Hey Mike, I've read alot about distributor shaft play and my timing is jumping around a few degrees one way and the other. So I'm wondering, how to tell if your distributor has play in it and how much is too much. Could you please do a video on that topic ?

yea it is perfect for that. This one has a lot more aluminum than some of the others.

yea those rungs are 2 inches off. I had to climb it really slow and go down slow.

just wiggle the shaft side to side. if its loose it is bad. could be point bounce too. another reason I use pointless.
