@@brtcobra It has less to do with the CPU and more to do with what you're running the CPU. Many games today will flog the hell out of a 4070 Ti Super on only a Ryzen 5600. Metro Exodus comes to mind.
This style of reviewing gpu's is the kind i am looking for. Charts are nice and all, but seeing the fps during gameplay on different settings shows exactly what a person needs to make up their mind.

@@MikeTankie i got it at launch, it's a beast for sure. perfect for 1440p ultrawide. ultra settings on everything, 100 fps on average, practically never drops below 60, hits 150 on many titles. it can run uevr very well too. my next upgrade will prob be a 6090 in a few years.

4070ti super is amazing, running a 4070ti myself after trading it for my 4090, 4070ti + 1500 bucks so had to do it, the 4070ti smashes everything i throw at it 3440x1440p, dont really need more than that really lol. perfect 1440p card.
You actually saved me with this video man. I've been going down the rabbit hole of benchmark charts and videos and I ordered this gpu with an amd Ryzen 9 7950x3D cpu and I was looking to get that 1440p upgrade. I can see it's power from a real user going through settings from some of the most demanding games recently released.

@@theivadim yeah I was actually wondering if I even went with the right choice. I've been sort of in the rabbit hole with the parts right now. Is there any significant latency difference between the amd and Intel options? From what I've seen frame rates are usually within 5% or so between each other so that doesn't worry me too much.
In terms of performance the current AMD and Intel offerings are more or less the same on average. The only thing I'd like to point out is that AMD achieves the same level of performance as Intel while consuming less energy. For example, the much cheaper Ryzen 7 7800X3D offers gaming performance comparable to Intel's 14900K. And consumes noticeably less energy. Hence why I recommend the 7800X3D for gaming. It's a no-brainer.
Do you think the AMD CPUs have worse dips or stutters overall than intel's, or are they relatively close? I've seen so many charts at this point at it looks like a per game basis, which makes it hard for me to choose. @@theivadim
@@theivadim So I ordered from Cyberpower but it's only been about a day so far, and they don't do orders through the weekend. Do you think if I contact them, they would adjust my order and refund price to change the cpu to the Ryzen 7 7800x3D? It was a custom build, and though I spent a lot of time researching the topic, I still wasn't totally aware of some of the weird issues the Ryzen 9 7950x3D had using two different dies, and of course after reading a lot of negative reddit threads and having only ever had good experiences with intel cpus since I've always bought intel until now, I got nervous about the brand change. I wanted to have to ability to have options. My pc's main focus would be gaming, but I always produce and record music from time to time, as well as record videos. I don't do it so often that it's my source of income or the primary purpose of the pc, but I read that the Ryzen 7 7800x3D was just simply worse for productivity, but I'm not totally sure by how much. I'd love to hear your thoughts, because after having watched some of your videos now, you absolutely shaved the GPU worries I had away. There's just so much negativity with brands in general with some people going extremely one side or the other and since I have only personally built or had built a handful of computers thus far, I'm not super aware of these little specifics.

curious do you use frame generation ever? or do you think itll be more utilized as the 40 series goes outta date? like it nets me 30-50% more frames and looks pretty decent at times. not too bad if you want starfield/cyberpunk looking good and running buttery. @@theivadim it does have varying quality, i saw this feature on my 4070 super ti and i was in absolute shock as i come from a 20 series card that really struggled to do anything with modern games. i hadnt maxed a game in a long time but now i max everything without a second thought. if i cant run it smooth i know between frame gen and dlss its gonna run smooth and deliver good quality.
For a $100 less, you can get a better 1440 beast that’s faster than the 4070 ti super. The 4070 ti super is 40% more money than the 4070 super, but is 15% faster. That’s poor value.

@@tosh26134070 ti super is also on 4080 die. If you get the right model you can oc within 5-8 percent of 4080. For $800 thats not bad and way better future proofed. Perfect gpu for 5 year type owner. 4070 super is fine too but might have to change textures in 2-3 years. High is still solid anyway
Not too sure about leaving off that support. I did run a 1.5kg GPU for a year without a support (it didn't come with one) and when I took it out to sell it on, everything looked perfectly fine. However: I've been watching quite a lot of GPU-repair videos lately and the guy who runs the channel (northwest repair) did comment that in his opinion, any GPU over 2 lbs should be used with a support. Not sure if he films/uploads all his repairs, but there are quite a lot of 40xx-series cards with cracked PCBs on his channel. And they always seem to crack around the PCIe-connectors/hook. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I did find a support bracket from Coolermaster on sale and, remembering his comment about weight, I bought it.
Does it come with international warranty? I checked on amazon in description no international warranty was written but for thr gigabyte GPUs it showed they have 3-4 years international warranty
18:18 DLAA consumes far more resources than pure rasterization. It's a technology that enhances graphics quality. You can get 70 fps in rasterization without DLAA, which is still more than 50 fps, for this reason you have a huge gap when you turn on the DLSS on quality.
I was going to buy an RTX 4080, but I opted for this card and then spend the extra money on a 4TB SSD. This is a great card, and mine is pretty close to a 4080.
hey, i think you should benchmark "Competitive" settings on fortnite too. The exact setting is on Performance Rendering mode, with all settings set at minimum and 3D Resolution set to whatever the user likes (usually 70 - 85%)

