Hear me out: Basement Kitchen.
Now that Briar is living in a large castle she deserves to have some butler to deal with things like cooking, so we can have the servant quarters/kitchen in the basement, so that it does not effect the amazing design of the house

Yes ! There could be a simple ladder leading to it in the back right corner, and it could be decorated as a pantry of sorts, with one of the old looking fridges so she could access the inventory of the one in the basement !

It's a nod to her name and to her "occupation." 😊

Theory about the lump of clay: Corbin left it behind after the wedding chaos so he would have an excuse to come back even though Briar is a witch and they're supposed to be enemies but he loves her despite her witchiness

Don't be afraid to build! It's fun to watch too. If you make the courtyard just a touch smaller in the back you will have space for a kitchen and dining room area!
Corbin becoming a witch after being a witch hunter is a book I desperately need to read
i recommend “powerless” by lauren robert’s 🤭 the front of the book literally says “hunted. hunter. destined for each other” not exactly witch but magical powers and a hunger games element too ✨ and the second book releases in july 👀

You need to have piles of books EVERYWHERE in all the corners of the house. And a ton of stuff. Fill it to looked VERY lived in
What if you did a glass roof for the courtyard? Then it would make sense to have the open doors and keep Belle the chicken much cozier! Fill it with decorative plants (maybe funky ones from realm of magic or get to work to make it look weird and magical?) and benches and bookshelves to combine her passions
And a giant chandelier over the courtyard would be amazing
And maybe a pond or a fountain (like in between the stairs ?)
One day, this castle could become Briar's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry lol. A safe place for spellcasters to learn and grow

I honestly love how this storyline has progressed. Briar finally gets to have her castle, a good man and maybe even have her powers not be secret. Really happy for her and cannot wait to see how this story ends.
I love how the castle is coming along so far (even if it's a bit of a chaotic mess for now)! And for convincing the king and queen to allow witches, maybe you could gather a council of witches to do diplomacy with the castle and have a huge dinner party at some point where they try to prove themselves as useful for the kingdom (showing off their practical spells and whatnot)

It would be cool to see Briar join a coven of sorts! She doesn’t know many other witches but now that she’s a bit more comfortable in her witchiness, maybe she reaches out to a coven. They could also help her appeal to the king and queen to make being a witch legal😅
Oh maybe make a club with a bunch of witches, like her other wizard friend. That'd be cool.
I was thinking "thick" walls... As in servant walk ways throughout the castle! It would take up room and possibly make things also optionally spooky. Love hidden rooms and walkways. OH! You could use the secret rooms and hallways as an underground railroad for Spellcasters.

Maybe he was afraid to talk about his career because he secretly wanted to become a witch/wizard so that's why he was afraid or ashamed to talk about his career, but jumped at the chance to become magical

Does the Sims have tapestries you can place on the walls? Because many old castles had tapestries everywhere to help retain the heat and provide something interesting to look at instead of bare walls.
I imagine in her world that the castle magically builds itself! she wakes up and the castle has just changed

your castle actually reminds me a lot of Vorontsov Palace in Alupka (Crimea), the palace itself was designed by Edward Blore (the same dude who also designed Buckingham Palace)
Vorontsov Palace has winter greenhouse inside the palace and a huge garden outside
if it sounds interesting i highly recommend looking up the interior pictures, it might provide some inspiration
He was a witch hunter because that was the only way he could even get close to magic before, but as soon as he found out she could make him magical, he knew that he wanted this more. Maybe he didn't want to talk about changing careers before because he didn't know what he wanted in his life other than magic (and her). And now that she's been teaching him, she can start a magic school to train other witches.

would it be more historically accurate to have a HUUUUGE lavish bedroom and a really luxurious bathtub as a part of the bedroom (but a divider can be put there? not sure if it will interfere with gameplay)

You can have a library, a sitting rooms, a chess room, everything has it's own room in a castle 😍 also this open floorplan is so insane to me, do you know how cold and windy old castles already are? Jk 😂

Clay can represent balance, harmony, renewal, and reincarnation. As the element of earth, clay is abundant in nature and the process of making ceramics uses all four elements. Clay can also be recycled in its raw state by managing its moisture levels, which can symbolize rebirth and infinite possibilities.
Maybe corbin uses enchanted clay passed down through the generations of witch hunters as a way to keep himself pure of heart, and maybe he gives some clay to his potential "clients" to see if they are pure of heart before he begins any hunts. Kind of like a vibe check of the people trying to hire him. Fredricks vibe check failed and when he saw him getting closer to Briar , thats when corbin was overwhelmed with the feeling to protect her and fought him.

Before you added the coop to the courtyard, it kind if reminded me of one of those old pools that are almost completely empty with just that small layer of algae and water in the bottom and algae growing on the sides😂 I have no idea why I felt the need to mention that but I did.
I liked the other coulours more. A witch is a way of living. Not a set of colors.
And In a place where witschcraft can sentence you to death. Isn't It more logic that she still a litlte bit secretive about is.
I liked the classy look of the libery.

I feel like we missed an opportunity for a ballroom. She is royalty so why not have a ballroom?

The constant interrupting of the story to build is so frustrating. Im this close to just giving up on the series because of it. U didnt use to do this, why change FOR THE WORSE?! Urgh!

Clay theory - Corbin was always hinting that he was actually interested in witchcraft because he carried a lump of clay to make poppets with. Leaving it at the wedding the way he did was a hint to Briar that he'd created poppets of her and Frederick to influence how badly the wedding day went!
I think you could put a fountain or pool in the courtyard. Lots of plants and just make it an oasis. And either have belle in there or over by the greenhouse for the plants.

Hear me out: Fredrick knows that Briar is a witch so the king and queen asks if he wants to become a witch hunter? I think it would add really well to the story line of the gameplay.
You should put the dining room behind the staircase and the kitchen in the little nook beside it! Castle looks amazing so far though!!
