Hey Coach, I'm a U9 soccer coach from Germany and I'm working constantly with your videos to prepare for pratice. I play the 2-3-1 since two/three years and also appreciate it to all youth teams, but it's surpricingly relative rare in Germany. Most teams play 3-3. I want to say thank you for your videos and tipps. I use a lot of things from you in our training sessions!
Excellent session and breakout for fundamental development. You do a lot with simple directions. Your soccer videos are the best, keep up the great work!
This is excellent! Just what I needed for my U12 rec team today, thanks so much! Love the videos, I've watched a ton of yours. I would like to add myself to the list of people asking for more 9v9 content, the ones you have made are awesome and I would love more!
Will do! Yeah there are a lot of people asking for 9v9 content so will be making more of that. You can always modify the 7v7 stuff for 9v9 but I get that it’s better in a dedicated vid. Let me know how it goes!
I'm confused in this video. In the other build out videos the 'centerback' or defensive player isn't bringing the ball over the midline but the 'fullback' or midfielder is. but in the video the centerback is bringing it over the midline... is it if the fullback gets stuck in the middle of the field and then passes it back to the centerback and then the centerback brings if forward? ideas? what am I missing?
It's halfway through the season and I finally made it to this part, mannequins and all! I think its worth the effort (to haul mannequins). And to practice attacking in the final 3rd!
Striker needs to give the center mid a 45 degree angle for a possible through ball. However in this specific exercise I would encourage the center mid to take his own shot if space opens up
Hi coach, curious about your preferred 9v9 formation at this stage in your coaching career. I know 4-3-1 has been your standard in the past, but curious about whether 3-2-3 has usurped it in your mind
Just the piece I was looking for to complement your building out of the back mini games. Thank you!
Let me know how it goes!

Interesting. Glad they help!
Very nice progression from your last building out video. Brilliant work thank-you!
Thanks! Hope it helps.

brilliant, great for U8 kids. Enough simplicity whilst giving them lots of reps to play and take shots at goal
Yeah it’s great for younger ages. IMO
super pair with the BOOTB breakdown games video! now I've got my practices, baby!
Great new vid!- Keep going.
Doing my best thanks!!!
At 5:22 the center back is beyond the offensive build-out line, that seems really far forward for the center back?
Yes I’d encourage your CB to join the attack.
Fantastic video!
Excellent, gracias!
Thank you for providing the building blocks for a U12 9 x 9 team
Sure. Hope it helps.
Please coach, really need this for 9vs9, great content, really helpful.
Got a 7v7 to 9v9 big video coming hopefully next 2-3 weeks.

Ball is just starting with CB past half line as they are attacking.

It is! Hope your season is going well!!
@@CoachRorySoccer First place, baby! Would be nowhere without you!
@@MikeBaas love the updates!!!
Coach, if the center mid ends up with the ball and space to dribble forward, where do you have your striker go - still towards one of the posts?
Striker needs to give the center mid a 45 degree angle for a possible through ball. However in this specific exercise I would encourage the center mid to take his own shot if space opens up
Do you spend time making players aware of potential offside situations as the striker positions for a 45 degree through ball from the center mid?
@@ai79absolutely. This is a great opportunity to introduce offsides.

Depends on make up of players on the team. I do prefer 431 but sometimes you don’t have the CBs to pull it off and need to play a three man back line.
Please do some translations of your formation into 11v11
You can do this exact thing at 11v11. But yes more 11v11 stuff is coming!
Love to see some follow up with 9v9…would you just use your 6 instead of the CB?
Planning some 9v9 stuff soon! It’s similar your just adding players
Hi love your videos but do you have one that helps you decide where to play a player?
Have you seen my positioning rotations and substitutions video? I cover some of that there but at at the 7v7 level. Let me know!
@@CoachRorySoccer I have not but will find it and give it a watch now. Thank you so much for your reply.
Coach, are you a physician? Looks like a diploma that has a DO on it?
Yep. Emergency doc here.
@@CoachRorySoccer oh nice. I'm in med school now for my DO. Thanks for the videos.
@@josphellihsilak4588 good luck! Long road but worth it.
