I can only dream of going to Whistler. I live in New Zealand and for me to go to Whistler would not be cheap, I'm 23 and piss-poor-broke atm. Someday I will go, but not for a while!
Its my dream to ride blue velvet just seems so flowy and beautiful, but is it true that blue velvet has the worst breaking bumps in the whole of whistler?
Yes, there are a few sections (tree-house and the berms after In Deep turn-off especially) which I would say are some of the worst in the park. Other bad areas: Lower Freight Train after the Upper Duffman merge, Heart of Darkness and Upper Crank It Up berms before the Joyride jump park. I haven't bothered riding it this year but from the video it looks like they did some maintenance... I see new dirt, bobcat tracks etc. The problem is newbies jamming their brakes in the wet just blows it up.
Damn July could be too dry. If it's all dusty it gets very loose and slippery, apart from that, during high season the trails will be way more used and you may have to wait in line at the lift. The conditions in the video are not that bad. Maybe one more day without rain and that would have been perfect. So much more grip when it's not all dried up.
Hey man, I absolutely love your POV-videos! Just a quick question: why not put a link to the bike in the description as well? It seems to be with most bike youtubers that there is no link, but I am pretty sure your viewers would care more about that than knowing which GoPro generation is being used :)
Thanks! That's a good suggestion, but I have a 2017 YT Tues CF and it seems like YT doesn't keep an archive like other bike companies, so there's no link :( . I have new Enduro on the way and I think I'll make a bike check video and link to that!
You can check out all of my Whistler videos here!

Cool vid. 1/2 way through I had to stop and have a hoot. My hands were so sore.
I think that is the first trail I ever rode in a bike park and my first time at Whistler too, what a day! Thanks for sharing.
It's a classic!
Next time a bike park outing shouldn't be such a white knuckle experience! Goats Gully was good fun too.
Love these kind of trails. Keeping the flow. Thanks for the video
Nice. Will be binge watching these trail vids in prep for my upcoming trip. Cheers.
Enjoyed the tour!
Keep up the great vids mate, I m loving them
Thanks!

Save those pennies!
@@VanCan Yep haha
I live in NZ too, and I have heard that queenstown skyline park is just about as good as Whistler. That could be a cheaper option?
Got butterflies in my stomach watching this ... feels so fast in parts
Looks like so much fun !
It’s a lot of fun...until your hands start to hurt
Love your videos
Thanks!

Was this shot recently? I’m heading to Whistler in 2020, June/July and I’m hoping it’s going to be dry??......only there for two days.
Yup this was last week!
HA HA, better not tell the Mrs there can be rain in high summer!!

I'm heading to whistler in May 2019, do you think this can be a nice time to ride? Great video btw!
Well the park usually opens late May so, maybe. You can probably ride the valley trails though, if the park isn't open yet.
Alright! Thank you!
Trail kinda just keeps repeating itself eh...?
Still cool. Lower section seems rad
8.37 i startde too think that tour helmet was a lift

Good try with the thumbnail. Why not, right?

I do Ride most days, ha. Not in whistler though. These videos are all from weekends.
you ever go up to ride at seymour? I think that's the only place I've really ridden trails
Ya I ride Seymour pretty often, one of my favorite places!
Ah nice. I would ride with you but I take it pretty damn slow haha.
Well maybe I should have kept my Inspired so we could have hit the trials park 😝
