In gaming, they see an opportunity to re-educate the most problematic group of people in modern society. They aren't deliberately trying to destroy gaming, they are trying to "improve" it and use it as a propaganda channel. But the archetypal gamer (the young male autist) is largely resistant to the propaganda techniques that they use successfully on other groups in society. The damage to the medium is more of a secondary effect stemming from the fact that they fundamentally don't understand gaming and are unmoored from the mandate of Capitalism: make your customer happy. When you're at the bottom, the only way to go is up. I'm one of the most pessimistic people I know, mostly because I'm aware of what's going on. I love that Game Science stood up against the tide, but about 40 hours later Wukong is just an "okay action RPG" to me. The level of detail is incredible. I haven't enjoyed China lore probably since Dynasty Warriors on the PS2. The combat just got stale for me late game. To each their own, I guess. Either way, I bought a copy and did my part. IGN can kick rocks.

Ptolemy's dream game immediately reminds me of the Conan stories "The Pool of the Black One" and "The Black Stranger". Wish I'd see something like that one day. Though it really doesn't need to be a soulslike at this point. I thoroughly recommend the entire Conan cycle to the modern reader, as well as most of Robert E. Howard's stories in general. They are a fantastic and terribly refreshing read in the current year, and most of them are public domain and freely available to give you a healthy dose of unrepentant basedness. Virtually every single Howard protagonist is a 6'5" 220 lb Arуan who's terribly intelligent, wields a greatsword with deadly skill, and stops at nothing to destroy the pathetic weaklings that try to fuck with him. They really don't write books like they used to a century ago...

The initial couple of Conan stories didn't impress me much, but I persevered and am certainly glad I did. Project Gutenberg Australia has everything of Howard's that's public domain, and there are a bunch of "republished" editions on amazon that have all the public domain stories scraped and collated into a single ebook for $1 or less. I went with one of those, it was a collection of everything Howard wrote, not just Conan - his other fiction is good too, and the boxing series and comedy westerns in particular were surprisingly fun.

Can't comment on work done by other authors. The first few stories weren't very gripping, but persevering through was worth it. There are collections of all of Howard's public domain work available online, and I'm content with having selected one of them, as his non-Conan fiction is quite good too, his boxing series and westerns were really fun.

In all honesty, this game has brought me mixed feelings just like Stellar Blade, on one hand I applaud it for not bending the knee to "western-journalist" standards but on the other nothing about this game looks interesting or innovative. It functions like a soulslike which is about as new of a concept as the sun rising from the East, and it frankly looks more like an Unreal Engine tech demo than a fleshed out visual world. At the end of the day, this game will probably just be shovelware slop that did one good thing in it's short lifespan before being snuffed out by irrelevancy.

the content is good and correct but I would argue some semantic differences. That the good parts of China that we are seeing are also what defines the history of "Marxism" and "bolshevism". I think people forget who really owns Fromsoft. I highly recommend you check out Wanted Dead, it's dev team consists of the creators of DOA and Ninja Gaiden as well as Bloodborne and Sekiro devs. It's by far the best action game to come out in decades.

Now I am by no means opposed to attractive protagonists and character in videogames, and I have no issue with Eve's design or numerous skimpy outfits. However from a game design perspective it's the same as most modern AAA games. Unnecessary skill grinding/unlocking, large maps with little to no meaningful content, and horrendous pacing. Gameplay wise its mechanically simple and offers nothing innovative, no are it's systems anything above average. So why did everyone buy it and Praise it? Simply put it's got an attractive female character with lingerie styled outfits, and giggle physics. So therefore it is anti woke...so people bought it...not because it was actually a great game. Need I remind, that this game was published by Sony, which means they just made a shit ton of money, to make up for their losses from their woke games. As gamers, we are constantly being played.
The latest Shōgun adaptation to me embodies that British chaddery you speak of. The remake credit where it's due was excellent. John Blackthorne always had me smiling. But the mythology in that novel had been around for thousands of years, even before Buddha was known in China. All the creatures, deities or demons were house hold names. Babies nowadays heard these names in their lullabies. Babies born 1000 years ago were put to sleep by the same stories. Now, that’s a culture, a civilization. That’s not something can be easily destroyed.

