    What is a Nibbler?
A nibbler cuts metal… by punching small sections out of the piece of metal. This means you are left with two pieces of metal, along with hundreds of small punched pieces of metal that have been cut out.
Nibblers are fairly slow at cutting log stretches of metal; however, they are incredibly nimble and agile, which lets you cut out delicate shapes and angles from metal sheets. This makes them perfect for fine detail and unusual cuts in metal.
How does a Nibbler achieve a metal cut?
A nibbler consists of the tool body & the head.
The head is made up of a die, a punch & a punch carrier.
The punch moves up and down into the die, and it is the punch that cuts the metal.
The punch carrier carries the punch and ensures it stays aligned and in place.
Over time, punches and dies wear out… a die lasts twice as long as a punch which is why TRUMPF sell packs of punches & dies for their Nibblers, which consist of 2 punches & 1 die - www.claddingma...
