  • Welcome back to my channel! If you’re new here welcome I'm Emily the owner of Emily Paige Company ☺
    In this week’s video, I’m taking you along with me for the week! Unintentionally, this video was a lot of market prep but that just how my life is right now. Our market season starts on April 21st and lasts up until the week before Christmas. Currently, we have 47 markets on our schedule and will be adding more once we get closer to the holiday season. I’ve been prepping as much as I possibly can to get a start on our upcoming busy market season. In this video, I answer some of the most popular questions I get asked regarding markets (how to find markets, what’s a “good” market, how much inventory to bring, etc.). This will be my fourth market season and I’m always learning on ways to improve my booth layout, checkout experience and overall market experience for my customers. I’m always happy to answer questions and help out other small business owners who are beginners into the market world. I had so much fun filming and editing this video I really hope you enjoy watching!

I’m so grateful for you guys and just know if I could give every single one of you a hug… I totally would (so a virtual hug will do). Currently, as I’m posting this I have 1,671 amazing subscribers!
    I hope you'll hang around on my channel to get to know me more & see more behind the scenes of markets and my life! My next video will be a Market Vlog with German Village Makers Market on April 21st. I already know this market is going to be crazy because it’s their kickoff to the season (and it was crazy last year) so I’ll be taking you guys along with me for the day!
    About the Brand:
    I launched EPC in the corner of my college bedroom in 2020 while being a full time college student. After I graduated, we decided to move to the city and I continued to grow my business full time in our tiny one bedroom apartment. In 2023, we officially moved into a 5,000 sq ft warehouse to continue to grow + expand! While EPC is primarily online we also vend at many pop up markets in Columbus, Ohio.
    Here are a few fun facts about me ☺
    ✿ I graduated college in 2021 from Ohio University with a Bachelors in Community & Public Health.
    ✿ I'm a cat mom to 3- a calico named Ivy, a tortoise named Puff & another calico named opal
    ✿ I love reading mystery/thriller books & I'm a true crime junkie
    ✿ My favorite food is Macaroni and cheese

    What do you use to scan your items when customers are checking out? Placing barcodes on every item I’m sure it’s time consuming on the front end but it looks like it saves you a lot of time while checking out customers.

    • @emilypaigecompany
      @emilypaigecompany  13 дней назад

      I have a card reader! It’s the Shopify Pro Go card reader. It’s not too time consuming but definitely makes my checkout experience faster & easier for me to keep track of all my inventory!

    You could try hanging the bars from over the door wreath hangers?

    • @emilypaigecompany
      @emilypaigecompany  Месяц назад +1

      I’m just going to stick with my racks! After testing it out I’m worried it’ll damage the frame of my canopy with all of the weight. A lot of vendor friends messaged me and said this happened to them. I realized too that having the racks will speed up my set up/ tear down. This is a great suggestion! I think these would work for vendors who sell plants, tote bags & lighter items

    Friend can you tell me more about the winter season for markets! How many months you go without going to markets during the snow season!

    • @emilypaigecompany
      @emilypaigecompany  Месяц назад +1

      Winter is definitely a busy time for markets because it’s close to the holidays! I don’t do markets the weekend before Christmas up until around the end of April! Honestly, there’s not that many events happening during that time frame! Events start up in spring and last until Christmas time 🥰

      I’m worried about the frame of my tent breaking if I kept the bar & hung up clothing on it. I had a few vendor friends reach out to me saying the frame of their tent broke from doing this. Tents are super expensive too 🥲 I was thinking that the racks would actually be faster when it comes to the loading & unloading process which is always a plus!

    • @emilypaigecompany
