May I ask how long you've been playing for? - That exact solo is a bit of a goal post to me: If I could ever play that, I'd have reached everything I thought possible and more! Ordered guitar yesterday, let's go! Thanks for the video, SEEING it played confirmed the difficulty to be pretty much exactly (ie high!) as I pictured it from hearing it!
@@mcbrite I've been playing for a little over 20 years now, and if it's any consolation, I cover songs substantially more difficult than this one - so Usurper shouldn't be ridiculously difficult to learn for the most part. Some of the solo parts are a bit tricky.
Oh snap! Is the red thing on your desk a Focusrite?! I think I URGENTLY need one of those (guitar is IN THE MAIL!), but I really don't know which one... They cost close to each other and all I really care about is sound quality, which they don't seem to mention on the amazon page? Right now I only have the guitar coming, so it's stings on a stick for me, unless I decide on a way to go soon!
@@mcbrite yeah that's a Focusrite Scarlett Solo (2nd Gen), it's an older interface but it's what I record all my guitar with. If simply recording guitar is what you're looking to do, pretty much any budget audio interface will do well, including the Scarlett Solo series
I actually use the Neural DSP Plini X plugin to record all my covers. In terms of effects I'm using on my presets: For the clean channel I'm using a really toned down Overdrive just to push the tone a bit, and on top of that I'm just using a tiny bit of reverb, and a bit of Chorus with most of it's settings rolled off so you can just barely hear it in the mix. For the high gain preset all I use is a noise gate set fairly tight, and an Overdrive with gain at zero/level at max, for a clean boost to the signal. For the solo part all I did was roll the noise gate off a bit.
Nice work 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks, so much, dude! I really appreciate all the support!

@@RPMguitar92 First thing I'm noticing while learning: Longer nails on the Fretboard-hand are a no-go... 😀
Not even that long! Maybe 2.5mm!

Could you tab out the solo 🙏 I’m having trouble following the sweeping
KMAC, IS THAT YOU
Hey! I’m basically new to guitar and I wanna learn this song! Which pedal effects did you use? :)

@ this is very informative, I appreciate it so much!
how did you learn to play the solo, it’s what I’m focusing on rn but I can’t for the life of me
The guitarist for the band, Jay Sambuco, has a tutorial for the solo on his RUclips page. His comment is the pinned comment under this video.
Lord please forgive this man
