Upper Manhattan and the Bronx have world class views. The Hudson is mighty, the Palisades incomparable!

2501 Palisade Avenue called the Villa Charlotte Brontë. John J. McKelvey, a lawyer, writer and developer, built it in 1926 and advertised it in The New York Times for anyone whose “soul is hungry for the majesty of the river” - a fair description even today.

If that house is in a non train horn section it is pure gold.

The is so stereotyped I get upset. I grew up in riverdale. I currently live in florida, but I still go back home to the whitehall visit my family. Many great memories for me.

Great video!! Is Spuyten Duyvil an area that welcomes non-white people, and black people in particular? My wife and I had considered buying a home in this neighborhood, but we received the impression that some residents were definitely *not* happy about seeing black people walking around. Some Latino friends reported a similar experience.

You're 100% right. I was born and raised in the Bronx. Moved out 10 years ago but still work there. They hate when you call Riverdale The Bronx. And this dude that responded to your comment is a $5 Indian. I'm Mashantucket Pequot. There is NO SUCH THING as a White (Pale) Native of Turtle Island (North America)

@@thecurtray Don't let racism prevent you from integrating. The neighborhood is gorgeous and they will get used to Black faces as long as we show them we are no different than them. You have every right to live there.