Hogwarts actually runs pretty well when ray tracing is disabled 13:59 I think Alan Wake 2 might be the one most GPUs struggle with. I'll have to test it.
It’s less to do with some corporate conspiracy theory struck between devs and component manufacturers and more the fact that (triple A) devs love to go all out with graphical fidelity if they have a large budget, and design their games to run with next-gen hardware. It’s why a game like Cyberpunk 2077, which came out just after the RTX 30 series launched and was in development as far back as the GTX 10 series when that first launched is STILL a challenge to run with current gen GPUs. I extremely doubt Nvidia would give CDPR a special custom built GPU that could run their future game better than 4 generations of their offical consumer GPUs lmao. Now with consoles they actually have to scale down their game requirements a lot just to make it run decently on one machine with preset specs, but on the PC platform the sky is literally the limit for devs (game engine limitations notwithstanding).
I don't know how but in Cyberpunk with DLSS + quality (no ray reconstruction or frame generation) you're getting almost 100FPS but in my case I'm getting below 50FPS. Did you change the overclock settings or something else? Nice video, thanks!.

What happened to him is what typically happens when your CPU is pretty old but you get a very strong GPU, the GPU can't really work efficiently because the CPU is holding it back. This is why you have to look for a good balance in power when building a PC

That's why I asked if it was possible to overclock MSI's 4070 TI Super. I'm in doubt between your model and 4070 TI Super TUF. because I know that TUF overclocks. but the TUF price is higher. I currently have the 3070 TUF. I did OC, 200 MHz more in frequency and I got a gain of 10 FPS.
I had a Gygabite AORUS 2080 super and I replace for this one and Im much more satisfied with this new graphic card, my older card was giving me some problems and was wayyyy hoter than this one, this one is much cooler and very silence.
Hey man, during Hogwarts legacy with Frame gen off, you are not limited by the GPU, you are bound by the CPU single core performance. The game is using only one core that's why you are seeing CPU Load fro 20-30% tops, but it does not reflect the single core load.
This PC has been provided to me by MSI in cooperation with CyberPowerPC. So, I didn't have a say in what goes into the build. But it turned out a well balanced build in my opinion. While the 7800X3D is the meta for an average gamer, Intel's CPUs still have a place in gaming. The experience is great on both 14700K as well as 7800X3D. I'm curious, do you feel like you're missing something using your Intel-based PC? Any buyer's regrets?
@@theivadim Nah i miss nothing, its rock stable. i run my i7 at 5ghz (air cooled) max 61° no loss in fps that i encounter. but much less power and heat its worth i dont need 5.6 ghz. Well i guess im keeping it, because im just familiar with Intel + Nvidia, somehow scared to change a runninig team.
Good!🙂👍 The only thing I don't like about Intel's new CPU design approach is that they have way too many efficiency cores on desktop CPUs. So far it's been a loosing bet. AMD's 3D V-cache has proven to be much better for increasing performance in games. Hopefully, things will improve once it's time to upgrade in a couple of generations from now.
@@theivadim yeah some games dont botter with the e cores some do, its a little mess. i have a 14700K too. Maybe i upgrade full AMD (never had AMD products) but prices and especially the VRAM on gpu's are very compelling to me.
In my opinion it is the perfect card for 1440p gaming, regarding bang for buck. It should be fast enough to play newer titles in the next years and with the 16 gigs of vram it also has some reserves for badly optimized games/console ports.

