Love all the patterns, any concern with the cross goal pass from goalie to 5

Thanks! Yeah I'm ok giving up goals especially early on in development to encourage switching field. But mistakes will happen.

Have a U10 team, practiced patterns #1 and #2 during just three sessions. It already made such a difference. Day and night! Working on this pattern now and then will use the rest of the spring season to repeat all three over and over. As you said, Rory, I think U9 and U8 would need a bit more time to get these down. My U10s played competitively for a year know and it did not take long to get the basics down for patterns 1 and 2. GREAT DRILLS!

Awesome! Wait till you get to the games and they build out. Its pretty satisfying as a coach.

Thank you for the great videos. I've watched all your 7v7 videos focusing on the 3 patterns. Do you plan to include more patterns or is there a resource I can look to for more patterns? Also, do you have any advice or drills to increase passing strength. These patterns are dependent on passing ability/skill. How much time is dedicated per practice to teaching and increasing passing skill?

Thanks! Yes I do have more patterns and plan on putting out video on them once my day job stops giving me more work!
In terms of passing strength, I recommend all my players do "wall ball" on their own not only for passing but also for receiving. Typically you will see this get better as they get older and their bodies mature.

Love this and your other patterns. I’m coaching U10 and we’re running 8v8. How would you modify in a 3-3-1 formation?

I really appreciate your session on pattern so much of detailed.. thank you.. but in this scenario don’t you think it’s being a bit defensive and you’ve been attacked- what do you do, how would you actually attack?!!
    Thanks 😊

How often would you coach pattern’s of play, myself I’m limited to 2x 1hr sessions a week.

That tough. With only 2x 1 hr sessions probably not more than 5-10 mins running through a pattern or two then play 7v3 to small goals etc.