When you're at the bottom, the only way to go is up. I'm one of the most pessimistic people I know, mostly because I'm aware of what's going on. It's so bad right now and we're all demoralized but ironically I've started developing a white pill perspective. Because all this is so extreme and egregious, I can't help but think "they" will be their own downfall. It's so bad that everyone notices. And as delusional and psychotic as these creeps are, they know their work is poor. I love that Game Science stood up against the tide, but about 40 hours later Wukong is just an "okay action RPG" to me. The level of detail is incredible. I haven't enjoyed China lore probably since Dynasty Warriors on the PS2. The combat just got stale for me late game.

I thoroughly recommend the entire Conan cycle to the modern reader, as well as most of Robert E. Howard's stories in general. They are a fantastic and terribly refreshing read in the current year, and most of them are public domain and freely available to give you a healthy dose of unrepentant basedness. Virtually every single Howard protagonist is a 6'5" 220 lb Arуan who's terribly intelligent, wields a greatsword with deadly skill, and stops at nothing to destroy the pathetic weaklings that try to fuck with him. They really don't write books like they used to a century ago...

@@riverblack123 There are different proposed reading orders, but I just went with the order of publishing. The initial couple of Conan stories didn't impress me much, but I persevered and am certainly glad I did.
Project Gutenberg Australia has everything of Howard's that's public domain, and there are a bunch of "republished" editions on amazon that have all the public domain stories scraped and collated into a single ebook for $1 or less. I went with one of those, it was a collection of everything Howard wrote, not just Conan - his other fiction is good too, and the boxing series and comedy westerns in particular were surprisingly fun.

Can't comment on work done by other authors. The first few stories weren't very gripping, but persevering through was worth it.

In all honesty, this game has brought me mixed feelings just like Stellar Blade, on one hand I applaud it for not bending the knee to "western-journalist" standards but on the other nothing about this game looks interesting or innovative. It functions like a soulslike which is about as new of a concept as the sun rising from the East, and it frankly looks more like an Unreal Engine tech demo than a fleshed out visual world. At the end of the day, this game will probably just be shovelware slop that did one good thing in it's short lifespan before being snuffed out by irrelevancy.

the content is good and correct but I would argue some semantic differences. That the good parts of China that we are seeing are also what defines the history of "Marxism" and "bolshevism". The western cultural war is left-liberal and almost right-wing in its capitalization on everything individualism (gender, racial identities etc). China and the CPC are simply matured forms of communism and are thus not aimed at the naive destruction of all traditional norms. They are cold, hard communists -- not western woke liberals. The cultural revolution in China's history is a bit more complicated than what we are experiencing in the west now, and even the communist party is against it the same way Lenin wrote against "left wing communism".

I highly recommend you check out Wanted Dead, it's dev team consists of the creators of DOA and Ninja Gaiden as well as Bloodborne and Sekiro devs. It's by far the best action game to come out in decades.

I think what bothers me is that this whole woke nonsense has created an opposing force that is just as nonsensical.
Take Stellar Blade for example. I'm not here to say it's a terrible game, but it's not particularly good either. So why is it so praised?
Now I am by no means opposed to attractive protagonists and character in videogames, and I have no issue with Eve's design or numerous skimpy outfits. However from a game design perspective it's the same as most modern AAA games. Unnecessary skill grinding/unlocking, large maps with little to no meaningful content, and horrendous pacing. Gameplay wise its mechanically simple and offers nothing innovative, no are it's systems anything above average.
So why did everyone buy it and Praise it? Simply put it's got an attractive female character with lingerie styled outfits, and giggle physics. So therefore it is anti woke...so people bought it...not because it was actually a great game.
Need I remind, that this game was published by Sony, which means they just made a shit ton of money, to make up for their losses from their woke games.

Chinese culture is not easily destroyed, whether by Cultural Revolution or other movements. The Cultural Revolution only lasted for 10 years and ended in the mid 1970’s, which was almost fifty years ago. Out of all five thousand years of ancient history, or 200 years of modern history, why was that particular 10 years so important overall?
Why do western ppl hold on to that particular decade as an example of their knowledge in Chinese History? Why don’t ppl pick out any other horrible ten years to focus on, just to show some distinctions in scholarly studies?
The back story of Wukong might be a novel written about 600 years ago. But the mythology in that novel had been around for thousands of years, even before Buddha was known in China. All the creatures, deities or demons were house hold names. Babies nowadays heard these names in their lullabies. Babies born 1000 years ago were put to sleep by the same stories.
Now, that’s a culture, a civilization. That’s not something can be easily destroyed.

It looks kinda blurry (1080p) and uses medium pc settings, but runs at 60 fps just fine. Not bad tbh.