Let's be real here, there isn't really a point in playing in 4k unless you're playing on a big TV. A monitor isn't even big enough to tell difference between the two because the pixels are just way to small. At a certain point resolution gives massive diminishing returns compared to the performance you're losing.
How is it with MSI x670e Tomahawk. In HW info shows that the card has a PCIe 4.0 link speed - 8GT/s. Is this the right speed for MSI 4070 super. I will add that I have an M2 Pcie 5 connected in the first slot under the processor. The card directly under M2 is also in the Pcie 5 slot. Do M2 and GPU limit each other? I will add that so far the card has been operating at a maximum of 51% usage, even in 4K in heavy games, and the fans at 39%. but further use was not used to increase FPS. Do I have M2 installed in the wrong slot?
Vadim showed something really important at 22:20 ultra settings more often than not just shorten the lifespan of your card and halve your fps with very little gain compared to high settings visually. The 4070ti super is a high settings 1440p destroyer without even considering dlss and fg. I'm so diehard on that hill that I believe ultra settings are more of a scam to upsell overpriced tech rather than something that really benefits the player
A lot of the highest quality graphics settings are in the realm of diminishing returns. Those who don't mind spending time on optimising the settings benefit from higher FPS. But not everyone wants to spend time tinkering with that.
Definitely overkill for 1440p. 4070 Ti SUPER is great for this resolution to get high refresh rate experience. With a rare exception in few games and few scenes that most of the time have poor optimisation. I'd look into upgrading to a 4K monitor if I were getting a 4080 SUPER. Also, it is best to pair it with something more balanced. Like an i7 13700K/14700K or KF, or Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
Great video and you've made my mind up on the 4070 ti super. I have the i7 12-Core Processor i7-12700F what one would you recommend to go with the 4070 as I haven't a clue 🤣
Thanks for watching my vid!🤝🙂 To me it looks like you have a pretty good CPU. I'd keep it. It makes more sense to upgrade the CPU later. When there is a big generational performance uplift that you'd actually feel when playing your games.
before I bought my 4090, my old strix 3080 cranks out well over 100fps in every single game i have at 2k resolution. save money if you game on 2k or 1080p and buy a 30 series card, you only need a 40 series if you plan on gaming at 4k.
Enabling DLAA reduces fps. But it is a great AA solution. But you don't use dlaa with RT. You always use dlss quality. Even my 4090 I use DLSS quality on just about every game. Especially with RT enabled.
Not really, I find that DLAA runs faster than MSAA and also looks much better except for motion 'ghosting' with DLAA. As for DLSS, when you're running a 4070 Ti Super DLSS isn't needed for 1440p gaming at all. Everything runs great without it.

Z790 MB has an intel compatable Chipset. Only intel CPUs work with it. B650 an is AM5 chipset in motherboard which means it's only compatible AMD ryzen CPUs. Expensive boards are compatible with all levels that brand of cpu. Like ASUS TUF B650 Plus is compatible with ryzen 5000 7000 and 9000 cpus. Cheaper boards that might only be compatible with one or two levels compared to all.

The 4070 TI Super costs about 40% more than I paid for a new RX 6950 XT. Raytracing plus a frame rate increase of 10% isn't worth the 40% price premium (+/- 700 USD vs. +/- 1,000 USD).
Yes I did experience in the game ‘The medium’ with my 4070ti super severe framerate drops in certain scenes but I think that’s down to poor optimisation more than anything. The game was on max settings with RT enabled.
I have the Gigabyte card and it doesn't care what I throw at it. This 4070 TI Super is actually a cut down 4080 core using the AD103 chip as opposed to the rest of the 4070s that use the AD104 chip.

Is getting 240fps on a 240hz really that much better for non competitive/casual gamers, for me as long as you are always above 100 fps you are getting a great experience at 1440p
im always on dlss quality..i just cant differentiate between that and native..and considering the temperature/power discount, i just cant reason out why to not use DLSS...im using windforce oc from gigabyte
A 4070 ti (non-super) would be close to the 7900XT. The 7900XT will beat it in pure rasterisation performance, but the 4070 ti will be ahead in production work and raytracing
Wow our builds are almost the same. I got the 17-14700k Msi Slim 4070 ti super 64GB 6400 ddr5 cl32 corsair vengeance 2 TB 990 pro. Z790 mag msi tomahawk wifi And 1000W Tuf gold gaming. I'm pretty new to building. I got it all 6 it works great, but I still want to run my cpu at 5.6mhz. right now it's on stock settings. Any advise?
@theivadim just advise for over clocking in general. I was able to get my cpu to run at 5.4 without going over 86C but the settings are super simple. Also, I can't seem to figure out how to oc my gpu at all. Things run stable for a bi, but then Crack out
I don't think you can. I have an MSI motherboard and when I was trying to control LEDs on a GIGABYTE GPU the MSI software didn't recognise the GPU LEDs. I haven't tried this on ASUS motherboards. I'd check before you commit to the purchase.
@@theivadim i just got the card, don't worry, I might return it anyway. BUT, yes you can control the RGB, u just need the corresponding software. So I just installed the msi centre and i can control it. Same goes with gigabytes rgb fusion, in your case. I used to have a gigabyte card too but the gigabyte's software was literally crashing my PC so beware of that :D

