Heavy snow continued into midday in Duluth, MN with large waves crashing on the shore of Lake Superior. A glaze of ice from freezing drizzle and rain coated the ground prior to nearly a foot of snow falling, causing automobile and pedestrian traffic to struggle navigating town in the morning rush.

The memory I will carry forever of the worst snowstorm I've ever been in, was right where you are. Stay safe.

Lake Superior is a beast...both in the summer and especially in the winter! Duluth, because of its geographic position, always gets socked in. Terrific footage Live Storms Media.

I had to push a car down 40th ave West at 1:30am Sunday morning with my truck during that snow storm. We both got stuck right around the bend (he couldn't keep within the tire tracks), and had to wait until the plow went around us. That was nuts!

I love the North Shore area...spent a lot of time in Duluth...but weather is always a factor. Gotta use some smarts and prepare for it. I do love the " auto start" feature on my pickup..warm it up before I get to it.

Been to Duluth many times.....in the summer. Often thought about moving there - not so much now after seeing this. Chills me to the bone. 60 degrees and sunny in Tucson today 1/1/20. I do love Duluth, I'd love to live there 7 or 8 months of the year

They call that climate in Duluth MN. humid continental & also climate zone 3 with 117 day frost free warm growing season! A humid continental climate is also referred to as a "microthermal climate"! I believe winter there is really 5 months & the summer is barely 3 months long!!!!!

0:35 Great way to keep parking lot clear...park cars close together and limit the amount of snow in the center. Shovel the perimeter, move outer cars and the rest drive out pretty easy. At least that's what appeared to me with that shot. Maybe I'm wrong.

If u were born in the state and still live here. Like me and my friend's too. We are use to it. Just have to remember when we get that first snowfall have to be careful with everything. I would have this than the hurricane's and the earthquake's too.

Doesn't anybody know how to walk out to their car or truck and start the engine, turn on the heater, and wait... let the heater melt the ice on the windows. On the side windows it will create a layer of water between the ice and the window, and you should never break the ice around the wipers, unless you have some new wipers to replace the ones you just destroyed by being inpatient. I love this kind of weather, but it comes with it's own set of rules.

You break the ice with the jagged edge, not the smooth edge of the scraper lol Bless their hearts, it probably doesn't even matter in that junk.
