Completed my Ethel today, turned out great with your added zipper pocket. I don't suppose you would know how to add a recess zipper closure to the top rather than the snap.
Didnt really find this beginner friendly. Will be on the look out for something else. Like the overall style but struggled terribly sewing the outer pieces together. Found your instructions ok, but for a beginner bag maker maybe more info on installing the 1st magnetic snap... like i actually went thru the actual front pocket, not realizing it was only the lining you went thru. Maybe i just misunderstood. Dont think Ill try this one again, but thanks for your tutorial.

So pleased you found it helpful. I use decovil light on the back of the magnetic snaps to reinforce them x
