We all know the games had impact, because when we all froze once they died... We stared at Desola's mangled corpse. We stared at Leggett's burst stomach. We stared at Allan and Garnett bleeding on the ground. We stared at Doyle being blown to pieces. We stared at Paige's chest pierced and his mouth bleeding. And the worst part? We still wondered if we could have saved them... If by a miracle, by a chance, by a different choice... At least one of them could go back home. We fall and rise many times. They fall only once...

I swear this game looked way better than this lol its been so long since I've played this game. One of my favorites, I wish I could experience it all over again.
Marsh's death is so realistic. Right when you think its alright, you don't expect him to die, he does. You dont see it, you just find him there. As the battle for the city continues, that section is cleared and so the men are standing around doing what they can, waiting for Baker and mourning their brother. There isn't an onslaught of endless Germans in the city section and it isnt one action packed ride after the other. Nope, that's a lot closer to what war's like.
I first played this game when I was quite young and I tried my best to do most of the tasks by myself, leaving my squadies somewhere behind a corner where no enemy saw them...
What I like about how they handle death in this game is honestly not poetic, not a last stand type of death (not sure about Leggett's death), no last minute speech about fighting a good fight or nothing. Just a sudden explosion or a bullet ending it all. That's just war.
i play bia since the first game .. it's so sad when someone dies , because you know these characters like 5 years and then theyr'e dead.. respect to the people who created such a grad game !
Losing Risner was painful, and losing Allen and Garnett was devastating. When Baker yelled to himself from the next monologue, I felt the same: those last two would’ve been alive if they had just stayed with me.
Ubisoft has to get off their asses on Assassin's creed being made every damn year and make the 4th Brothers In Arms. Seriously. Assassin's Creed is awesome and all, but they over hype the shit out of it to give us a huge disappointment. Work on the 4th BIA Ubisoft. get your shit right
Hell's Highway was clearly building up to Franky's death, and his cutscene is very well done, but for me personally, Friar and Marsh hit me way harder... Just because they were both there in the beginning and had fought with Baker since D-Day.
I remember Desolas death having a lot more flashing lights. Seizure warning levels of flashing lights. Might've been a glitch, but the memory is so vivid. Left me a bit fucked up.
What about Muzza?! XD WE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO SEE HIM ON THE FIRST MISSION. I would've been a happy camper if we could've had a few missions with Muzza and Rivas. Because I think they were supposed to be a sniper team. *I THINK.*
Doyle's death always got to me. He was a cool guy, saved Red's life, and Red went into to Hell to try and save him but he was killed to suddenly, messily, and violently. There was absolutely nothing to do, and absolutely nothing left of him. And going in to that town got Paige killed too. Brutal.

Shit, I’ve played the Hill 30 and not got to finished because it always freezes on the bridge part. Finished Earned in Blood and was pretty amazing but still pointless how there aren’t anymore like these.

Allen and Garnett's deaths were so fucking sad and Frankie's my soul...hell even Marsh's and he was hardly in Hell's Highway....just something about the way his mates sounded when he was just lying in the jeep dead
But also in a way, I was sad that Legette died. He couldn't take it anymore, keeping the secret from the rest of the squad, so he killed himself, in a way I guess he was trying to avenge Allen and Garnett's death?
Yeah and Legget's too even though I hated him. BiA series was so engaing, these video game soldiers felt like friends. Maybe gameplay was a little numb in Road To Hill 30 and Earned in Blood but the storytelling and characters were incredible.
yea but when your trying to pit games to pc and consoles and due to consoles lack of power back then the pc ports were slightly better but the gameplay could do with alot of work I hope gearbox reboot this game and leaves Ubisoft behind and gearbox just publish there own franchise that made them millions to begin with if you make a game like that it's np boner you have to try and continue it's legacy I mean cod has become underrated peaple who say WW2 is burnt out cod is burnt out the old engine is holding back devs and I can't suport cod anymore I rather wait for brothers in arms possible reboot might include the final chapter fingers crossed they totally make it realistic authentic and so gritty it puts cod to shame and the next battlefield to shame for a little while lol

Sgt.risner is and will always be my favorite squad mate
LOL. After 11 years this video pop up in my recommend list. And I miss those days. I still waiting for the Next BIA to release. The story is not complete yet
They need to make a new realistic Brothers in Arms game.
Allen and Garnett's death was so sad😢
And totally avoidable
You can see muzza in Purple Heart lane at the Belgium gate
It is actually a developer oversight and need to fill in the act as random soldier, all their random soldiers characters are dead while crossing Purple Heart Lane.
I remember rth30 when I was 14 - buying it on day 1. it was the most intense ,awesome game that left me nervous and exhilarated. Truly revolutionary and right up until the end of the franchise. Please make another game gearbox no more borderlands.
lol....Ubisoft is so focused on a huge disappointment every year. *cough* looking at you assassin's creed *cough* instead of making the 4th BIA game. I swear, They're shitting out Assassins creed games what..Every damn year? But nope, here's BIA (the best WWII series in my opinion) rotting. *it's been 7 years since the third one was released mind you, That's fucking insane! x'D*
Kønii Chan yes. Imo its the best ww2 game
Too muuch assassin
and we are not even sure if they'll do it well just like the others... maybe it's just going to be another call of duty-like game...