I've been gaming with an RTX 4070 Ti since January of 2023, and it destroys at 1440p. No problems at all. If the regular 4070 Ti can do it, the Super definitely can.
i'm having trouble with connectng more than 1 monitor.. only the HDmi works.. the 3 display ports doenst work... windows dont recognize the monitors, the displays... i'm getting crazy.. any tip to fix that ?
I got the first asus tuf 4070tisuper in the city i live in. In default mode it hits between 160-180Mhz over the listed OC mode on the factory spec sheet,/ silicon lottery win( read years ago that the first GPU's and CPU's off the line clock out way higher). 14700kf, asus tuf z790, 990pro and 32 gigs of 6.4Ghz ram drives it and been breaking in the hardware at 1080p and it does not even break a sweat. The lighting, shadows, and reflections are pretty sweet for this gen of GPU's. Fun fact, the GTX 760 was the first cuda core GPU to be programmed way back in 2007 to do something other than pushing Pixels. 2023 was the first year the North American Government banned All Nvidia Products over the 4080 from being shipped to China. Talk about code cracking for the poor man ;) If you need to blow your mind do a clean install with no RGB active. then do an install with all that crab installed and sinked, if the average gamer had any idea that it takes well over 1000 extra thread processes and an extra 5+ Gigs on a boot not to mention all the extra HD activity/ bloat uplinks and down links just to run those cool lights. pretty funny. man it was an Eye opener to see that the 13900kf is 1 whole percent faster than the 14700kf. ie I can not wait to get the RTX 50 series. BTW you should only be running in DLAA for the best looking effects. anything over 60fps is really just a waist of money.

I was not going to spend another 400 bucks just to get a 4080 super when the 5000 series are so close to launch. The Card is an excellent 4K entry card, BTW i finished off the build with a 48"Lg C3. when i picked up the PC parts I did not want to get a G9, as 2 grand for something that is only half height and well short of true 4k. waist of money
In my experience, coil whine is not connected to any specific brand or model. You always have a chance to come across it. You can buy several units of the same product and all of them will have various degree of coil whine or no audible whine at all. This particular card was fine.
In the first video you have a minimum fan speed of 30% and 1300 rpm, now 1000 rpm without a percentage indicator! The question is interesting: in reality the card starts at 30% speed and 1000 rpm? Thank you !
1000-1300 RPM appears to the usual range for this card. Room temperature was 20-22C. I think you may be right about the 30% speed 1000 RPM starting point. Makes sense too keep the fans off until they are truly needed. Indeed, when card is idle or at low loads the fans just don't turn on.

4x1080p screens = 4K screen. So, you can just look at the 4K performance test I did with this card in this video - ruclips.net/video/PFCLR_xj9kg/видео.html Or this one - ruclips.net/video/M77kJu3g-xI/видео.html You should expect approximately 3/4 of the performance you see there. I don't have any experience with VR. But one thing I always see people say online is that there's always not enough GPU compute power when you use VR. I think 4070 Ti SUPER should do fine. But if you want high refresh rate experience then 4080 SUPER will deliver a smoother experience using higher graphics settings.
In my opinion, anyone thinking of buying the RX 4070 Ti Super should sit it back on the shelf and pick up the amazing RX 7900 XT, buy it and be happy that you own such a great GPU that doesn't have Nvidia wrote on it.

@hong_1712 that's too much, I believe. I have 64GB DDR5 RAM with 2 sticks of 2TB NVMe's on my system, and the max power draw is calculated at 699w, which I haven't even reached yet. I recommend you search "newegg power supply calculator" and use that to check yourself using your parts.

you can literally play anything on 1440 p with high/ultra settings in todays current games with a 3070 rtx, you will get around 50 to 70 fps in native resolution in most and even more FPS, but if you enable DLSS/FSR and using FG from FSR or that mod DLSS FG you will get around above 90 - 100 fps on the most demanding games, currently playing Wukong with high/Very high and Cinematic at 1440p, FSR FG and getting aroung 90 to 100+ fps, it looks effing amazing. But still an RTX 4070 Ti super you can't go wrong mostly cause the 16 GB GDDRX6 , Wukong is probably the first game that make me consider to upgrade my GPU after two years , the game is very well optimized but still you can see developers are putting good use their developing skills and more VRAM will definitely will benefit in Wukong, I really want to play everything on Cinematic but my RTX 8 GB is just not enough for first time.
120 FPS is much nicer. If I were paying this much money for a GPU to play games at 1440p resolution then it better give me 120 FPS experience. Or as close to it as possible.

