Do you know if you can record 32 but float on your sound devices AND output to the camera? Or does it have to be set to 24 bit? Using a mixpre3ii here.
Do you prefer this or the pocket 6k. I have the 6k but i'm debating about this one. the autofocus is great but i wonder if the 6k quality is just better
Different looks. Do you shoot in BRAW often? Personally I'm a fan of large format, full frame and larger. Sony made huge gains with the A7S3, further refined with the FX6, but that's a different animal. Do you need autofocus? Do you need to deliver Prores? Do you have full frame glass? So many variables. All these cameras have gotten really good lately, so all the other elements add up quickly.
@@cinemak1759 I do feature film so yeah RAW is always better. I love the autofocus on the sony it makes everything so much easier but raw, 12 bit is always a plus. I was wondering if you played with both to compare. i never played with the sony but Braw for feature film is amazing
@@cinemak1759 and I have the sigma 20 art and 50mm art , 24-105 art series. that,s always my to go lenses. I was just wondering if it was worth selling everything to go with the sony a7s3 but maybe it'S not
@@cinemak1759 Yeah, Atomos and/or Sony made it super annoying. If you have Ninja V you can use it with A7sIII but not with FX6 and the opposite with the Shogun 7, even though both have HDMI and HD-SDI inputs (Ninja V via an extension module).
@@Photographicelements Nope. Ninja V can’t record RAW over HD-SDI, HDMI only. I own that HD-SDI module, it does not support RAW recording. Atomos says it’s not capable of handling RAW data. It can record regular HD-SDI signals but not RAW.
great review, I appreciate the thoroughness of your review. Cheers
One of best best reviews.
Nice clear, concise, non shouting, non self obsessed blabbering teenage 'iv used it for a day' youtube review.
Thanks 👍

Unfortunately the Shogun can't record Raw from A7sIII.
I stand corrected- haven't tested RAW on A7S3 yet...

@@Photographicelements I see what you did. Deleting your previous answer and my reply with it was a dick move.
