This whole "ok boomer" thing seems like a gen z thing almost exclusively to be honest. It does have a distinctly whiny, angsty tone to it. You know; the way all teenagers through the entirety of history have behaved and still somehow manage to think that they are entirely unique in their experience. I'm technically a millennial since I was born in 88 but I'm aware enough of recent history to know that the people who pioneered the environmental sciences were boomers. I mean sure, there are a lot of them that didn't get wiser with their years or even aged with grace, but in reality we owe the foundation of every good thing we have now to them. And a lot of bad stuff as well, sure, but you can be damned sure that when gen z's start hitting their 50's and 60's their children and grandchildren will inherit their pile of mistakes too. And that those gen z's will act just as ignorant about their mess as some boomers do now. Vapid, uninformed people in the mainstream will be vapid, uninformed people in the mainstream regardless of generation. Jocks, Chads, Thots and Diggers crop up in every generation. The gen z's have their share of mediocre numbskulls too, as do us millennials. It's simply part of the human condition. It can be partially cured by education (provided you don't live in a capitalist nightmare or a communist hellscape where quality education is at a premium), but never truly eradicated. Stupid may wear a new face but it never truly goes away.

You misunderstand implications of a lifetime of internet upbringing, this might come back to bite me, but I don't think our generations will be quite as out of touch as boomers
