It's an off week and I'm back in Dallas with the family, but we are still bringing you some practice round coverage. This time from a course that might be added next year for WACO. What are your thoughts on it? Would WACO be a better tournament with 2 rounds at the beast and 2 rounds at a more open style course?
@@beimsteiner bomber players get enough open courses and golf style course on tour.. it’s nice having a couple stops that aren’t on golf courses.. boring to watch disc golf on golf courses
Being an Oregonian, I say keep it in the woods! We see enough open bomber courses and I think the woods courses force other skill sets to win or place. Plus I love seeing pros demolish trees n show their human side.
This isn't related specifically to the course but just wanted to share an observation from watching and listening to the video: I just realized that Brodie is still throwing mostly the same distances as other professionals BUT he doesn't have the snap that Gossage's or Ezra's throws have. I'm not a pro but I've definitely noticed it tends to be something different about other pros shots so it could be something worth considering with you driving. Again, I could be TOTALLY off but it just seemed to be noticeable and as an ultimate player I want to see you CRUSH it on the DGPT! Keep putting out content for us!
Huge congrats Brodie and Ezra for your top 10 finishes at Texas States! You obviously inspire each other (or can't stand to let the other beat you! 😂).
Waco was the one bright spot in the Texas triplet we just went through. So now a 3rd boring and difficult to view (is it in? is it out? even the announcers and players aren't sure) golf course is being added? Super.
Great job this past week boys! Both of your content has absolutely made me cheer for you both in every tournament! Hope to see you both in Pittsburgh this season!
Congrats on the top 10! Especially impressive since it seems like you definitely haven't been feeling 100% recently. I can't wait to see you win an event soon! And I agree, the holes around the water were really sweet looking.
The course has potential, I played it in the Am tournament. One big issue was the OB lines could not be seen in many places. I'm sure that would be fixed for the pro tour. It wasn't flagged in the Am tournament so people had to guess since it was a brand new course and in some cases we had discs out of bounds that people thought would be safe. As a fan, I guess I would be open to seeing one round at Lake Waco out of the three but that is about it. The one benefit is it could handle a lot more fans on site. Hole 2, 7, and 12 at Lake Waco are pretty great but 12 would need to be lengthened for the pros. Other than that, I think it is nothing special as of right now. Could it be altered, I'm sure it could so I don't want to write it off completely and the local Waco folks that set it up I know worked hard so I know they are invested to making it work too. The bEast is just so iconic and unique and it plays totally different than Lake Waco. The pros that don't throw as far, but are great on technical courses, I'm sure will not like the idea of a round at Lake Waco.
The rule of thumb for tee signs is: The accuracy of a tee sign is inversely proportional to the cost of the tee sign. If it's a nice sign, the chances of it being wrong are high.(and it will STAY wrong) If it's a cheap sign, someone will fix it.
Just equating this to ultimate, no one even wants to watch a windy ultimate game yet disc golf keeps making the decision to play on open, windy bomber courses and throw the same hyzers repeatedly.
Good news: I like the cinematography Bad news: Brodie can't hit the gap Good news: The course looks great for spectating Bad news: Brodie isn't good at identifying "catchy" trees Good news: I'm already hype for the potential of Waco next year
@@BrodieSmith He's only 15 by the way and already playing against the big boys 💪🏼 be ready for him Brodie in about 2 more years you will be playing against him.
You showed up at a potential new course, we can't really call what you attempted as 'Playing' per say, showing up and making a mockery of the sport is far more like it. Ezra Hole2: "You are quite the artist."....BS Artist, but why state the obvious? Goes without saying, but I did anyway, sort of a PSA thang.
@@EzraAderholdDG That course looked like an over-turned strip mining diaster after you guys finished mauling it. Painting, schmainting, I'm saying, via you and Gossage's lead, that Brodenthall is a BS Artist, he's BS painting with a broad stroke shovel. And yes 'I'm good,' so good, you can almost say 'for nothing.' (You been playing well of late, just BS-ing here on the other stuff)

I think adding a second course is huge for WACO in establishing themselves as an even more premier tour stop
I like the 2x2 round format, gives the bombers some love along with the technical players.
Plus I enjoy watching windy disc golf

These practice rounds have made me a big fan of both Brodie and Ezra. Rooting for them at every event now

Aaron too! T8!
Love this trio. Congrats on the top 10s
Congratulations for being in the top 10 this weekend.
Just started to play and follow you and Ezra, great combo!
Welcome aboard!

