Ecclesiastes 5:8-20
Sermon In A Sentence:
Due to the profound impact of sin in this life under the sun, the pursuit of wealth is ultimately futile and will not lead to true contentment
Sins Impact In Life Under The Sun:
1. Financial injustices that oppress the poor and benefit the powerful (v.8-9)
2. Pursuing wealth leading to consumerism and dependence on possessions (v.10-11)
3. Wealth brings burdens and anxieties that all one’s riches can be lost (v.12-14)
4. Despite all efforts otherwise, everyone leaves their wealth behind at death (v.15-17)
5. True satisfaction is found in simple pleasures and the gift of labor God gives us (v.18-20)