Cyberpunk looks worse on the overdrive preset because ray reconstruction is on, and it looks quite terrible in my opinion (lots of ghosting effects and a painting feel to textures). Also, path tracing tends to make everything a bit more blurry (and it costs a lot of fps), so you may disable it. Those two options are a no go at the moment I believe
Depends on a game. Some games have great DLSS implementation. Others not so much. But overall, I think that DLSS is a great feature because it does Anti-Aliasing while also increasing FPS. You need AA anyway. So, might as well use DLSS to boost performance.

been running a 4070 ti super on my 3440x1440 with ray tracing, also quest 3 vr, no issues as of yet, high fps. Best card I could find for under $1000.

@@MikeTankie i got it at launch, it's a beast for sure. perfect for 1440p ultrawide. ultra settings on everything, 100 fps on average, practically never drops below 60, hits 150 on many titles. it can run uevr very well too. my next upgrade will prob be a 6090 in a few years.

I've been going down the rabbit hole of benchmark charts and videos and I ordered this gpu with an amd Ryzen 9 7950x3D cpu and I was looking to get that 1440p upgrade. I can see it's power from a real user going through settings from some of the most demanding games recently released.

@@theivadim yeah I was actually wondering if I even went with the right choice. I've been sort of in the rabbit hole with the parts right now. Is there any significant latency difference between the amd and Intel options? From what I've seen frame rates are usually within 5% or so between each other so that doesn't worry me too much.
In terms of performance the current AMD and Intel offerings are more or less the same on average. The only thing I'd like to point out is that AMD achieves the same level of performance as Intel while consuming less energy. For example, the much cheaper Ryzen 7 7800X3D offers gaming performance comparable to Intel's 14900K. And consumes noticeably less energy. Hence why I recommend the 7800X3D for gaming. It's a no-brainer.
Do you think the AMD CPUs have worse dips or stutters overall than intel's, or are they relatively close? I've seen so many charts at this point at it looks like a per game basis, which makes it hard for me to choose. @@theivadim

Do you think if I contact them, they would adjust my order and refund price to change the cpu to the Ryzen 7 7800x3D? It was a custom build, and though I spent a lot of time researching the topic, I still wasn't totally aware of some of the weird issues the Ryzen 9 7950x3D had using two different dies, and of course after reading a lot of negative reddit threads and having only ever had good experiences with intel cpus since I've always bought intel until now, I got nervous about the brand change. I wanted to have to ability to have options. My pc's main focus would be gaming, but I always produce and record music from time to time, as well as record videos. I don't do it so often that it's my source of income or the primary purpose of the pc, but I read that the Ryzen 7 7800x3D was just simply worse for productivity, but I'm not totally sure by how much. I'd love to hear your thoughts, because after having watched some of your videos now, you absolutely shaved the GPU worries I had away. There's just so much negativity with brands in general with some people going extremely one side or the other and since I have only personally built or had built a handful of computers thus far, I'm not super aware of these little specifics.

I like frame gen when it is done right. Right now I play Horizon Forbidden West and Alan Wake 2 with frame gen enabled.
@@theivadim it does have varying quality, i saw this feature on my 4070 super ti and i was in absolute shock as i come from a 20 series card that really struggled to do anything with modern games. i hadnt maxed a game in a long time but now i max everything without a second thought. if i cant run it smooth i know between frame gen and dlss its gonna run smooth and deliver good quality.

For a $100 less, you can get a better 1440 beast that’s faster than the 4070 ti super. The 4070 ti super is 40% more money than the 4070 super, but is 15% faster. That’s poor value.

Not too sure about leaving off that support. I did run a 1.5kg GPU for a year without a support (it didn't come with one) and when I took it out to sell it on, everything looked perfectly fine. However: I've been watching quite a lot of GPU-repair videos lately and the guy who runs the channel (northwest repair) did comment that in his opinion, any GPU over 2 lbs should be used with a support. Not sure if he films/uploads all his repairs, but there are quite a lot of 40xx-series cards with cracked PCBs on his channel. And they always seem to crack around the PCIe-connectors/hook. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I did find a support bracket from Coolermaster on sale and, remembering his comment about weight, I bought it.

