Fading Summer: Cumbres and Toltec, Fall 2017

Summer has faded into fall in the North Country of New Mexico and Southern Colorado, and the fall colors are on their way, but the cold is already here. Here we see scenes around the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad which include the locomotive servicing areas, the Rio Chama Bridge, The Narrows, Lobato, Dalton, Perry's Pond, Coxo, Windy Point, Cumbres and Los Pinos. First we see C&TS 487 and Rio Grande Southern 455 moving around the yard in preperation for the day, then in a doubleheader on their way to Cumbres. We catch the 455 drifing away at Los Pinos. Later in the end we see 488 bringing the train home for the evening.
