6 tong done, no need to go the ‘longer’ way. but i can see why keeping 3 tong & discarding 5 ban would be sensible also, can accept 2, 5 & 8 tong to call card. either way, i think there’s no right or wrong, just depends on what tiles enter!
@@Jvios yeah i probably should have, at least can call card after eating. it’s just my play style to refrain from eating as much as i can, at least other players might think that i’m doing half colour pp, make it look more dangerous. nothing wrong with either in my opinion, just a matter of preference
@@Jvios my thought was since 4 tong was discarded once, it would likely be discarded again. but reviewing the hand again, i agree with you. should have called 2,5 & 8 for higher chance of winning. at that point, my head was still at the dsy hand that i just shoot 🥲 so not playing to the best of my abilities liao

@@Shei-nx7po yeah you’re somewhat right. you have been a frequent viewer of my channel, i’m sure you would roughly know my playstyle now. i usually don’t like to expose the strength of my tiles, i prefer to keep it concealed and let other players guess the strength of my hand. eating 7 ban would just expose that i’m either doing a 2 or 4 double hand. if possible, i would always prefer to draw relevant tiles on my own 😅
@@patriciakhor6028 hahaha i get where you’re coming from, you got a point. but i prefer to put ‘unique titles’ so that i can look back on and remember significant moments from every video. and also, it’s good for viewers to know that everybody has up’s and down’s in mj, including myself. i’ve only shown the good hands and the times i’ve won in my past videos, figured it’ll be good for a change!
@@patriciakhor6028 it’s a good suggestion! but i’ll keep this in mind for my upcoming videos? this definitely will not be the last time i’ll be facing such circumstances. thank you for your suggestion, i’ll make sure to credit you for it 🙂
