How is it that this entire cast is so talented?! Not only the leads but the ensemble too, I’ve seen so many versions of this song where the ensemble drowns out the actress playing Chris so it’s really nice to see a production that looks this professional. Also the direction for this song was amazing!
I want to chime in and say I really like how they portrayed Tommy Ross. He has shades kindness and purity, but his blatant homophobia and total indifference to Chris's bullying makes him one of the bad guys, and by horror standards, he had to go.

Ok I love everything about this performance-the choreography, everyone’s voices, the acting, the girl in the purple top and striped skirt-but what made me giggle was Billy’s shirt saying “This is what awesome looks like”
I love the real moment at the end where we see the real Chris. The Chris that is hurting and needs to be mean to make herself feel better. We get to see how Chris knows her actions are wrong but she also knows if she stops she will lose her popularity. This is just how I played into the last lines

I just found out that when my dad was like 12 years old he went to see the original Carrie movie at the cinema. Is really weird because I am 12 years old now and I am completely obcessed with the Carrie the musical. Probably it's a coincidence but I think is really weird.
As someone who is fair in life, not saying any of you aren’t but- I watch Riverdale, and I love this singer so fricking much and I love Camila/Veronica singing it as well. Stage: But it’s harder to perform on a stage, but that’s not an excuse obviously. And her voice suited the song so well, but with the high notes it did sound forced. Riverdale: Camila obviously slayed the song, but she couldn’t hit the highest note and this singer did. She was amazing though and suited the role more. But she was also auto-tuned. So you can’t compare them.
Camilla has no strength in her vocals. Most riverdale cast members can sing fine but none of them have musical theater voices. Camilla is just passable to me due to the excessive auto tune and lack of strength or power in her vocals

I’ve only seen this production in terms of the musical so I don’t know if she’s written that way in the script or whether it was just the requirements for this particular production. Her character in other forms seems better written and less forced, like the book and the original movie. And besides, I don’t think the way she acts is too farfetched if I’m going to be honest, I know lots of people with a similar personality to Chris.
Definitely by professionals, not on Broadway. This was the Seattle production from 2013. Kendra Kassebaum and Alice Ripley were in this cast as Miss Gardner and Margaret respectively.

@@amie7148 I think mostly the character is just written poorly. Nobody acts that way in real life, her overacting is what the character requires, but that's the problem I think.

I’ve only seen this production in terms of the musical so I don’t know if she’s written that way in the script or whether it was just the requirements for this particular production. Her character in other forms seems better written and less forced, like the book and the original movie. And besides, I don’t think the way she acts is too farfetched if I’m going to be honest, I know lots of people with a similar personality to Chris.

Definitely by professionals, not on Broadway. This was the Seattle production from 2013. Kendra Kassebaum and Alice Ripley were in this cast as Miss Gardner and Margaret respectively.