18:18 DLAA consumes far more resources than pure rasterization. It's a technology that enhances graphics quality. You can get 70 fps in rasterization without DLAA, which is still more than 50 fps, for this reason you have a huge gap when you turn on the DLSS on quality.
I was going to buy an RTX 4080, but I opted for this card and then spend the extra money on a 4TB SSD. This is a great card, and mine is pretty close to a 4080.

hey, i think you should benchmark "Competitive" settings on fortnite too.
The exact setting is on Performance Rendering mode, with all settings set at minimum and 3D Resolution set to whatever the user likes (usually 70 - 85%)

I think Alan Wake 2 might be the one most GPUs struggle with. I'll have to test it.
It’s less to do with some corporate conspiracy theory struck between devs and component manufacturers and more the fact that (triple A) devs love to go all out with graphical fidelity if they have a large budget, and design their games to run with next-gen hardware.
It’s why a game like Cyberpunk 2077, which came out just after the RTX 30 series launched and was in development as far back as the GTX 10 series when that first launched is STILL a challenge to run with current gen GPUs. I extremely doubt Nvidia would give CDPR a special custom built GPU that could run their future game better than 4 generations of their offical consumer GPUs lmao.
Now with consoles they actually have to scale down their game requirements a lot just to make it run decently on one machine with preset specs, but on the PC platform the sky is literally the limit for devs (game engine limitations notwithstanding).
Hogwarts Legacy with RT seems to be CPU Bound. GPU is below 90%. 11:42 it's even at 53%

I don't know how but in Cyberpunk with DLSS + quality (no ray reconstruction or frame generation) you're getting almost 100FPS but in my case I'm getting below 50FPS. Did you change the overclock settings or something else?

What happened to him is what typically happens when your CPU is pretty old but you get a very strong GPU, the GPU can't really work efficiently because the CPU is holding it back. This is why you have to look for a good balance in power when building a PC

I currently have the 3070 TUF. I did OC, 200 MHz more in frequency and I got a gain of 10 FPS.

Hey man, during Hogwarts legacy with Frame gen off, you are not limited by the GPU, you are bound by the CPU single core performance. The game is using only one core that's why you are seeing CPU Load fro 20-30% tops, but it does not reflect the single core load.

This PC has been provided to me by MSI in cooperation with CyberPowerPC. So, I didn't have a say in what goes into the build. But it turned out a well balanced build in my opinion. While the 7800X3D is the meta for an average gamer, Intel's CPUs still have a place in gaming. The experience is great on both 14700K as well as 7800X3D.
I'm curious, do you feel like you're missing something using your Intel-based PC? Any buyer's regrets?
@@theivadim Nah i miss nothing, its rock stable. i run my i7 at 5ghz (air cooled) max 61° no loss in fps that i encounter. but much less power and heat its worth i dont need 5.6 ghz. Well i guess im keeping it, because im just familiar with Intel + Nvidia, somehow scared to change a runninig team.

The only thing I don't like about Intel's new CPU design approach is that they have way too many efficiency cores on desktop CPUs. So far it's been a loosing bet. AMD's 3D V-cache has proven to be much better for increasing performance in games.
Hopefully, things will improve once it's time to upgrade in a couple of generations from now.

In my opinion it is the perfect card for 1440p gaming, regarding bang for buck. It should be fast enough to play newer titles in the next years and with the 16 gigs of vram it also has some reserves for badly optimized games/console ports.

Let's be real here, there isn't really a point in playing in 4k unless you're playing on a big TV. A monitor isn't even big enough to tell difference between the two because the pixels are just way to small. At a certain point resolution gives massive diminishing returns compared to the performance you're losing.
My eyes are not perfect. Yet, I can still appreciate image quality uplift 4K resolution brings over 1440p on both 27-inch as well as 32-inch screens.

How is it with MSI x670e Tomahawk. In HW info shows that the card has a PCIe 4.0 link speed - 8GT/s. Is this the right speed for MSI 4070 super. I will add that I have an M2 Pcie 5 connected in the first slot under the processor. The card directly under M2 is also in the Pcie 5 slot. Do M2 and GPU limit each other? I will add that so far the card has been operating at a maximum of 51% usage, even in 4K in heavy games, and the fans at 39%. but further use was not used to increase FPS. Do I have M2 installed in the wrong slot?

Vadim showed something really important at 22:20 ultra settings more often than not just shorten the lifespan of your card and halve your fps with very little gain compared to high settings visually. The 4070ti super is a high settings 1440p destroyer without even considering dlss and fg. I'm so diehard on that hill that I believe ultra settings are more of a scam to upsell overpriced tech rather than something that really benefits the player
A lot of the highest quality graphics settings are in the realm of diminishing returns. Those who don't mind spending time on optimising the settings benefit from higher FPS. But not everyone wants to spend time tinkering with that.

