Cool to finally see what Dan looked like when he was alive in this comic and also in Medievil Resurrection they had a different a different model. In both cases he wasn't much better looking. Still cool.
I'm also glad they scrapped the idea of making Kiya a villian.

Me too. Although her role in MediEvil 2 was incredibly underwhelming, making her turn out to be a traitor would have been 10x worse, since it would have made Whitechapel/The Sewers/The Time Machine and what Dan went through in those levels all for nothing.

It seems Sir Daniel Fortesque's use of the Time Machine caused him to exist outside of his original continuity as a separate person entirely; meanwhile the "Daniel Fortesque" he swapped bodies with is now stuck as a living skeleton, hence the odd "left eye" he now has.
If there was a MediEvil 3, which would probably take place hundreds of years after MediEvil 2, that is, if the ending where Dan is resting with Kiya is made canon in some way, I bet the 2 Dans would clash at some point.

Great continuation of the Medievil... I really hope they make this into a game. Right after they remake Medievil 2.

Woah, this is trippy...and what's with "Dan" at the end? Where'd he get that other eye? Is this the past Dan he body swapped with? And what happened to the real Dan? So many questions, this needs a sequel!

It seems that our Dan (skeleton Dan) is stuck in a time loop sacrificing himself and then stopping Zarok and going through time. The other Dan (Captain Fortesque) stayed a skeleton and is now in Modern Day London messing with whatever.

So, quick question, does the dan we play as stay in the body of the alive dan after the battle? Because if so that mean he keeps repeating is (after)life over and over, but with full knowledge of each loop, does he not change anything? Not try to find a way to break the cycle? And then does that mean the Dan we see at the end of the comic is alive Dan?(As in, he never got to go through the story of the games, so he is still a coward)

my guess is skeleton Dan loses his memories of all the events from Medievil 1, 2 and this comic after he gets resurrected for the “first time” by Zarok at the beggining of Medievil 1, thus creating the perfect time loop.

I don't like this comic. While I like seeing Sir Dan when he was alive, many of the things it brings to the over arcing story take away rather than add. Time travel is something that can be done so easily and this was one of those stories.
Canny Tim was very clearly a boy in the game. Making him a girl adds nothing.
The female fairy who's better than the bob hoskins looking fairy adds nothing.
Dan's dog being a werewolf adds nothing.
Having Dan take his living counterpart's place to ensure he lives past the jabberwocky was fine, but having him get locked in a time loop pours dish water all over his deeds in the first game. Its not the sir dan that proves he's a hero who defeats Zarok, its the Dan who's lived through it all before.

Honestly this comic is an bitter disappointment, I dislike the story and the human design of Dan. I mean yeah I get he isn't suppose to be absolutely handsome but God he's so damn ugly that I'm glad he didn't have skin anymore later on, ntm his life self is just so unlikable and I genuinely don't feel sorry for. Overall yeah I'm not counting this as canon. (Another thing is that Princess Kiya is 19 years old and that Dan is old enough to be his father is just giving me very gross and uncomfortable vibes, Which I dislike MediEvil 2 story and character wise and so much more.)

      1. Wasn't it intentional that Dan was a prick/loser when he was alive, to make his redemption arc in the first game more significant?
      2. I know where you're coming from, but chronologically Kiya's older than Dan, being an Ancient Egyptian and all.

The gargoyles in the first game more or less allude to Sir Dan being a cowardly douche in life, so it is to be expected that he'd be portrayed as such here. And there's no way that anyone with Dan's head shape and teeth would ever look normal, let alone handsome. Dude is a complete gonk. I'd be willing to say that dying was perhaps the best thing to happen to him.
