    Oh man I love you guys. You write such solid songs. Um as a somewhat noob in the world of effects im not sure how to dial in the right settings for the reverse delay. It also would be nice to know what notes your playing.(for the intro) Thx so much.

      The intro part is a D chord in a high octave. 10-10-11 on the fret board.

    Thanks for these playthroughs James!
    They're really awesome and very helpful for these parts!
    Do you have suggestions on methods of learning alternative chords on Electric that support rhythm guitar in church?
    I started learning guitar in Covid and it feels like such a big gap to cross!

      Hey mate, thanks for your message! My suggestion would be to work out each of the notes that make up the chord you are playing and then experiment with where you can fit those notes together in different places across the fretboard. It will also help you to learn the notes across your fretboard. You can also try moving the chord shapes you already know up and down the fretboard. It will take time, but will be worth it!

    How are you using the effects for the lead part?

    • @jamesfergo
      @jamesfergo  Год назад +5

      Hey mate, the lead part uses a reverb (bloom setting on the BigSky - mix around 50%) and a dotted 8th delay (mix loud enough to hear 1-2 trails). Then I add overdrive for the choruses and a boost for the instrumental to get some additional grit.
      Hope that helps!

    excellent! what settings do you have set on your reverse delay?

    • @mikemusser7785
      @mikemusser7785 Год назад

      maybe .8, 100 bpm, 87% mix? haha, just my guess.

      Hey Mike, for the reverse delay: mix at 100%, dotted eighth, tapped in on beats 1-3-5, around 3-4 audible trails. Paired with some reverb mixed at around 50%. Hope that helps!
