Hi rabbi it has really fascinated me the difference is between the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Moses Bible on the lxx pretty much all of them sort of like songs 151 never knew there was one it's becoming a great resource. And I would think since it is one of the oldest translations we have at this time it could not have been corrupted to meet Christian theology. I'm finding myself with many questions to the Isaiah scroll.
Rome had a long history of creating, manipulating, or co-opting religions to serve political ends, and there are cases where they forcefully fulfilled or engineered prophecies to strengthen their control.
Just as in the plot of Dune, persecution narratives being shaped for political and religious purposes.
Examples:
1. Imperial Cults (Rome’s Manufactured Religion for Control)
- The Imperial Cult deified emperors, starting with Julius Caesar, who was declared a god after his assassination (44 BCE). Later emperors, including Augustus, Vespasian, and Domitian, were worshipped as divine figures. This practice gave emperors religious legitimacy, reinforcing their rule and making opposition seem like blasphemy. Many omens and "miracles" were recorded to justify an emperor’s rise. Vespasian (69-79 CE) supposedly healed a blind man and a crippled person in Egypt, fulfilling an Egyptian prophecy that a divine ruler would come from the West.
2. The Cult of Mithras (A Roman-Controlled Mystery Religion)
- The Mithraic Mysteries were a secretive religion popular among Roman soldiers from the 1st to 4th centuries.
3. The Sibylline Books - a collection of prophetic texts that Roman authorities kept under state control, often providing "divine justification" for war, policy changes, or persecution of enemies. Roman leaders used the books to predict disasters or justify pre-planned actions. Example: In 204 BCE, the Romans brought the goddess Cybele to Rome because the Sibylline Books supposedly "foretold" that she would help Rome win the Second Punic War.

Rome used the masterful brainwashing technique of pretending to be persecuted for their beliefs, to maintain the illusion that Christianity was an underground, revolutionary movement, to resonate with the rebellious audience they wanted to pacify. There is also a good book called "The Myth of Persecution | How Early Christians Invented A Story of Martyrdom" by professor Candida Moss, she shows how stories of christian persecution were forged in order to bolster the beliefs of christians - a simple yet effective tactic. Jesus says that preaching his message will get you "persecuted".
Also side note the martyrdoms of the apostles are entirely fabricated, DarkMatter2525 did a good job proving this in his 40 minute video "Did the Apostles Die for a Lie?", in which he shows how the Church clearly fabricated stories, with clear intent.

Did Rome Invent Christianity? I haven't watched your video yet but I've been thinking and saying this for years. My father was Roman Catholic and my mother Jewish. I grew up in an Anglo Saxon borough of Toronto in the 1940s. I went to Sunday school with my friends and visited my Jewish grandmother in another part of Toronto on the weekends. I spent summers in Quebec City and went to a Roman Catholic church with my cousins on Sunday. By the time I was 11 I concluded that Christianity was a collection of children's stories. The more I learned the more I became convinced the Romans latched onto Christianity in the dying days of the Empire in order to hang on to power. I'll watch this video later to see how your analysis lines up with mine, though you are far more informed than I am.

I’m not totally sure about the theory about Caesar’s Messiah, but it’s a very compelling theory. I hope scholars research it further. I personally think that Christianity is a religious device that was used by different Roman’s, through many generations, each for their purpose and in their context. Constantin was the one that hammered out the form that we today would recognize as Christianity. I personally think that the Orthodox Church is more similar to the form that was constructed by the generation of Constantin. Protestant Christianity has very little to do with the authentic thing.
Any case, if Caesar’s Messiah is true, then Christianity is basically like, to put in our day’s context, the national “religion” of North Korea, lets call it Kim-ism (something like that), made global, and some of its core believes is Kim is the worlds savior, America is world enemy number one, death to …….., and by the way, when Kim was born, their was a fantastic rainbow over the whole world and flowers blossomed that day globally and birds where singing non stop…… and dare you not believe this or you’ll boil in hell!!,, 😂😂😂

I was trying to explain this the other day to a Christian group. One mentioned: 'We have no other scripture but KJ bible to go back in history and check anything' ( Not kidding) I was trying to point out that the trial,then pre and post-mortem details did not align with realistic Jewish customs in that era and things may not be as what has been taught... I think the whole Jesus tale was used as propoganda to direct people into Christianity. Thank you!🎉

I believe that Jesus was just a Buddhist monk how his teachings draw parallel to Buddhism such as washing strangers' feet and was punished not for claiming to be the messiah which he never did claimed to be the messiah, but punished for teaching Buddhism, and then decades later after his death, Paul and them made it up to get back at the Old Testament and to make it its own thing to relate to God in every way, but in a way, failed and succeeded at the same time. Jesus' disciple Thomas even founded a Buddhist temple in India popular tourist attraction. Jesus and the kindness are real, but being the messiah along with a lot of the other science fiction is made up.

Constantine was the Emperor of Rome, and even today, one of the titles of the Bishop of Rome (aka the Pope) is Pontifex Maximus, which was one of the titles of the Roman Emperor. Rome may not have initiated Xtianity, but it certainly codified Xtianity, including the idolatrous trinity.

Don't be simplistic. The governor established by Rome had tried to find a solution against jews revolts, so they invented paul of tarsus. Hence, it was a plan of Agrippa II for local political intent. But in Rome, they didn't see it in the same way, at the begining. And just study the story of Irenee of Lyon (in France) : he was placed there as bishop because his preaches fit with Rome politic. The previous bishop was a jew, and was killed by Rome.

Yet i think historians would agree that people in the Church like Paul and of course later Church Fathers wanted Christianity to take a pro gentile turn rather than the gentiles themselves like the Romans inventing Christianity. The historical and archaeological evidence are quite substantial and plentiful that Christianity started as a heretical Jewish sect in Judea.
