I don't condone the way he was killed. It's a pussy move to shoot somebody in their bed with their pregnant wife next to them. Hampton was known to have security with him all the time and the panthers were known to be heavily armed always. So that's mostly why they went in shooting. Hampton wasn't probably gonna go nicely if they just wanted to arrest him. And even if Hampton was put in prison, he would've become another "soledad brother" that would've continued to preach propaganda behind bars.
