These cops should not have been allowed to resign they must be held accountable for their criminal actions !!! Prosecute and sue these dirty corrupt criminal cops !!!
Sadly, they would have never been prosecuted and if they were sued and lost, not one cent would come out of their pockets.

1. White people commit more than 70% of all shop-lifting

There's something called "confirmation bias" you might want to look up.

Instead of officers basically receiving paid vacations when they are placed on administrative leave the departments should swap out their guns for trash bags and the officers can pick up trash around their cities. At least then the taxpayers would be getting something for their money during the weeks or months it takes for these things to be "investigated". All these officers should have their police certification revoked so they can't just go do this in another department.
Yes, this is an excellent idea. If the investigated officer is being paid he should be serving the community and picking up trash would be a good way for him to earn his money until his case has been investigated..
it's just a matter of time that citizens will take matters into their own hands to deal with this crap.

This is not isolated to just this law enforcement department. This is not just some "bad apples". This is every law enforcement department. The officers that resigned will be recycled into other law enforcement departments. All of the officers involved should be charged accordingly and prosecuted\sentenced to the maximum extent of the law including lifelong revoking of their certifications and licenses. They should never be able to work in law enforcement again and should never have been allowed to work in law enforcement to begin with.
Then you won't have police. If you end qualified immunity you will end up with federal police. And that is much worse.

If you break your oath and commit civil rights violations then you should no longer be allowed to occupy a position of power. STATES and The Feds need to strengthen their Civil Rights Laws on criminal violations and go after these officers who violate people civil liberties.

There should be a national database for all certified police officers. Their actions should be carried throughout their careers. Doctors have them, teachers have them, dentists have them, why not cops?

It's sad to think people feel they should have to move from their homes , just to get away from racist police officers. Unfortunately I can't think of where they could go to avoid bad police officers because they are everywhere. Perhaps some serious prison time would help,
True story I learned not to go past Rockridge after I was stopped by a cop who was looking for a shoplifting suspect and when he couldn't get the store workers to identify me he started going on rant about "thugs" from Oakland coming there to commit crimes. Luckily his supervisor came to the scene and was really nice he even told me to file a report because what that officer did was unnecessary he allowed his personal feelings to get in the way of him doing his job properly. I can understand wanting to keep crime out of your city however when you're being told someone is innocent and you continue to push a narrative you have that's when it becomes a profiling.
Nevermind the clean record you have you're from another city therefore you're obviously here to commit a crime it's not like you could be employed in this city.
The only thing that will happen is the taxpayers will show out some big bucks…. And these crooked cops will just move on with their careers or retirement on the taxpayer dime as usual.

Yeah, the cops that resigned will just take a job down the road, where they'll be welcomed w/ open arms. 40% of the department is implicated, and those who haven't been were aware of the dirty ones. There has to come a time when you just terminate the entire department and start over.
Maybe you haven’t heard of cops being arrested and in some cases sent to jail. Things are slowly (too slowly)but gradually changing regarding corrupt cops and I don’t think they will be offered jobs in the future and if they are part of their salary will be going to the people who are going to sue them. There lives will gradually be ruined at least that’s my opinion.

Letting any of these officers resign is a stain on this community. They are paying their pensions, medical care, etc until they go to hell, where they deserve. Unfortunately this is just a small stain on our country,as we know know there are many more departments that allow this to continue, and those also will live off their pensions until they to are delivered to hell.

Start polygraphing cops due to it being a position of trust.
All law enforcement and agents/employees should have to wear bodycams, every single one of them, and their bodycams should be their timecards.
No audio/video, no pay, and a reprimand for every second of their scheduled shift not on camera.
That audio/video should be automatically streamed to a cloud that is overseen by civilians and all audio/video public by default that the cops, city, county, sheriffs, state, have to apply to the federal government to have restricted.
I hope these racists cops get fired. They hurt all of us in the long run. They need to go.
I worked with an old guy from Antioch through the entire 1990's and he used to tell me all about how Antioch, Baypoint, and Pittsburg were the largest center of the KKK in the East Bay (in not all of NorCal) in the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's. It's super racist there.

Wow . I live there back in the late 90 and early 2000s . That was the only time in my life that I was ever pulled over for B.S . Doing a 36 in a 35 was the reason, please. Hope they pay $$$$
All law enforcement officers need to be under 24 hr. Surveillance nationwide.......all forms of communication......

Additionally, why didn't the mother know that it was a terrible situation before she saw the texts, when only her two black children were arrested? I hope she speaks up sooner if things happen again and that she apologized to her kids. Sorry but that's how I feel about it.