Definitely overkill for 1440p. 4070 Ti SUPER is great for this resolution to get high refresh rate experience. With a rare exception in few games and few scenes that most of the time have poor optimisation.
I'd look into upgrading to a 4K monitor if I were getting a 4080 SUPER. Also, it is best to pair it with something more balanced. Like an i7 13700K/14700K or KF, or Ryzen 7 7800X3D.

before I bought my 4090, my old strix 3080 cranks out well over 100fps in every single game i have at 2k resolution. save money if you game on 2k or 1080p and buy a 30 series card, you only need a 40 series if you plan on gaming at 4k.
Enabling DLAA reduces fps. But it is a great AA solution.
But you don't use dlaa with RT. You always use dlss quality.
Even my 4090 I use DLSS quality on just about every game. Especially with RT enabled.
Not really, I find that DLAA runs faster than MSAA and also looks much better except for motion 'ghosting' with DLAA.
As for DLSS, when you're running a 4070 Ti Super DLSS isn't needed for 1440p gaming at all. Everything runs great without it.

Z790 MB has an intel compatable Chipset. Only intel CPUs work with it.
B650 an is AM5 chipset in motherboard which means it's only compatible AMD ryzen CPUs.
Expensive boards are compatible with all levels that brand of cpu. Like ASUS TUF B650 Plus is compatible with ryzen 5000 7000 and 9000 cpus. Cheaper boards that might only be compatible with one or two levels compared to all.

The 4070 TI Super costs about 40% more than I paid for a new RX 6950 XT. Raytracing plus a frame rate increase of 10% isn't worth the 40% price premium (+/- 700 USD vs. +/- 1,000 USD).
Yes I did experience in the game ‘The medium’ with my 4070ti super severe framerate drops in certain scenes but I think that’s down to poor optimisation more than anything. The game was on max settings with RT enabled.
Max been dead for like 8 years no reason to use it its mutiple vids that show not a big diffrence from high use that for ur games runs way better

This 4070 TI Super is actually a cut down 4080 core using the AD103 chip as opposed to the rest of the 4070s that use the AD104 chip.
So I've got a 2700x/x470/1080Ti, would getting a 4070 super/ti be beneficial ? Can't rly find an answer.

1440p doesn’t look good on a 4K screen because of how pixels work. It is best to use upscaling tech like DLSS to upscale to 4K screen.
Is getting 240fps on a 240hz really that much better for non competitive/casual gamers, for me as long as you are always above 100 fps you are getting a great experience at 1440p
In my opinion:
60 FPS = Good
90 FPS = Great
120 FPS = Brilliant
Anything above that is nice to have but not necessary.

A 4070 ti (non-super) would be close to the 7900XT. The 7900XT will beat it in pure rasterisation performance, but the 4070 ti will be ahead in production work and raytracing

I don't think you can. I have an MSI motherboard and when I was trying to control LEDs on a GIGABYTE GPU the MSI software didn't recognise the GPU LEDs. I haven't tried this on ASUS motherboards. I'd check before you commit to the purchase.
@@theivadim i just got the card, don't worry, I might return it anyway. BUT, yes you can control the RGB, u just need the corresponding software. So I just installed the msi centre and i can control it. Same goes with gigabytes rgb fusion, in your case. I used to have a gigabyte card too but the gigabyte's software was literally crashing my PC so beware of that :D

I've been gaming with an RTX 4070 Ti since January of 2023, and it destroys at 1440p. No problems at all. If the regular 4070 Ti can do it, the Super definitely can.
Dude, DLAA is not DLSS off (well technically it is) but not what you mean, DLAA consumes more than simply leaving no AA on.

For benchmarking apex legends you can cap the fps at 300 using +fps_max 0 in launch options

i'm having trouble with connectng more than 1 monitor.. only the HDmi works.. the 3 display ports doenst work... windows dont recognize the monitors, the displays... i'm getting crazy.. any tip to fix that ?
I got the first asus tuf 4070tisuper in the city i live in. In default mode it hits between 160-180Mhz over the listed OC mode on the factory spec sheet,/ silicon lottery win( read years ago that the first GPU's and CPU's off the line clock out way higher). 14700kf, asus tuf z790, 990pro and 32 gigs of 6.4Ghz ram drives it and been breaking in the hardware at 1080p and it does not even break a sweat. The lighting, shadows, and reflections are pretty sweet for this gen of GPU's. Fun fact, the GTX 760 was the first cuda core GPU to be programmed way back in 2007 to do something other than pushing Pixels. 2023 was the first year the North American Government banned All Nvidia Products over the 4080 from being shipped to China. If you need to blow your mind do a clean install with no RGB active. then do an install with all that crab installed and sinked, if the average gamer had any idea that it takes well over 1000 extra thread processes and an extra 5+ Gigs on a boot not to mention all the extra HD activity/ bloat uplinks and down links just to run those cool lights. pretty funny. man it was an Eye opener to see that the 13900kf is 1 whole percent faster than the 14700kf. ie I can not wait to get the RTX 50 series. BTW you should only be running in DLAA for the best looking effects. anything over 60fps is really just a waist of money.