They can maybe change the grass height
Hole 7 was beautiful! It would be utterly terrifying for an am like me to throw, but could be challenging enough (especially with some wind) for pros.
Nice to see Ryan out there with you guys, looking for opportunities to make the course potentially even better for next year.
Was great to talk to him about the course
Love to see Goose out there with you guys. Let’s turn this Brodie and Ezra bromance into a love triangle!
Two tops and one bottom sounds like a recipe for a sore Goose.
Great job this past week boys! Both of your content has absolutely made me cheer for you both in every tournament! Hope to see you both in Pittsburgh this season!
“You’re gonna try to land in the fairway?” “I did” LOL
Brodie’s cinematic zooming sequence was Hitchcock-esque , like a horizontal version of Jimmy Stewart in Vertigo.
Please no. Not another golf course. I love the current WACO course.
Loving the practice rounds and doubles battles.
Need more Goose content in the practice rounds!

Idk if this is common knowledge or not. But I keep a baseball in my bag for knocking my disc out of trees. It works. 😂
Pumped to see 🪿 on the channel
Nice job on the top 10
Bill Burr making an appearance @4:29 was awesome!
Ya'll played well last weekend! Nice you added Goose again!

Thank you! Will do!
Freakin' Dolly Zooms out here!? I mean, who else is doin' such great cinematography
Nice hand held dolly zoom Marty Brosese
Thanks for the great content. Ordered a zone os by the way….maybe it’ll end up being a get freaky!??
I liked this solely for the cinematography.
It's been settled!! Next time you play a new course,,fly Champ in to tee it up as well !!!!
Ah, no drives on 9?? Loved playing that hole so much.
Maybe because it's a new course, but it's crazy to me how often an official distance is off from the laser distance.

Hole 7 looks gorgeous ❤💚⛳️🥏
The thumb nail on this video is perfect 😂
Hole 7 was scenic af 😮
ya brought along Rickety Cricket!!
That's some sick camera work there, think we've found the new Spielberg 💫💫💫
Brodie dropping banger after banger rn
Trying to keep you guys entertained
Dropping a like for that crazy zoom
Bro is keeping up with the content on the off week and I was sitting here just waiting for Tour Life with Cli…I mean the goat this week lol
You already know!
Aaron Gossage is so fact!" Brodie says nuke off the tee box is not the shot, Aaron replies, if you throw it in the fairway it is!! HAHA!
Hole 7!! That would be an awesome hole to post up on as a viewer
Nice to see Cousin Eddie playing DG with Brodie and Aaron. 😂
It's a shame you're so busy all the time, would love to see yall play more texas courses.
Thumbnail is Great 👏
Spent 2 hours on it
@@BrodieSmith worth it
That was a nice Alfred Hitchcock
Daaaaamn Brodie can’t scoob anymore😢 man used to be the king of scoobs
That intro is me literally every single hole i play
The flights these guys can get out of a Nuke is just insane
🔥
6:58 lmao 😂
The roll test cracked me up
Ezra needs him a mustache.
Don't forget to ice that arm goose, pitch counts gettin high! lmao
Let's go play Bill Allen Memorial
3:10 I carry a baseball in my bag for these situations!
Not a bad idea
What up Buzzz kill!
Lets get it
Get Sneaky Brodie …. You’re welcome
Send me one
I wanna see Aaron's fastball.
Cool course! Like the more open set-up as compared to WACO proper. We all love crushing it off the tee over water! #96591
It makes me want to to cry that Waco might add this for pros. So many nondestinct, generic open golf courses taking over.
Just equating this to ultimate, no one even wants to watch a windy ultimate game yet disc golf keeps making the decision to play on open, windy bomber courses and throw the same hyzers repeatedly.
Is Waco working towards a Worlds bid with two courses?
That cinematic shot had so much potential but got bad real quick
Like and comment for the camera tricks.
Is the scoober magic gone?
That’s a lie, today is not the day after WACO 😂 2025 worlds both WACO courses combined 🎉
I like the idea of 2 courses, but not a fan of the re-purposed golf course deal.
Love the ending
Is this open for us locals to play?!? I am so down to try something new!
Yes it is! Go check it out for sure!
Good news: I like the cinematography
Bad news: Brodie can't hit the gap
Good news: The course looks great for spectating
Bad news: Brodie isn't good at identifying "catchy" trees

Hole 7 is a nightmare , it destroyed my little brother's dream from winning 1st place in MA1 😢
Yikes

The top disc golfers made more money than the top WNBA players last year. You sound like a girl's basketball fan, Colon.
