I use the same ingredients except I also add Borders Sweet Condense Milk. 375 degrees is too high. It will make the crust very dark. I use pie crust. Graham crust is for my cold pies like cheese cake, etc. Some may like Graham crust but bring the degree down to 3:50. The potatoe pie may not taste burnt because it is basically done but cooked enough so the egg in it is cooked enough and kind of solid. It's heated long enough where there will be no salmonella. For all viewers don't for to cover edges of pie with foil so the edges won't be darker than pie. When the middle is firm take off the foil until edges look light brown. Now it's ready.

I didn’t. Depending on the crust, I only use foil if I see the crust getting too dark. With my homemade crust, I don’t need it. With graham cracker, I still don’t need it.

Gil I did her air fryer ribs and I will never make ribs any other way again. They're outstanding!! Just have to adjust time based on weight of the ribs I found.
I’m trying to make it with can yams like my mom used to make but even after I do all the steps it comes out milky rather than smooth🥺 what am I doing wrong? Should I wait until they’re cooled down after cooking them????
Thanks for the feedback but I haven’t had a stringy sweet potato pie in years. Running the sweet potatoes through a food processor won’t necessarily get rid of all the strings either, I’ve had stringy sweet potatoes that have been run through food processors. Those things are stubborn. The strings are generally because of the sweet potatoes. Something to do with the season and when they are produced. Some have a lot, some not so much. I’ve been lucky to pick ones that are not stringy or have very little.

I use unsalted butter for all my baking. I add a 1/4 tsp of salt to the recipe though.

I’ve never used the canned yams but you’ll for sure want to wait until the pie cool before slicing them.