Jesus christ 6 year old comment LOOOL
The 1st fps game i ever played on my psp this is game actually made me care about strategizing and caring about ur squad m8s somthing that both bf and bo will never master i want remastered versions of brothers in arms cause these soilders are like brothers to me the way we connect with them
man when allen and garnet died i cried my eyes out, then i found out legit got them killed and i was so damn confused i didnt know what to think!
''WE WAIT FOR THE GREEN LIGHT!!!!!''
''IF WE WAIT ANY LONGER THEY WONT BE A FUCKING GREEN LIGHT!!!!!!''
best line in a video game ever =)
+Joel Wainwright best line ever it shows how tense it was aswel
Joel Wainwright that line is gold
Man that scene with Legget was very emotional.
You just really hate him for acting out and then just standing there...
Paige's death in earned in blood hit me heavy :(
We all know the games had impact, because when we all froze once they died...
They fall only once...
leggets death made me cry i was seven when i had that game
Me too! haha I played the missions over and over on all differend difficulties hehe
Glebinator Same :D Sadly I didn't get to play EiB until now
Legget was a pussy I wish he had died instead of Allen and garnett
+Kye Vanvalkenburgh sadly we cant change history this did happen tho it makes me angry and very sad i bet poor baker had to live with that vision of allen and garnett dead on ground best WW2 game ever
+jonathan oxlade I hope they make a new one ive been waiting for so long I remember when u could drop grenades inside tanks
What’s more saddening is that Obrieski’s girlfriend is probably crying right about after the news got to the states, it’s was unaware for them to notice the sniper, it shock me when I first played of how he died like no heroic action or heroic moment just died like that.
as real as it gets
where did doyle go?
up, he went up
yea....he flew by a tank shell
He burst into pieces leaving only blood and guts, look at it closely. Only his helmet and gun is left.
And 82nd Airborne division patch Red keep this on his helmet
I was sad to all deaths, Legget's death really was the last straw, i was both crying and mad when encountering the Krauts while trying get the Shermans
R.I.P allen and garnett still in memories .
Muzza; Rizner; Allen and Garnett; Rivas; Desola; Obriesky; Leggett; Page; Doyle; Friar; Franky; Marsh; Cole😢😭💔
rip franky
franky was too young to die i am sad he was my favourite noooo i know he died fuck Nazis
and fuck hitler he killed kids bro murderedkids wtf
Franky's a fool, He sacrificed his life only for A GIRL. She doesn't even speak English.
No he was just trying to act like Romeo from Romeo and Juliet but I still like him dude he is still young
GP J Pieter is young, even way younger than Franky. He died in a more brutal way than franky.
They do an incredible job of making the deaths disturbing, and really show the scope of the war that movies have a hard time recreating .
Anyone else notice that Obrieski had a Southern accent despite being from Poland?
I see you everywhere.
XtraGamingHD I am everywhere
Lotsa Poles in Texas pal.
@@douglaspatrick868 Yeah but in the Brothers in Arms canon, he's an immigrant from Poland. Which means he would not be a speaking with a Southern accent.
@@360Nomad there is a chance that he had just picked up the accent
Fucking amazing game
You forgot about Cole. He died in Hell's highway in a flashback in the second or third level.
0:27 Hartsock (red) says that corrion is hit while muzza got hit and died wut
corrion didn't jump i think
Red probably thought Corrion falling on the plane floor means he got hit by shrapnel
Someone asked me this a while back, but the video I made was to show the deaths of anyone who served in Baker's or Red's squad (the player character from the 3 games). Yes it did show Cole die, but he wasn't an actual member of either squad, he was with Mac at the time of his death. Plus we all know he dies, as he's a true to life character. As for Pierre, not sure who you mean, maybe Peter, the little boy from Hell's Highway?
Also I just got this under the 10 minute time limit lol.
I almost cried when Friar died.He was my favorite character from all 3 games,Page too :(
What I like about how they handle death in this game is honestly not poetic, not a last stand type of death (not sure about Leggett's death), no last minute speech about fighting a good fight or nothing. Just a sudden explosion or a bullet ending it all. That's just war.
Well no dur desola's dead, his guts are hanging out!
Tom Hansen more like his entire body is mangled.
i play bia since the first game .. it's so sad when someone dies , because you know these characters like 5 years and then theyr'e dead.. respect to the people who created such a grad game !
I almost cried when Allen and Garnett died, they are in my top 5 of Brothers in Arms Characters!!!
Losing Risner was painful, and losing Allen and Garnett was devastating. When Baker yelled to himself from the next monologue, I felt the same: those last two would’ve been alive if they had just stayed with me.
i miss playing dis
me too
Nowadays forgotten legendary great shooter games, still got all 3 in mint condition. Epic sentimental stuff yet so fucking brilliantly made!!
Shame on Ubisoft, This Series was Forgotten
Baker had balls just standing there when Obi got shot on top of the church.
