guys this is mainly not the dev’s fault btw, they switched to the new textures in the lobby ONLY, and they probably forgot some older towers uses actual roblox textures, most of the time it isnt a problem because it isnt affected in game.
Theres no way this was a roblox automatic thing, because an older game cant just migrate roblox textures to newer versions on its own. Meaning that the developers must have somehow migrated it themselves (no clue how you do it) (Also the golden pyro texture is Ice)

The goofiest thing from this is that some legacy styled enemies actually look stupidly ugly, like the fallens, the mega slow, etc and etc... And if you do wonder why recent enemies aren't changed, it's because today's enemies are fully meshed. They don't use any type of roblox textures like before. Also am I the only one who thinks G Pyro looks like a Vomit Pyro skin?

Overall, all these new textures are bad, atleast in my opinion. Check what it looks like in Crossroads, the textures there are too pixelated, and that's not the only map that looks so bad...

theres a button in material service in studio, i assume they clicked hte 2022 texture button there so they could add snow texture to lobby

Fun fact, you can get some of the legacy enemies from badlands. I dunno about the other special modes
