    Never heard this guy before but he speaks very well. I'm an Arsenal fan and have a big soft spot for Everton for a number of reasons. To see where you are now vs where you were under Moyes circa 2008 it's night and day. Back then Everton went toe to toe with ANYONE and were arguably the toughest mid table opponent. Going to Goodison was brutal for any team and you guys had the best never say die attitude of any team I've ever seen. But now? You're unrecognisable in comparison. It's such a shame. The ethos from the top down is gone, the recruitment has been shocking for years and I only say this judging by the players you've lost in recent seasons but back in the day players would lay down in traffic for your club but these days it's like they are happy to jump ship the moment a different club comes sniffing. There's no pride amongst the players (Coleman and Pickford aside). I hope your fortunes change before it's too late. Everton should never be in a relegation battle.

    This is not the first and won’t be the last time a team has thrown away a 2-0 lead. This is not a time to panic, especially with a host of teams on 1 point and only 3 points behind Utd. Dyche is one of the very few managers who has proven himself with teams that can survive relegation. • @paulharris3457
      @paulharris3457 12 дней назад

      I don't think they haven't took pre season seriously enough, if anything I'd say he probably runs them into the ground I can't see any other reason they'd look so shattered and start so badly every single season and that's at every club he's been at, Moyes used to start badly as well it just looks like they're putting too much emphasis on fitness and not enough on tactics etc. that's probably why we finish the season strongly when they've levelled out

      @@pauldavies1710 yeah I get that, but that's also my point, not Simms but the thing about the Coventry game. The players are being run that much with these gaffers days and other old fashioned shite that they're knackered when he has them playing low quality opposition and he doesn't have them working on tactics instead he puts out holgate and maupay who were never gona be here after the window shut. The bit about the shite and man utd isn't really relevant in my opinion we'd never generate the same level of interest and imagine the damage it'd do to us if we got turned over heavily by either of them pre season. But that's only my opinion, I wouldn't say bin dyche now but he's got to be on thin ice with the rubbish he's been coming out with after each defeat

      @pauldavies1710 12 дней назад

      @@paulharris3457 I agree your point about the harsh training regime and I also wonder how much that has affected our injury situation. However, I can’t see that playing lower opposition is good preparation for that first game. Man United for example played Rosenberg, Real Betis, Arsenal, Liverpool and then the Man City shield game and we had Sligo, Salford, Coventry, Preston and Roma. I do take your point about confidence if we had played better opposition but I’m not sure losing to Salford and Coventry gives you much confidence. And whilst the 2-3 Bournemouth mess was down to poor substitution decisions it was also a lot to do with lack of confidence especially after the first two batterings we had taken.

    • @paulharris3457
      @paulharris3457 11 дней назад +1

      @@pauldavies1710yeah I'd agree with that as well. To be honest, and without wanting to dig him out, just the sight of Michael Keane at centre half seems to drain the confidence out of the rest of the team. We saw it last year as well, shipped all kinds of goals and as soon as he was dropped and Branthwaite came in we stopped conceding and went on to have the 4th best defence in the league. Hopefully he'll be back soon and we can start to improve. I sometimes feel sorry for Keane because he can play quite well but his positioning is non existent and he's always got a mistake in him

    From a couple of guys enjoying a chat about Everton and football, to being live on sky sports news as true ambassadors of our great club. You really have done so well growing the channel and are the voice for the fans.
    The club should have better representation leading the way with the narrative,if they aren't going to do it ,then having you raising the issues on sky for everyone to see is so great, keep going, keep growing and hopefully better times to speak about will be coming soon!!

    Where we really in a relegation battle last year? Thought we were 14 points clear even with an 8 point deduction? 🤔

    Good interview, summarized the problems from Saturday and at Everton in general very well and concisely.

    We need people in our club who represent Everton the way Ped and Baz do...they're an absolute credit.

    Spot on Ped, the players play the game but the fact that the manager put the loss squarely on the players in post game press conference was spineless. Just look when the subs were made vs. When the goals went in to give you an idea of who was mostly to blame for the loss.

    Good analysis from Ped , I agree the buck stops with Dyche / Moshiri - however I’d hoped he’d mentioned just how well we played for 87 mins - having witnessed it myself I think more emphasis should be our overall performance, which by the way was one our best for years 💙. UTFT !!

    Despite Dyche's appalling substitutions, the players still shouldn't have let that happen.

    Was a massive fan of Dyche but if you cast your mind back Gerrard was sacked by Villa early with more points than us. Look at them now. Our board will wait and wait and eventually sack someone then hold interviews and await Moshiri to get back from his hideout. The idea that they can then make the right decision after this pointless process is hope springs eternal on steriods

    Nice to watch this. Personally I have been totally unable to watch the game again, or the highlights, or look at the league table. I do however, watch Toffee T.V. because the presenters generally express the same views that I have. I think that you (Ped) was brilliant in that interview, you hit all the appropriate points in a very reasonable and restrained manner. I assume Sean Dyche will watch it, and hopefully learn from it. Sad that Ped and people llike him could see what our manager couldn't, and I like Dyche. A shout out to Baz also from Toffee T.V. he is a brilliant Evertonian too. Thanks lads, you do us all proud.

    I have to give full credit to where it's due, that was so well voiced. Couldn't have said any better myself.
    Everton football club should always be in the mix, to attract the best players and be competitive in all competitions. But we're not, we can't even get a Leeds player to come to Everton. That's laughable and shocking. Something drastic needs to change for us. 🙏

    You just expect him to start 90 minutes for the whole season? It doesn’t work like that, how could he have known his whole team would collapse like that?