Ubisoft has to get off their asses on Assassin's creed being made every damn year and make the 4th Brothers In Arms. Seriously. Assassin's Creed is awesome and all, but they over hype the shit out of it to give us a huge disappointment. Work on the 4th BIA Ubisoft. get your shit right
couldnt have agreed more man, this is an amazing series, and there is been a long time since a very good world war 2 game!
lol
iplyrunescape305 What do you think of Brothers in arms hell's highway?
Hao Luong I thought it was a pretty awesome game
Word in the Ether is that they are going to visit the series again. Battle of the Bulge maybe. I hope they bring it back and grand measure
Urghh, Franky was far too young
what about mccreary
@@BluRay_4 yeah true but at least he wasn't as young as franky and he didn't die
Hell's Highway was clearly building up to Franky's death, and his cutscene is very well done, but for me personally, Friar and Marsh hit me way harder... Just because they were both there in the beginning and had fought with Baker since D-Day.
Man.. Memories since childhood
I remember Desolas death having a lot more flashing lights. Seizure warning levels of flashing lights. Might've been a glitch, but the memory is so vivid. Left me a bit fucked up.
Anyone else wish we could've gotten at least one mission with Rivas?
What about Muzza?! XD WE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO SEE HIM ON THE FIRST MISSION. I would've been a happy camper if we could've had a few missions with Muzza and Rivas. Because I think they were supposed to be a sniper team. *I THINK.*
Hyunnie Dongsaeng
Muzza was in the deleted chapter at camp.
The Arctic Gamer ohhhh riiiiiiiiiight.
Jun-Ji Dongsaeng They were the scout team. I don't know if they're snipers.
TheJackelopeHD ah.
Doyle's death always got to me. He was a cool guy, saved Red's life, and Red went into to Hell to try and save him but he was killed to suddenly, messily, and violently. There was absolutely nothing to do, and absolutely nothing left of him. And going in to that town got Paige killed too. Brutal.
Allen, Garnett and Doyle death very touched me =(
miss this game 💯💯 they needa remaster it
I've always wondered how did they destroy the tank that killed Leggett...
Tom Fullerton When you wake up after being knocked out to go get help from the 2nd Armored the tank is just sitting in the brush with smoke coming out of it.
at the end of the brothers in arms hell's highway wrote that it will continue next time but sequel will never be
2:30 so thats who shot garnett..the evil door
Shit, I’ve played the Hill 30 and not got to finished because it always freezes on the bridge part.
Finished Earned in Blood and was pretty amazing but still pointless how there aren’t anymore like these.
Leggett: you want me fuc*** take me
germans:ok
I feel bad for everyone who died but why Sgt Risner he was just a damn tank commander and one of Baker's best friends
I think its sort of weird how I killed all the germans and rinser was still shooting and somehow he died....but its part of the game so what can you do :P
They really need to remaster the BOTHERS IN ARMS series.
Franky's death almost made me tear up
yes he is the youungest and my favorite fuck all Nazis especially hitler he murdered kids wtf
@@gpj9353 I am two years late, but probably the situation is pretty same in german side too. This is a one goddamn war unfortunately
Dont know what exactly the name of it is, but its one on the Hell's Highways tracks, one of BIA's many, many award winning soundtracks.
i remember when i was a littlekid and me and my dad would play this on the ps2 they need to do a full remaster of the first 3 games hill 30 earned in blood and hells highway if they just used the updated engine to improve the grphics that would be mint for the time i came out it had the best actions of any other game especially stuff like where mac gves baker his colt 45 it is so smooth how it comes out of the holster
brothers in arms had inovation for it's time the first game to have a squad you can control
One of the bets Shooter games I've ever played!
Its not about only killing, its about dying too...
Nope, he's in Hell's Highway. He survived his bullet wound from Earned In Blood.
I miss this game.
I didnt know Friar would die man...
Allen and Garnett's deaths were so fucking sad and Frankie's my soul...hell even Marsh's and he was hardly in Hell's Highway....just something about the way his mates sounded when he was just lying in the jeep dead
In my opinion bia is the best ww2 game ever made.
But also in a way, I was sad that Legette died. He couldn't take it anymore, keeping the secret from the rest of the squad, so he killed himself, in a way I guess he was trying to avenge Allen and Garnett's death?
Brothers in Arms: Anniversary
1:30 one of the most tragic moments in video games I have ever experienced and I've played a lot of games.
Nawishh desola's death was worse
7:06
It's post traumatic stress disorder through the form of flashbacks and his 'ghost' haunting him. Blame the cursed pistol that baker owns.
1:30 the worst death in game
+BLASTER GAMING same
no franky's was ge is too young and the youngestin the whole game
l
still waiting for the final episode to hell's highway
Has anyone noticed in brothers in arms hells highway sergeant baker kind of looks like Matt Damon in most cut scenes.
What about Cole's death
Nate Thompson obreski got smoked
THIS VIDEO WAS MADE 11 YEARS AGO
IDIOT
@@hiimaRandomGamer what’s your point
@@nastynate4916 I'm just saying
paige and doyle was very sad for me
