I didn’t plan at all when I moved to LA. Left VA with $500 and a plane ticket purchased two weeks prior. Biggest leap of faith of my life. 3 years later I’m still here with a pilot and 5 features under my belt. The right doors will open. Trust your intuition.
If she reads any of the comments I’d love to know her thoughts on entering writing competitions to build recognition before moving to LA,, and if there’s a certain age range that’s better for getting into the business
This video literally came right on time. I've been really been debating about making this step. While I'm not ready for the moving part, this motivated me to take the steps towards it. Shoutout to whoever produced this and can't wait for the next episode.
I loveeee ODAAT, and I'm so happy that it's coming back for S4, the show has me in stitches and we have you to thank for it! keep doing what you're doing, you're so talented!
I’m planning on moving to LA at the end of the year and I loved the tip about parking tickets! Didn’t even consider that. I will for sure be watching the other Hollywood 101 videos ❤️
Yo i was looking up the script for b99 in the beginning of the video and then she mentions that Brooklyn 99 is her favorite show on tv right now. It’s a damn sign.
I’m only 12 years old but my dream when I’m older is to work for the Simpsons, so I’m trying my hardest to get to that goal. I’ve already started saving i but 3rd of whatever money I get into my savings and I get to spend the rest. I’m also trying to study writing and scripts, and create my own short story’s! Because I know my goal is huge but it’s what’s going to make me happiest in life.

I’m thinking that exact same thing
"Do you need to move to Los Angeles? Probably." ...deep sigh...
Is new York a good place to start too
Can I create scripts for comics and tv shows at the same time ?
I am the fourth one
Can you pls bring some peruvians
Why question is how do you get hired as a writer, not how do you learn to write.
Interesting how much less necessary it is to be in LA to do TV now. A silver lining of the COVID years.
So I'm cuban and "One Day at Time" literally explains my family
