The story behind the song:
Hi, I’m Kaari (pronounced car-ee), the singer-songwriter behind Kaari Lines Music. I’ve been writing music since I was 13, though I never imagined I’d actually record my songs.
After the birth of my third child, I went through intense postpartum depression, feeling isolated and disconnected from both loved ones and God. In my darkest moments, I wrote "Waves" to capture my experience. As the song took shape, I realized that God had been with me all along, guiding and supporting me.
Inspired by "Waves," I kept writing and am now recording a full album that delves into the ebb and flow of connecting with God while facing mental illness.
My mission is to reach every person struggling with mental illness and remind them they’re not alone. Our connection with God may waver during tough times, but He is always there, and He hasn’t abandoned us.