@@belvederebaileycambodia well it is good enough to play 4k 4096x2160 with 68 Billion colors at a solid 70fps and over 100 with Deep learning enabled. I was not going to spend another 400 bucks just to get a 4080 super when the 5000 series are so close to launch. The Card is an excellent 4K entry card, BTW i finished off the build with a 48"Lg C3. when i picked up the PC parts I did not want to get a G9, as 2 grand for something that is only half height and well short of true 4k. waist of money
Any coil whine with this card? I avoid Asus at all time due to coil whine issues. Currently have a ventus no issues.
In my experience, coil whine is not connected to any specific brand or model. You always have a chance to come across it. You can buy several units of the same product and all of them will have various degree of coil whine or no audible whine at all. This particular card was fine.

It’s a comfortable 4k card if you don’t waste your time with ray tracing. However it will still play some games with ray tracing at 4k too.

In the first video you have a minimum fan speed of 30% and 1300 rpm, now 1000 rpm without a percentage indicator! The question is interesting: in reality the card starts at 30% speed and 1000 rpm? Thank you !
1000-1300 RPM appears to the usual range for this card. Room temperature was 20-22C. I think you may be right about the 30% speed 1000 RPM starting point. Makes sense too keep the fans off until they are truly needed. Indeed, when card is idle or at low loads the fans just don't turn on.

You should expect approximately 3/4 of the performance you see there.
I don't have any experience with VR. But one thing I always see people say online is that there's always not enough GPU compute power when you use VR. I think 4070 Ti SUPER should do fine. But if you want high refresh rate experience then 4080 SUPER will deliver a smoother experience using higher graphics settings.

It really depends on you. I picked the 4070 Ti Super because it's power efficient unlike other AMD cards.

@hong_1712 that's too much, I believe. I have 64GB DDR5 RAM with 2 sticks of 2TB NVMe's on my system, and the max power draw is calculated at 699w, which I haven't even reached yet.
I recommend you search "newegg power supply calculator" and use that to check yourself using your parts.

you can literally play anything on 1440 p with high/ultra settings in todays current games with a 3070 rtx, you will get around 50 to 70 fps in native resolution in most and even more FPS, but if you enable DLSS/FSR and using FG from FSR or that mod DLSS FG you will get around above 90 - 100 fps on the most demanding games, currently playing Wukong with high/Very high and Cinematic at 1440p, FSR FG and getting aroung 90 to 100+ fps, it looks effing amazing. But still an RTX 4070 Ti super you can't go wrong mostly cause the 16 GB GDDRX6 , Wukong is probably the first game that make me consider to upgrade my GPU after two years , the game is very well optimized but still you can see developers are putting good use their developing skills and more VRAM will definitely will benefit in Wukong, I really want to play everything on Cinematic but my RTX 8 GB is just not enough for first time.
What gpu do you recommend for 1440p gaming?
RTX 4070 or 4070 SUPER are pretty good if you want something a bit cheaper. Nothing good in tiers below that I'm afraid.
Just set your monitor to 60hz and enable vsync,60 fps to play is more than enough,gpu power usage will be very low too.
120 FPS is much nicer. If I were paying this much money for a GPU to play games at 1440p resolution then it better give me 120 FPS experience. Or as close to it as possible.
@@theivadim you don't get it,ppl are complaining about power usage on the gpu,if you don't play esports games then 60fps is more than enough,why use more energy if you get the same experience with 60fps instead of 120 or 170 or even more,playing ark ascended on my 4090 with steady 60 fps,card only uses 200w
it makes no sense to use antialiasing at this resolutions, remember its x4 times 1080p, it uses too much graphic power and its really hard to notice.

any bios issue (performance 5 %) on this card ?
Cyberpunk looks worse on the overdrive preset because ray reconstruction is on, and it looks quite terrible in my opinion (lots of ghosting effects and a painting feel to textures). Also, path tracing tends to make everything a bit more blurry (and it costs a lot of fps), so you may disable it. Those two options are a no go at the moment I believe
How are you getting more than 300+ fps in some games if your screen refresh rate is 165hz ?
because they're two different things. he just wont be able to display the full fps outputted by his system on his monitor

Did you notice any significant image quality difference between dlss off and on?
Depends on a game. Some games have great DLSS implementation. Others not so much. But overall, I think that DLSS is a great feature because it does Anti-Aliasing while also increasing FPS. You need AA anyway. So, might as well use DLSS to boost performance.
