That moment at 23:50 when Alan official 'hands the torch' over to Sandy by saying 'You're in the right chair!' is precious!

I was raised in the country. We could ride the horses or bike for 10 miles. My mom use to blow the air horn and we could hear it. Oop. Time to turn around.
    Best memories ever!!!!

It's a beautiful thing what Alan Davies did at 23:26

Yeah absolutely! He seems like a great guy but then I see and hear about some incidents and interviews and I’m not so sure 😬

I didn't understand that at all. It seemed more like she was apologizing for being harsh by saying she was channeling? Channeling who anyway? Fry?
I don't read gossip, so I have no clue what may have been going on when she took over...

My family had a whistle, just like the panelist is saying there, and for the same purpose! When we were kids, if my sister and I were trying to find our parents, or the reverse, we could simply do the whistle (sorta... DOOT-DOOT-dooooooo) and it was extremely useful a thousand times. Way better than trying to scream out names in a crowded place, and one learns to hear it even when its noisy. Highly recommend

My family had a whistle that spanned many generations and it was passed down. If you got separated in a shop or something the whistle would help you find each other. Still going to this day.

French in France are much more willing to accept English words and phrases, and in fact use quite a lot of them. The Quebecois have instead came up with their own French words for many things the European French have just loanworded in.

Correction: Canadian French, not Québécois. The assertion or assumption that Québec is the only francophone part of Canada is both tiring and annoying.

@@juliansmith4295 It's an understandable mistake as well as arguably showing more knowledge of Canada than someone who doesn't even know that word.

IIRC English has many times more words, and it is of course overflowing with borrowed and integrated words of all sorts. French speakers have - for various reasons - been very much motivated to maintain (not sure what words to use) purity? integrity? and IIRC there are a bunch of laws in France supposed to defend the language in various ways.

At random, I've now watched three QI's in a row that Alan's won. I didn't know he'd won that many total.

On the toes you should have indicated which side he was to count from. From the big toe it would be his second to but if he was counting from the small toe in it would be the third toe as Alan said!!

Three is always the middle toe though? Either (1) small toe, (2) 'ring finger' toe, (3) middle toe, or it's (1) big toe, (2) index toe, (3) middle toe. Romesh touched his 'index toe', so it should have either been 2 or 4, never 3.
