Love Blue Cypress, one of my local lakes. Also if you havent yet, check out Headwaters next time your in the area.
We were at Stick Marsh the 2nd week of Feb. Wind blew us out first 3 days. Went to Garcia 1 day. Caught plenty of fish there but they were all small. A lot less bites on Stick Marsh but they were better bites. My partner had a 7.80 and another boat in our group got an 8.0. I looked for your van everyday at the ramp.

If you ever find yourself in South Carolina and want to catch some fish, head to the Santee Cooper Lakes. It's an amazing place to fish. Full of BIG bass and the most beautiful lake you will ever fish.
If interested to do a fishing trip on Santee, just leave me a message and I can let u know where to go to catch a BIG bag of fish.

Those stickbaits put in work in the shallow water down here. Nice catches. I have access to a private lake my good friend lives on. If you need to get those numbers up before you leave Florida we could fish it. It's in Dade City, FL. I've only been posting vids for a week but I caught 19 bass there one day and I'm sure you would catch 50. If you wanna checkout the lake it's my video titled. "Tons of bass caught..." Theres 8 pounders in there too I just didn't catch any. This might be cringy for you to read idk but just putting it out there. Keep catching them.

Man I know all about fishing a tough lake with a million cypress trees in it as I fish santee Cooper in SC and u can fish Miles of trees with no bites then hit a 40yd stretch and it’s lights out
One of the most difficult lakes to fish in FL. There are no blue gill in the lake so most things don't work. Lots of Bowfin. Head to the northeast corner and go up the M canal. That is the start of the St. John's river. Lots of gators and decent fish along that canal.
Those swirls and getting bitten off are, almost for sure, bowfin.
So glad you fished there. Buddy and I just got back from a week there. Love that area of FL.

I live in keystone too, Brooklyn and ganeva are way better. My pb came from Brooklyn. I didn't have a scale but it looked like a grouper when i pulled it out of the water maybe 16 or 17lbs

Water here in Ohio is mid 30’s at best. Thought about taking my new Jon boat build out tomorrow in 50 degree air and my wife said that would be like suicide. Maybe she is right. Probably not worth trying yet lol.

You may have done a vid already, I just don't remember. Could you do a vid or short about using a swim jig? I've caught one fish on a swim jig...I just can't seem to figure out how to work it correctly or the right cadence.

I got tired of the short strikes with buzz baits bro so I use whopper ploppers now. With whopper ploppers you still stick the ones that swipe at them. I really admire that you'll even post days that you get skunked though because it doesn't give guys new to fishing the wrong impression that it's slaunches every cast lol even avid anglers struggle lol
