Palm Beach to Santo Domingo on a Cessna Skylane 182

  • On September 22, 2022, we set out to fly Sharky's 182 from Palm Beach International to Santo Domingo for a fresh paint job. We timed the trip directly between Hurricane Fiona and Hurricane Ian, we got lucky with timing. It's a long edit and not normally in my style, but wanted to remember the trip and share it with friends. Enjoy!

    Hope you like staying in my country, as Dominican pilot located in Florida , i have to say that what you just accomplished is one of my big bucket list to do

    MDJB is my home airport. Is it your first time crossing the pond? I've made that cross a couple times on all kind of pistons from C172 and SR22 to PA34 and DA42.... I hope you enjoy DR

    Did you have to pay customs fees and clear at Exhuma since you just stopped for fuel?

      Paint job was delayed several months, but she’s back! Nice people in the DR. Similar paint scheme.
