I wanted to share what I learned. Taking a garden hose with a high pressure tip gets bristles spotless. From bottom of bristle out to top. Cleans them spotless. I found this out after hours of using a tooth pick digging hair and lint out of bristles. Takes about 5 mins to clean bristles brand new. Maybe you have tried it. Maybe not. But you will love it if you never done this. It’s absolutely amazing.
Sounds great, but that's a solution that requires much more resources for some people. And the fact you can't really perform this action year round (snow, ice, extreme heat, rain, etc.).
Nice that you found the problem👌I have seen in some cases the whole motor housing warped out of shape because someone has run their bagless vacuum too long with clogged filter(s). Motor in those cases has been running so hot that it caused the warping. Looks like this only needs that gasket fix.
I absolutely cannot remove the rod from out of the rotating brush. He said to just twist it a little bit until it comes loose, but I'm using all my strength and it's not budging and I'm using pliers for extra force..
Hope that problem is just that simple. You have great luck with curb finds. Before you found that loose bit I was wondering if it was a hose or even the suction relief valve stuck open.
@@VacLab Thank you for the reply! I guess I can start taking it apart. Will it be self explanatory once I do? No one has a video up showing how to...... :( Is it worth it. It was a roommate I think who did it.
I tried to fix mine with the same problem but gave up when I could t figure out how to get into the thing. Now I just wind the cord around the vacuum cleaner.
do you ever take apart the cyclone? it's fairly simple to do and wif you're going to the trouble of disassembling everything I don't know why you would skip unscrewing 6 screws to take apart the cyclone itself. There are nooks and crannies in there that you can't see if you don't take the whole thing apart
@@VacLabI mean specifically for any of the hoover that have the "cyclonic assembly" that you refer to @5:00 . Have you ever taken the inner plastic cyclone/tornado apart? I haven't seen you do it in any of your hoover teardowns or cleanings

I’m actually surprised it’s still in good condition that is only a two year vacuum and they still make that vacuum I like curb find vacuums
I just bought mine last night, same model 😂

Yes, but can be complicated.

If you are very mechanically inclined, you'll figure it out. Watch out for the spring tension though.

Does the Roller have a number on it?. I can't find the number to replace mine
Last time I looked, it was around $200 USD.

I'm going to put it in the airflow box, then probably dispose of it.
