Could you please show exactly how to do the black bits on the sleeves and how to do the hood? My niece would love a cardigan like this; I’ve only ever done blankets and I struggle to follow a pattern - video tutorials are very helpful!
Thank you. Yes you can, the only challenge is it's time consuming. I spent a whole month on this project.... by the time l finished l was exhausted. I would advise anyone who wants to give this a go to take regular breaks to avoid fatigue.
Loving the colour combo and how it all came together. Did you just play around with the same colours in the large square and use a neutral (black) to join and fill?
I don't have a tutorial for the hoodie at the moment, but I can guide you through the process of making it. It's actually quite simple. To determine the size, you can use an old hoodie to help you get the right measurements. Crochet a rectangle using the Granny stitch, then fold it in half lengthwise and sew one side. The hoodie is detachable, and I use buttons to attach it to the coat. I hope this helps. Happy crocheting!
No, this is a Large. I used a 5mm hook and worsted yarn. For a smaller size use 4 or 4.5mm hook and DK yarn (This is the easiest way to reduce the size without measurements) To get the right measurements... measure your chest and hips and reduce Granny Square sizes accordingly. I hope that helps. Let me know if you need more help.
Ok great yest I need more help I have created the sweater jacket and sleeves but when it comes to crocheting the black parts amd around the top to connect the sleeves im lost please help
Thank you so much for the kind words. This is a Large 16UK, EU44. I used a 5mm hook and worsted yarn. For a bigger size use 5.5 or 6mm hook and for a smaller size use 4 or 4.5mm hook (This is the easiest way to increase or decrease the size of the finished product without measurements) To get the right measurements... measure your chest and hips and make a swatch first. . I hope that helps. Let me know if you need more help.
@@WeavedIn super, merci pour votre réponse rapide ;-) Mais je ne connais toujours pas le nombre de grammes pour une talle EU44 ni comment réaliser le chapeau (un carré de quelle mesure). Au plaisir de vous lire, Sara
Hi, size depends on crochet hook size, your tension and type of yarn used. I suggest you take Chest and length measurements of the person then adjust the square size accordingly. I hope that makes sense.
Hi, sorry it's difficult to calculate the exact number of grams but l can tell you the grams l bought for the whole project... 1 x 400g black 9 x 200g of the other colours.
I'm so confused right now. So you actually put more granny square in front of the coat am I right.? There is 6 granny square in the front panel on each side... OK so how many rows of black did you crochet before putting the sleeves on?... that's where I am confused. I'm right there and cannot figure out what happens before the sleeves...please help
08:30 l used stitch markers first then the "join as you go method" The sleeve should be the same measurement as one side of the Big square. I hope that makes sense.
Thank you so so much for this tutorial! You are so kind to share this patern with us ladies. Thank you for your time.😊❤❤
You are so welcome!
This is a step above my usual cardigans, but im definitely going to make it 😊
Go for it... Let me know if you need help. Happy crocheting 🌸

What size was the larger back granny square?
16 rounds
How to measure the body for the size you need for this beautiful coat
Chest and hip measurements are the most important.
What size are u? I’m trying to figure out how many more squares are needed and how much bigger the back and sleeves should be for plus size

Is there a written pattern? I absolutely love the design and video
Sorry no written pattern. Inspired by pictures on IG

Could you explain to me how you do the black on the sleeves and around the top of the coat?
Is this cost warm
Yes it's warm
So cool, how long did the whole cardigan take to do?
Thank you. It took about a month
Took me 3 and a half solid days. About 40 hours.

@@WeavedIn no not making sense to me please help... u have a couple rows of black in there b4 connecting the sleeves how many ate there
So there are no dimensions?
No, made to measure.... measure yourself or the recipient. Mine is large.
